I rented the Uhaul for a couple of hours and filled it back with fuel to what is was prior to driving it off the lot. I took photos of the gas gauge and mileage just in case. I get home and check my email for a receipt and now they are charging me for 2 gallons of fuel claiming I didn't put gas in it. I called and tried explain it to the guy at the counter where I rented it from that I took a picture of the gas gauge prior so I knew exactly what to put it back to. He didn't want hear any of it. I said so basically you're charging me for two extra gallons of fuel @$5.25 a gallon that we didn't use? He said, Yep but I can't do anything about it you'll have to dispute it with uhaul and he hung up the phone on me. I continued to call back and he would pick it up and hang up. As a small business owner in the area I find it completely out of line and unethical the way they are practicing business thinking someone is not going to notice when they scam you. I would highly suggest anyone wanting to rent a uhaul do it somewhere other than Uncle Johns.

Beware of Mileage Overcharges at This U-Haul Location…read more I recently rented a U-Haul from this location and drove less than 20 miles total (verified by my own GPS and route tracking). I returned it without a problem until I saw the charge come through on my credit card which was more than double the estimated cost. When I brought this up, they said it was because the reported mileage was more than 5 times what I actually drive. The staff gave no clear explanation and couldn't help me beyond giving me a 800 number to dispute the charge. Just take care before renting from this business.

The clerk called me and told me I had to return the trailer early because someone booked it after us so we busted our butts to do so, we were going to be 15 minutes late to return it so I called to let them know and the clerk said "oh, well, the people who needed it after you decided to go somewhere else", he didn't call me and let me know nor did he care when I said it would have been nice for him to call me so I didn't have to waste so much gas to get there in time (Driving from Idaho). The clerk didn't apologize for our experience he just acted like he didn't give a care and said "take it up with UHAUL" . The customer service at this place is sorely lacking. The skilled operator put the unit on a smaller platform with wheels and used a remote control to drive the unit down our precarious driveway. He maneuvered it beautifully and parked it squarely in our driveway. UNITS was very communicative, even responding to one of my emails late in the evening. I would definitely hire them again.

I then placed a call to schedule the delivery which was answered by a LIVE person who had just seen my online request. He said "it sounds like you need the container ASAP so if you would like two of them delivered this afternoon we can do that and deliver the other two the following day". And they ACTUALLY followed through on their promise. They were kind, respectful, honest and prompt. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UNITS located in Kent, WA.
