My husband and I went here after seeing a friend's post. Her photos looked so good that I had to come try it. Recently moved to Paris, I often find myself wanting Vietnamese food (a mix of homesickness for my typical comfort food). Lately I've been to a few Vietnamese places around town and was eager to try this one. We arrived on a Monday afternoon about 12:30pm with no reservation. The place is small and dark but it has that "fancy" feasting feeling. We got seated right away at a two too that was very close to the next couple. The menu had some of my favorite dishes. We selected shrimp dumplings to start (4 in an order, small but delicious), husband got Bo Bun (just ok) and I got Hu Tieu with beef (pretty good but would of liked more flavor). The Hu Tieu's beef was very tasty though. I could really taste the lemongrass in the beef. But wish they offered some spicy condiment just to kick up the flavor of the dishes. For dessert we got the Che Chuoi and tofu with ginger syrup. Both of the desserts were very good. I gave this place four stars because yes the service is nice, good timing, menu has good items, cozy ambiance and nicely presented food but I did feel it was a little pricey for the portion and dish. You could easily go a couple minutes down the road and get the same thing, bigger portion for a cheaper price. I think here, you pay for the location, presentation and ambiance. Starters are around €7-€10, entrees about €12-€14 and desserts €7 (approximations). Would I go back? Probably not but it was nice to try the place! I personally just prefer a more authentic place with more authentic ambiance.

I came here with a friend. For appetizers, we got the fresh spring rolls and papaya salad. I got the bo bun for my entree and for dessert we got some warm tapioca pudding thing and these 2 coconut-like balls (can't remember the name, sorry!). Service-wise, they were very friendly to us. Food-wise, the pricing is decent and very good. I had just returned from traveling in Vietnam for 2 weeks and was happy with all the dishes. The desserts were my favorite part quite honestly because I actually hadn't had anything similar to them in Vietnam, but they were very tasty and different. The setting itself is quiet enough to be able to have conversation with somewhat dark lighting as well. Overall, a great place and a great meal!

First time in Paris and after Mon-Fri of French food I wanted to try some Vietnamese food since we should be able to find some good places in France after all right? I just got out of the Lourve at about 9pm and walked to this place which was 12 mins via foot away. Nice small place and the food was delicious. Banh Nam - wow I like this kind of food so may not be for all and I can't find this often in the USA Banh Xeo (pancake) - perfect crisp , plenty of shrimp and pork, I would give this an A really was that good and not all places can give it a good crisp and this place does Stuff Crab - looks like a pancake slide but it was delicious, a bit over priced Bad: - I ordered a coffee su da and it came half full. I noticed when water is poured in France it goes half way. Not sure if this is a French thing. - there was not a lot of side lettuce for the Banh xeo and a proper one comes with plenty of salad to wrap it I highly recommend this place Give it a try

Was stoked to check out a Vietnamese restaurant in Paris. The Goi Cuon (summer rolls) were nicely wrapped, probably best I've seen for a restaurant. It's has chicken and shrimp in it, which was good. They could make a better sauce for it. Their pho was decent, the broth lacks flavor. The meat and vegetables was fresh and tender. The dessert, Che Chui, was good, not too sweet, just right.

This restaurant may be my favorite dining experience this week. The staff are overly courteous without hovering, and the food is wow-outstanding. The appetizers are hard to describe, but I've had them before, so they're not "unusual" as much as the words escape me. They are cracker-like devices, with sesame seed and some have a wasabi base. They're good. I had the Banh Xeo Végétarien and a bière saigon, and the Banh Xeo is GREAT. It has a very wide flavor, and a substantial texture to go with it. (you can safely skip the bière saigon) The restaurant is roomy (for Paris) and has some reading material scattered around, in case you are dining alone - the people watching on rue Hanovre is slim pickings. Be forewarned, they appear to be bi-lingual but it does not appear to include English.

I ordered the Banh Xeo even though I had no idea what it was, but other Yelpers were raving so I trusted them.

It's a small place, but several tables were available, it was quiet, and they were fine that we didn't speak much French...like at all! We all had pho and got an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were HOT and served with a yummy vinegary sauce. The pho had amazing flavored broth. My husband liked the hoisin sauce and I loved the homemade sriracha on the tables. My daughter loved the tender slices of steak in our soup!!! Sooo good! We also had aperol spritz and Coca Cola. We also noticed we didn't get the "traditional" sprouts, mint, and jalapeños like we do in the states, and while we didn't ask about them, a French woman sitting next to us did, and the server brought her some bean sprouts. We did get some sliced red peppers/chilis...and BEWARE--they are spicy! I love spicy, and these had my mouth fired up! Haha! Over all, great food, quick service, quiet place to come and enjoy a meal with family or friends or on your own. Note-they do appreciate payment in cash, but will take card too.

Pho came out shortly. Everything about it was almost perfect. The multiple layers of herbs brought everything together. All in €20 and warm and friendly service to match. If the weather is right , outside tables are an option. I started with the nem du porc (crispy spring rolls) they came with fresh lettuce and mint that you wrap the rolls in before dipping into delightful sauce. They were truly the most incredible ones I have had in a long time if not the best of all time. The herbs were so fresh. I also got the Pho Boeuf (pho tai). The noodles were bouncy and the broth clean and simple. The was more than ample beef and they give you sauces and lime to go with it. Just know the bean sprouts are already in there in case you don't enjoy those but they were easily avoidable. I was also able to get some chilis to spice up the broth but they are Thai chilis so beware! I also got a Vietnamese limeade to drink and it was delightful. The server was very sweet and I feel like everything came out in a timely manner. If you are jonesing for Vietnamese in Paris this is the place to go hands down.
