Vietnamese lime soda
Lindsey S.

This place looks like a total hole in the wall but please do not let that discourage you. This was some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had, and I eat a lot of Vietnamese food. I started with the nem du porc (crispy spring rolls) they came with fresh lettuce and mint that you wrap the rolls in before dipping into delightful sauce. They were truly the most incredible ones I have had in a long time if not the best of all time. The herbs were so fresh. I also got the Pho Boeuf (pho tai). The noodles were bouncy and the broth clean and simple. The was more than ample beef and they give you sauces and lime to go with it. Just know the bean sprouts are already in there in case you don't enjoy those but they were easily avoidable. I was also able to get some chilis to spice up the broth but they are Thai chilis so beware! I also got a Vietnamese limeade to drink and it was delightful. The server was very sweet and I feel like everything came out in a timely manner. If you are jonesing for Vietnamese in Paris this is the place to go hands down.

Their pho is really good!! We had the shrimp spring roll, vegetarian pho, and chicken pho; super flavorful and the vegetables taste fresh. It's a small but cozy space!

No joke......the cooking here is just like my mom's. We had plans to come here for dinner one night, but then one night turned into two nights, and could've easily been 3-4 if we didn't have reservations elsewhere. The food is sooooo good, and the service above and beyond. It's located off a busy street, but in a small corner. The owner/chef is a sweet young Vietnamese lady and has a teenage daughter that helps with service. If you're looking to change up your dining experience in France, and want some good home cookin' come here and you will not be disappointed. We will be back!

I was craving some Vietnamese food during my 3 week stay in Paris and found this unassuming place near my airbnb. The owner/cook is super nice and works very hard. I ordered eggrolls and this vermicelli dish for total of 12.5 euros. Both tasted delicious and were pretty filling. Service was top-notch too even though the owner was operating the entire place and cooking by herself.

Super scrumptious bo bun! (Be sure to mix up so you hit the sauce at the bottom)

My standards are high when it comes to good, homemade Vietnamese food and this place is incredible! The food blends to create an explosion of delightful (yet not over powerful) burst of flavor in the mouth. We had the egg rolls (delightfully crispy/crunchy on the outside and perfect pork and chewy vermicelli filling on the inside). We also tried the pho (delightful light tasty broth with perfect medium rare thin sliced meat) as well as the delicious Bo bun! Highly recommend if you want an authentic homemade food experience. Bonus is the openers are incredibly kind people! I came back several times and intend to keep coming back!

Phenomenal. After a week of eating butter and foie gras I needed something bright, flavorful, and comforting. This did not disappoint. It was loaded with fresh ingredients. The broth with the pho was very good as were the meatballs. The steamed rice roll was so good I ordered a second one and fought over it with my friend. I'll be back.

Great hole in the wall Vietnamese place. Not much selection but everything is very fresh and well done.

Beef and meatball phở.

This place hit pretty close to home. The owner is so nice and accommodating. She stated she doesn't know how to market her business but only knows how to cook from the heart. I highly recommend this place if you're craving for authentic Vietnamese food and please write a good review for support if anyone comes here. Hole in the wall places are the best!

Beef Bo Bun

Friendly service and delicious food. We ordered the fried pork spring roll (nem), fried prawn ravioli, bo bun and beef pho. The bo bun was outstanding. The stir-fried beef was cooked just right and flavoured wonderfully with lemongrass and onion. We ended our meal with a chocolate nem with dried coconut.

The shop is so cute in the corner of Blvd du temple. Such authentic pho in Paris, and I am saying it as a Vietnamese. I was craving for some hot noodle soup and It's perfect for a cold day! All of other food here is exceptional. The cook is the owner too and she's so nice.

Bun nem.

Love this place! It's a slice of home away from home. The owner is friendly, the place is cozy and unpretentious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast. Most importantly, the Vietnamese food is authentic and delicious! The owner, who often operates this restaurant by herself, is also the cook -- and uses fresh ingredients to make staple Vietnamese dishes. The result? Simple flavors, great good: The perfect bowl of beef pho with a fragrant broth that hits the spot, or the bun nem that's light, fresh and and flavorful (see pic), or whatever you fancy on the menu. Whether you're a tourist craving Vietnamese food, or a local looking to try authentic Vietnamese food (minus all the fancy "fusion" creations that restaurants are trying to do these days), drop by this place. You won't regret it. I came here twice during my three days in this area of France!

Fried Shrimp Dumplings

Surprise of my trip finding legit pho in this hole in the wall in Marais. Tasted like my mom made it. Larger slippery noods, clean broth and tender thick rare beef put in last minute. Portions smaller than usual LA standards but I was really impressed with it overall!

The presentation of both the restaurant and the food is classy, yet unpretentious, simple, yet casually modern. I was happy to order the bun cuon which isn't the easiest to find even in Vietnamese restaurants in big cities. My friend got pho with vegetables and spring rolls and went crazy for them. Fresh mint in the water? Excellent bonus! It was a great place to people watch as we sat right by the front door/sidewalk and is a good place for a light business lunch. If you're short on time to eat (service was very efficient!) but still want to be happy with a memorable and affordable meal, Hanoi is a top spot!

Offering Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai cuisine, Chez Cay unfortunately fell short of delivering authentic Vietnamese flavors. I ordered the Beef Pho, and found the broth lacking in depth and richness, while the noodles resembled more of pad thai than traditional pho noodles. Instead of fresh thinly sliced flank pieces, you'll find bits of brisket, meatballs, and maybe what resembles thinly sliced flank?? Attempting to salvage the dish, I reached for sriracha and hoisin sauce, only to discover they weren't available.

The menu is quite large and there is a menu in English. To start we ordered chicken dumplings that were good. I ordered Pho and my husband the noodles with chicken. The soup broth was tasty after adding all the herbs and sauces. My issue was with the beef slices. Some were tough with gristle that made it impossible to chew, others had an "off taste" and others were perfectly fine. The noodles were perfect! My husband enjoyed his dish but had a hard time locating many bits of chicken. I would not return as there are many other Vietnamese offerings in the area.

Yesterday at a nice bistro I got a salad to lighten things up, and it had so much creamy dressing, I was right back where I started. Needing a change, I headed for Foyer Mon Vietnam, up a small street close to a pretty happening area of the latin quarter. The place is cozy and welcoming, clean, with plants, warm lighting, and reasonably sized and spaced tables (indoor dining only). The service was super friendly and fast. But best of all the food was so FRESH and DELICIOUS. I walked out with a spring in my step. Tomorrow I will eat a kilo of cheese again, but for now I am light and free! We had crab & shrimp rolls (fried so crispy but not oily at all, with tasty sauce that was tangy, light, and perfect without being goopy/thick, with accompanying lettuce and mint leaves, ordered a 2nd round it was so good), papaya salad (crisp fresh vegetables, fresh shrimp, great light dressing, no overwhelming garlic), lemongrass chicken (good quality white meat chicken, nice variety of colorful vegetables in various shapes that aren't just boring chunks, and just the right amount of spiciness), and white rice to balance it out. Summary is this was fresh, light, high quality ingredients, friendly service, and a welcome break from the otherwise heavy cuisine common in the city. I will be back!

After some searching, I found this place that seemed promising. I ordered the pho, but it was a major letdown. I didn't have high expectations, but it still managed to disappoint. The veggie portion was minimal, the overall portion was small, and the pho had just a hint of its usual aroma. I've had everything from authentic pho to halfway decent versions, but this was bare-bones pho. On the plus side, they didn't dilute the broth, so it wasn't completely watered down. I'd give it 3 stars, but I won't be coming back.

After doing some research around the area, I'm so glad I tried out this place. A straight forward restaurant name with Banh Mi, the sandwiches are just as straight forward and delicious. I ordered the Porc Caramel and not only was the bread crispy and a perfect crunch, the sliced up carrots were some of the best I've ever had on a banh mi itself. Also, I like to say I have a good spice tolerance, but Banh Mi's jalapeños are such a great spicy kick to add to this banh mi. I loved this place so much, I went here twice; once upon exploring Paris and then once again before I left France because I loved how delicious this banh mi was. I must also add I was able to meet the owner and the employees and they are so friendly and so nice and so welcoming.
