This was my FIRST time renting. Start to finish this was the WORST experience renting. They were 45 minutes late picking me up. It was someone else's insurance picking up the tab since they hit me. They took a deposit for what they said was gas... or "incidentals". They tried to stick me in a car I didn't want. They offered the guy next to me a pre paid less expensive gas price - didn't offer it to me. The woman said I would get my deposit back when I dropped it off and if it was in the same condition with the same amount of gas in it- that was it. Well I dropped it off Monday. I called today, a week later, to see when it would come back to me and "Matt" the "manager" said 6 times when the insurance company pays for it and they close it out- then I'll get it back. I told him maybe he should tell his associates to let customers know that and I was told yet again the same " well when the insurance company pays it out" yup got it Matt. I will never rent from this company, definitely this hole of a location again. They have 2 cars to let you rent- a crap car or a crappier car ... now this. Very disappointed in the company and the manager a jerk. read more

Mikalah and the other girls there were great! Drove them nuts trying to get an suv to replace my wife's after someone hit it in Stop and Shop parking lot. Ended up getting a Charger which was cool for a while, but couldn't drive a bunch of kids around... it all worked out. I'd use them again of course, easy in and out. always answer the phone, and great service. read more

After a car accident several days ago, insurance rented us a car at Enterprise. Went to pick it up only to be told Enterprise screwed up and didn't reserve a car. We were told to call back the next day to reserve one. We have been calling back every day since that time and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE, recording says everyone is busy. After being on hold for about half an hour, the call is automatically disconnected every single time. Unprofessional doesn't even describe our experience with this company. read more

I rented an SUV while my car was being repaired in the body shop. I must say the car was the dirtiest car I ever rented. The windshield I believe was never washed it had such a thick fog on it you didn't need sun glasses. The change oil light kept blinking the whole month that I had the car. Oil hadn't been changed for some time, very aggravating. When I complained to the clerk I was promised a $100. credit appearing on my credit card, ths is a month ago and still haven't seen it. We needed a one way rental to Tennessee. Enterprise wanted to charge an exorbitant amount for the drop off fee. I spoke with Joe, the manager at the Westerly and Narragansett locations, and he was beyond fantastic. He was willing to reduce the drop off fee, went above and beyond to assist us in securing the rental, and then when the drop off location made a mistake and double charged us the drop off fee Joe jumped through hoop after hoop to make sure I got the correct refund. I've rented many cars over the years and I can honestly say that Joe and his team at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Westerly exceeds expectations every time. They are a shining example of excellent customer service. I won't use another rental agency unless I have no other choice. Thanks again, Joe and the Westerly team. read more

I needed to rent a vehicle for 1 day,my own car was in the shop. I reserved it through the website and reserved a Nissan Rogue for $75.00 per day, with insurance $110.00. What I was given was a Jeep Liberty hardly a comparative vehicle, it was basic and Drove like a tank, The checkout was smooth and efficient. Upon returning it I told them for a vehicle with 23000 miles on it, it was not a comfortable car to drive and I was disappointed. For $110 bucks I'll stay with Hertz or Avid, and get the vehicle I reserved or better. read more

We reserved a suburban two weeks in advance to drive to Maine for a family funeral. We received a VM stating that we were all set and to call if we had an questions. When we went to pick up the SUV (an hour before leaving) we were told that the owners friend came in earlier in the day and took the suburban. We were then told that they would give us the number to the local airport and we could call to see if they had one.......they then called to check. No suburban available to rent at the airport. They then offered us a Jeep Cherokee to rent instead. We had eight people to drive to that's why we booked the suburban. Ended up having to drive our cars. NOT a fan of this branch!!! read more

I was renting a vehicle for vacation and they told me the vehicle we were renting was going to be ready on a day but when we went they said they didn't have the car. So we went today and they are Refusing to take our payment method. The Manager, Ryan was very unhelpful we have been loyal customer for years and now they have lost our Business. Would not return. Was referred to this location by my insurance. There was a payment issue with their machine the first time I went. My insurance had them send a car to my house later in the day. Since the driver arrived 20 minutes late, my relative who was doing the payment was not immediately available -- I told the driver, she is five minutes away, can you please wait. She said no because they were almost closed. She was barely on my property five minutes and left me without a car. I called the office to ask if they could send a car in the morning instead, he said no because "we've already sent you a car." When I responded that the only reason they had to send a car to my house was because their machine couldn't read my card, he said "that's not our problem." We pay a lot for our insurance and it was so disappointing to be treated this way by one of their car vendors. read more

If you rent a car from here or any of there locations have them write down in detail EVERY scratch! We were told "see these scratched here, those are not even something we would have issue with so don't worry about them". Apparently these people are not men of their word!! We rented the car while my wife's car was being serviced and she drove it less than 80 miles in a day and a half so I can say with 100% certainty these scratched were not done by her, they are just looking to pin the damage on us because the last guy missed it. This is not how a reputable company does business and because of this they will never get business from myself or my family again! read more

Recently while on a weekend getaway to Cape Cod my car overheated and needed to have a leaky radiator replaced. I went to the local enterprise and was treated like a long lost family member. The staff were really fantastic and got me on the road again in no time in a new GMC Terrain. Rates were very reasonable and they were just so nice. They saved my weekend. read more

We returned a car to this agency due to problems with the car a day after renting at the Providence airport. We were told that there were scratches to the underbody fender that were our responsibility since they had not been reported at time of rental. We knew we had done nothing to damage the car, but unfortunately had not checked it thoroughly in the dark airport airport garage. The agent Kyle was initially polite, but after a long drawn out discussion became increasingly arrogant and disagreeable. We were told we could not leave until we filed a claim with our insurance company. At one point he implied we could pay him directly in cash to take care of it, which we thought was highly unprofessional. Bottom line is you must check out a rental car extremely thoroughiy for any damage prior to rental if you plan to return a car to this agency. I was convinced we would have had no issue had we returned it to the airport. read more
