This is a great location and the service is expedient and excellent. I have been here 3 times, and each time the reasons have been unfortunate (for me). But I must say that the staff here does not add to the strife and stress you may already be experiencing upon arrival. Horrible experience at Morris avenue location in Union NJ. I had an accident with my personal car, and although I didn't have rental insurance through Geico, I supposedly get a discount at Enterprise. I called this enterprise location and was told the rate was $29/day. When I got the rental car in the lot and was about to sign, they were trying to charge me $40! I said I was told $29 and the rep said no, it's $40. He looked puzzled, like "I don't know who could have told you $29".... I then asked for smallest car because I wanted that rate so he switched me into a different one and told me it was $35. Then I said no, it's $29, and he finally agreed to honor it BUT I HAD TO HAGGLE! Worst screw was when I went to return it, I was charged for an extra day. I rented Thurs AM at 8:45. I went to return Sat AM at 8 but they did not open til 9. They charged me for a third day! I had the car for only 48 hours!!!!!! I am currently fighting with corporate to get my money back for the third day. They tried to blame it on Geico and said since I had it for part of Saturday it counts as a full third day. enterprise car rental at 1755 Morris Ave. Union, NJ is by far the worst enterprise that I've ever used. The vehicle's battery died and the company that they farm out to provide roadside assistance took 90 minutes, mind you, a very cold night. In addition, enterprise has the audacity to charge the customer a $55 charge for a jump. i am prepared to take this up the 'food chain'! it's shameful that hard-working folks are being ripped off by Enterprise! They called me the day before to confirm. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! car was not ready when we got there. 5 or 6 employees just standing around doing nothing. we were there almost 45 minutes before the car was brought to us. we had to wait outside because there is NO customer seating. when we got car, it was dirty and not a comparable version of what we rented. when i complained - i was told that i was being "disrespectful". thought we had a solution figured out - after not getting any updates for 10 minutes, i asked if i could leave with the car (which was the intended plan), an employee came right up to my face and told me to "tone it down"....i told her that she wasn't in a position to tell me that - I'm not her child or student or employee - I am the CUSTOMER. At which point she verbally assaulted me and physically threatened me. She kept stating that I could not disrespect her as a Woman - ironic as she and her female employees were teasing a male co worker for a wearing a pink shirt. Once car arrived, the young man, Lucas was very patient and accommodating to me and my young daughter. I made a reservation with this enterprise because my car needed to be repaired. I asked specifically, in advance, how long it would take to get me into a rental car because i have work at 9am. They also agreed to pick me up from the repair shop. I even received a phone call confirming my reservation. This morning I'm waiting at the repair shop and no one has come to pick me up. I was lucky to find my own ride to enterprise and now I'm currently waiting in the lobby and I am late to work. Dave, one of the workers here, said I should have "called to confirm my reservation". The lady at the desk was very polite but other than that the customer service or sense of urgency is lacking. I would not recommend this rental company to anyone. The manager, Vincent is the worst person to deal with. He is dismissive and so unprofessional. Definitely will reconsider using Enterprise in future and definitely not use the Union, NJ location. They're rude, unhelpful and try to upcharge their vehicles because they can. I had to deal with them 3 days in a row to eventually just go and cancel my rental to go with Hertz instead. I needed a rental because my car was in for repairs and would be for 2-3 weeks. So much for caring about keeping my business Enterprise! Their cars are not cleaned properly and they literally don't care about that place. After spending 10 minutes on the phone with reservation clerk Joshua at the Morris Avenue location, he disconnected me. I had asked to speak to a supervisor to try to get a better rate for a friend who has rented from Enterprise at this location for the last 10 years. Joshua obviously didn't like I was trying to get a better price after he spent time with me. I was disconnected and was fit to be tied. I was there on a Monday morning, they were clearly under-staffed and despite this they were not in a hurry to get things moving. Once again, Enterprise disappoints! My last rental in NY resulted in a filthy, stained car. This site offered me a car with only 1/8th of gas and a charging port that wasn't working. When I stated that I needed more gas, it was sent out and returned with $10 of gas. Seriously? When I stated that I needed the port to work because I needed to use my phone to navigate, I was told they had no other cars and I could use the port on the arm rest and use my phone to navigate from there. I guess it wasn't a concern that I would have to look down to follow the directions. If you have a choice, look elsewhere. read more

To be fair, the employees at this Enterprise were nothing but courteous and friendly while arranging my rental. When I got to the car, the driver side window was down so I did not immediately smell the nauseating STENCH of smoke until the next time I got in the car. For being a 2010 car in 2011, it does not run smoothly and it is loud and a little clanky. The car seats (front & back) are disgustingly stained; they didn't even attempt to clean these spots off the interior before handing this off to me! If the other lady's insurance (the lady that crashed into my own car causing me to need a rental) was NOT paying for this rental, I would positively return it and demand something in better condition or just go to a better rental center for a car that is in better condition. This was my first time ever having to rent a car and I am quite disappointed. I know this will not be where I go for rentals from here on out. read more

By far the worst experience i have ever had renting a car. I was told a car was ready for me, i told them i would be there in an hour i was told ok no problem. Once i arrived the manager told me they have no cars available at the moment but should have one in 20 mins. I said ok no problem ill wait. The cars came and so did two other customers who did not have reservations. The two customers where helped before me. One customer had a doctors appointment, the manager said no problem i have a car coming you should be able to make your appointment. Then the manager looked at me and said is it ok if she takes the car your waiting on. I said no I've been waiting for 30 mins i have to go. The manager then said so you don't want to me a gentlemen and let her have the car, i said I'm sorry but no i have to go. She then said to the woman waiting he doesn't want to be a gentlemen but ill try to help you out. The manager gave the woman the car i was waiting on anyway after embarrassing me making me out to be a villain. They went outside to look at the car and then another sales rep entered who was picking up cars Tiffany. Tiffany the sales rep was very helpful and this review in no way is towards Tiffany, she was very professional and helped me get into a rental within 5 minutes. I can't believe how terrible the manager perfromed and handled a customer. She has a horrible attitude and no customer service skill what so ever. I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with such a manager. This review is not to talk bad of Enterprise as a company its directed at an employee who has terrible people skills. I had made a rental reservation for 2 of the 12 passenger vans last week. I had 16 people in my group as we traveled from Sacramento, CA to New Jersey for a family wedding. I got a call from the office the day prior to confirm the reservations. I advised that I had 16 passengers and each person would have a suitcase. A couple of us grabbed an Uber from the airport to the Enterprise location. We ended up being there for over an hour while my family waited at the airport. We got a 12 passenger van and a 15 passenger van. The 15 passenger van had no trunk space at all. The 12 passenger van had some space for storage but the rear seats were removable. I asked the rep there if we could remove it and then put it back in once we return the vehicle. He stated it was fine so we removed it. The main issue I had was with the manager. She stated that we could not remove the seats. This is the same person I spoke to the day before and told about the storage space that was needed. She talked down to me in a loud voice in front of other customers and pretty much told me I should have reserved other vehicles. Instead of helping solve the issue in a peaceful manner, she decided to escalate the issue with her insensitive remarks. Having spent approx $2,600 on the two vans, I would have expected better customer service and not being treated like a little kid who got in trouble for not doing his homework. I should also say that I am an auto claims adjuster and work for an insurance company that has an in house Enterprise rep in our office. The manager at the Morris ave Enterprise is rude, rude, rude - with an elitist attitude. She thinks she owns Enterprise, repeating over and over This is MY branch, MYYYYYYY Branch!!! I was told I was "disrespecting" the woman at the counter because I didn't have a second phone number to provide. I said - "I only have one phone, it is my business, cell and personal." "Well, Ma'am, we need a second number" she says and stands there staring at me with a condescending face. I told her I just rented from there a few weeks ago, all my info is in the computer, I had no second phone number then and I have no second phone number now" Again I was called "disrespectful" SO I MADE A PHONE NUMBER UP AND SHE CALLED ME DISRESPECTFUL AGAIN, KNOWING I MADE THE NUMBER UP --- WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IT I TELL YOU I DON'T HAVE A SECOND PHONE NUMBER TO GIVE YOU?! It was not an issue a few weeks ago. You have my info, my corporate account info, my business e-mail, etc. After being called disrespectful about 4 or 5 times, I said fine - remove all my info from your computer I'm done. I wish I saw these reviews before I decided on this particular location. The staff here are terrible and the manager is laughable. For starters, the guy that picked me up had ear buds on and the radio was obviously on his favorite rap station. Strike one the station should have been something neutral i.e. elevator music or off. When I walked in the location the carpet was dirty papers strewn on the floor in various places. The rep seemed pleasant enough Although she was curt with me. She did not thoroughly explain what will happen and what I need to do "just sign here". My rental looked great on the outside but the wipers were in bad shape, engine hesitating and when I called to ask for something different I was told there was nothing else but a van. These people kept my deposit and never gave me an explanation for the reason I was told the manager would call me and he never did. Wish I would have dealt with the Millburn branch as suggested by the insurance rep. From the beginning I had issues! I spoke with an employee (Collin) about scheduling a pick up & gave him my exact location & he said the pick up place wasn't a problem & told me to call when I was ready. I called and gave a time and was told to call AGAIN when I was ready. Gave them a call and got a different person (a female who I believe was Ally) who expressed an issue with my pick up location. After being told I couldn't be picked up from there I informed her that I confirmed with the person that scheduled the pick up that my location wouldn't be an issue. She pretty much told me that he didn't know what he was talking about in different words but they would do it this time because that's what i was told. Once I finally made it to enterprise I was met by Collin who assisted me with my rental. I stated to him on the phone & in person that I needed a vehicle that could fit two car seats and have my children comfortable which i thought was clear.. we finally get to the fleet and he showed me my options the 1st was a Camaro which I declined because again I HAVE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS, 2nd was a Dodge Dart which I also declined (at this point I guess he was annoyed) so we get to the 3rd which was a Toyota Corolla that I told him i was fine with taking!! Fast forwarding he brings the car to me & the outside was disgustingly dirty (any time that I've ever rented from them they took it to be washed first) so I requested a wash which I guess added to his attitude! After about 10 minutes he comes back and I got in the car to leave and noticed a light on so i parked and went back inside and asked if it could be checked and documented and with attitude he said it was nothing it was on because of the cold (everyone in the office heard ). After making it clear that i would not take responsibility for anything associated with that light I left! THAT WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF THE NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE! I took the car back and a guy named Brendan checked the car and said that there were scratches that I was being held responsible for which I said I would take responsibility for although they could have been there under all of the dirt since I glanced at the car & signed the papers before it was washed which was stupid on my part. Anyway he told me they had to collect my insurance deductible which I refused to pay until i spoke with my insurance. My insurance company told me not to pay them anything yet until the estimate reached them & that they shouldn't have asked to collect that money on the spot. I called back to inform them about what i was told and of course I got the lovely Miss rude Ally! After going back and forth with me she decided to take the information that I was told to provide to them about the insurance claim, as I was speaking she decided to talk over me making rude remarks so in mid sentence I stopped and let her know she was very rude. Of course she tried to change her attitude but I was already over her at that point so i provided the information and asked that they didn't contact me and to allow my insurance adjuster to contact me with the next as he said he would, her next reply was you're still going to have to pay! DUH, PAYING WHAT I HAVE TO PAY WAS NEVER THE ISSUE I STATED SEVERAL TIMES THAT I'M WILLING TO PAY WHAT I HAVE TO PAY. So to avoid me having to step out of character I kindly ended the call. A few minutes later I get a call and it's Ally who clearly doesn't follow directions well so again I requested that they didn't contact me & for them to go through my adjuster she began telling me that they're still going to contact me so my reply was you're not to call me again because you are very rude and she chuckles and replies "I'm rude hmph". How she has a job in customer service baffles me. They lost a WHOLE family who rents from them often because of the attitude and poor customer! This location will not be around much longer! They fail to realize that they're burning bridges! Corporate needs to replace all of the staff. Btw 1 star is still too many. read more

Terrible first experience. Will be my last. They ask you to call 15 mins before you need a ride, even though they can try to be a little more organized if they took down the times in advance so they can plan their pick ups and be efficient. Then the ride does not show up for a whole 45 mins - first because they gave the driver the wrong address and then because the driver cannot find our place even with a GPS. When i call and sound annoyed the person on the other side days he is the only one working and he is doing his best. When I get there, I see at least 3 people working. So lie blown! Complete incompetence so far. Then they say they are giving me an upgrade for making me wait. The "upgrade" was the most unsafe car I have ever driven. The steering wheel vibrated uncontrollably when I drove at 55mph or higher. So I have to then get to my destination and exchange the car. You'd think the company would feel responsible for the safety of its customers, but I don't think that is the case. I won't be coming back. Completely ruined my day. read more
