We talked with Caitlyn and her customer service skills are lacking. We had a reservation for a minivan. Due to traffic, we were 30 minutes late than the set time. The girl said they gave the van to the couple in front of us. We called Enterprise corporate. They told us this is not policy. I had a reservation for 10am for a mini van @ the Springfield Missouri Campbell location. Due to traffic, we arrived at 10:35am and waited in a long line. Got up to counter at 10:55. Caitlyn said, "You are an hour late and we gave away your vehicle to the couple in front of you. That is our policy." Enterprise customer service stated that their policy is to call the customer who has a reservation to confirm before giving the vehicle to another party. My opinion is that they got more money from that customer for the minivan than what I paid for my Priceline reservation. Horribly rude and offered no other solutions. It's a shame one worker can ruin the image of a whole company. If that's the face of Enterprise, please choose another company. read more

Horrible business practices. Beware of making reservations online. Despite getting a confirmation number, you will later get an apology call from the local agency letting you know that the online system overbooks extensively to offset any cancellations. Additionally, hours of operation are configured on weekends to charge you for an extra day since , according to the website, after-hours drop off returns are not permitted. Re: Lisa, I've contacted your online chat service with "Amanda," and she had the same generic explanation as your agency employee; agrees that it's very inconvenient, doesn't know why the system works that way, blah, blah, blah. RA# 8WGRTZ: Review for Charles @ the Rolla, Mo Location for service rental 7/8/25-7/15/25. Charles was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to get us into a family car so we would not have to cancel our trip. When the previous associate had missed the indicated rental notes of reserving the Explorer for our pick up, Charles worked his magic and got us into a Wagoneer. The Wagoneer was perfect for our family trip and we definitely fell in love with it. we'd like to thank Charles for his amazing customer service. Review is a little late, but it's summer and we're busy with kids. But this goes to show that a good person is hard to forget. i had a wreck in January and was fine without a car untlil my mother fell ill, so in february I rented a car from enterprise on east Kearney in Springfield. I had rented from this location before in the past and never had a bit of trouble. I don't have a credit card so I had to use a debit put a $300 deposit on the I rented it for a week initially and paid for it upfront including a $300 deposit I went ahead and it after a week for another week at a time until after I've had it weeks it wouldn't let me extend it anymore through the I kept having to call corporate office, so I went and turned the car in to the same office the same guy that rented it to me initially helped me re-rent it. He didn't look it over when I brought it in because it was right close to close as it was when I went and picked it up initially so it was a pretty hurried transaction both times. The young man was very nice very polite very congenial and pleasant to talk to. Thought this being said, I went and turned it in last Friday and had already made a reservation to pick up another car. My reason behind this was that that particular car was starting to run bad and I figured it probably needed an oil change. Could I put 3000 miles on it in a couple months so I went and turned it in and went to pick up my next car. the little twerp female there had a big old chip on her shoulder. I guess she had tried to call me inquiring about a time or two that I was late renewing my I didn't answer the phone because I work nights so she didn't like me from the get-go and she was looking to start some trouble before the weekend started. So when she went out and inspected my vehicle, she found a scrape on the front bumper on the passenger side and when she first came back inside, it was just a scrape. She came in and asked me if I had to hit a curb or something. I said no, and I followed her outside to look at it for her third time --my first time. Even in mind I had had this car for six weeks at this point in time and had never noticed this scrape on the bumper. I made a point to point out to her that I was parked about 3 feet back from the curb at that time at the office because I am overly cautious about these things. She started talking about it was gonna cost me $500 on my insurance deductible to cover the damage to this vehicle. Then she got on the phone to her damage manager or whatever her title is and told her "it was a brand new Toyota Corolla and now it's messed up and then she tried to pull up the security footage to see if she could see the damage. Keep in mind that I had to get down on my knees to see this damage. It was like underneath the bumper. I think she and her manager discussed that I was not to get another decent they put me in a Hooptie damaged minivan. So I went from a Toyota Corolla that was getting 32 miles a gallon to a Hooptie minivan that was getting 18.1 miles to the gallon. I was furious and when it all fell down to it, she was unable to pull up the security footage this happened on Friday. right around 5 o'clock. I went in at 3:30, and didn't end up driving away in this piece of crap minivan until 5:15 PM. So I went home and modified my rental agreement to turn it back in the very next day but at a different location in the same town. I went to that location the next day. I even told the girl at the counter that the van was dented. She didn't even look at it. She just handed me the keys to a brand. New Nissan and acted like it was no big deal. That's how you're supposed to act when you're renting a car to somebody. It's no big deal they have insurance and it wasn't even noticeable. And I know for a fact that I did not do that to that car. so today, Tuesday I get a voicemail from that little twerp saying they're gonna go ahead and debit my card on file for $500. So I immediately drained my bank account and put it elsewhere and I told her that I'm going to need to see that footage as will my attorney. And because I'm in the middle of a settlement for a car wreck I actually do have an attorney on retainer. This little girl has no clue who she messed with. And I really feel like she did this just because I work nights and I wasn't answering her calls even though I was paid in full and she had a $300 and that's another thing... When I dropped off my car that is supposedly damaged on I didn't get a refund on my deposit and she charged me another $300 deposit so in total they have a $600 deposit from me. And another thing when I went to re-rent it a month the gentleman that checked me in and out refunded my deposit, he charged me another one, but he refunded the first one and she didn't like that he had done that and was questioning me as to why he had done that. As if I would know. Long story short or not short at all, don't rent from on East Kearney. And the more I got to thinking about it, my former boss from five or six years ago told me that she had trouble turning in the car there. read more

Was charged a $418.23 for a cleaning fee. Pictures were sent stating pet hair and excessive filth. I took pictures! Was not filthy and the hairs are from my short haired blonde daughter and my silver shirt haired fiance. And there was sand and grass. All it needed was a vacuum. I was a customer of the Kearny street location. I have never had anything but issues with Kearny street. Rude, always had different rules each time I went in, and horrible car choices. I asked for a full-size car last time (in May 2025) and came in to a prius. Was great fitting my entire family into that car and driving to Miami (NOT). I went to this location and Noah was very nice from the start. I was in and out of there in under 20 minutes in a car that was actually FULL size. Shortly after I left the car had some kind of glitch on its IQ system which I just turned off. I let him know upon returning the car and he provided a discount for the trouble. Rented a van to help my sister move a few blocks from her current apartment. The counter at Enterprise was pretty busy when we got there but we were still in and out after a short wait. The employee that helped us was friendly and courteous and truly cared about having our business. The gentleman I spoke with (Hayden) was extremely courteous and professional throughout the whole process. I explained to him what I was looking for and what I planned to do with the vehicle and he was able to find me something that met all of my needs. On Saturday three locations refused to help get me into a rental car. East Kearney in Springfield, Missouri claimed to have no cars available. Your location on South Campbell had cars to rent but claimed not to be able to pick anyone up. Your Sunshine location claimed not to be able to assist me on Saturday because I had offended the managers from Campbell and Kearney. By the way I did not cuss or yell at anyone. I speak loud and I am not going to change that. Speaking loud is not an offensive issue and claiming I did anything wrong is Absolutely Ridiculous. Clearly your companies employees have very bad customer service skills. Earlier in the week for a different issue I had the same problem with East Kearney having no cars and South Campbell not being will to pick me up from home. I only live 8 miles from all three locations and needed a car. This is poor management on your companies part and in ability to be prepared for additional customer needs. Called yesterday to reserve a vehicle and the woman who answered the phone wasn't helpful at all. After a lengthy phone call, we finally were able to reserve a specific vehicle. Today my girlfriend took a Lyft to pick up the vehicle we had reserved to find out that they didn't even have the vehicle we asked for (we need to be able to install a car seat) and they tried to give her a Ford Ranger. Can't put a car seat in that, especially with two adults. Then they mention a deposit that isn't posted on their website nor did Katy (the woman who took our phone call yesterday) mention anything about a deposit. It wasn't brought up at all until my girlfriend got there to pick up the vehicle that we reserved and they gave to someone else. Poor business practices. If you're going to include additional fees, post it on your website and TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO BE HONEST. read more

On 4/6 I arrived at Springfield, MO airport and proceeded to the Enterprise Car Rental. I had made a reservation through travelocity. The enterprise clerk, JB Phillips, stated that he reservation I had was with enterprise in Springfield approx 9 miles away. I asked him if he could honor the reservation and he said he could at "twice the cost". He said travelocity was know for doing this. I took a cab to the other location and spoke with the manager. He called the enterprise at the airport and spoke with the manager, Lydia and she said they would honor the quoted price. I had to take another cab back to the airport and was given a vehicle. Over an hour wasted and a lot of aggravation for nothing. I will never use travelocity or enterprise again read more

I'd rate a 0 if I could. I had to rent a car after getting rear ended. I turned the car in and they found a tiny crack on the front bumper. They told me they couldn't tell me how much it would cost to fix but I'd still have to pay for it and that I HAD to put $200 down minimum to fix it. Being a broke college student I luckily had my tax return to help pay for the $200. After about a month or so I got a letter in the mail saying I still owed around $860 I believe. FOR A CRACK. They charged me for stuff under the car that you don't even see when you do a walk through when you get the car which does not seem fair at all and then charged me for them not being able to use the car for 2 days. Another $100 just to process the paperwork. I called and they only took off $200 worth of fees. All in all I paid about $850 on the car total FOR A CRACK. And they didn't have me look at the "additional damage" they found. They simply just fixed it and billed me. Remind you that I wouldn't even have needed a rental if a lady didn't rear end me. read more

On 4/19 I was billed $381.00 by Enterprise, I was informed at the beginning that my $100 deposit would be applied to the total of this bill. That information is INCORRECT. After speaking with a "manager" who went by the name is Josh. He also told me that my $100 should of been taken off of the total amount. When I informed Josh that my I was never given back my deposit and that it was never taken off the total. He then insulted my intelligence, asked me "Do yo understand how money works?". He followed this insult with "This is a joke" and proceeded the hang up on me. I've done business with Enterprise multiple times in the past for both personal and company use. NEVER AGAIN. I was told my deposit "never happened" even thought there is a clear charge to my banking account. I was then charged $381.00 which I was told "included" my deposit and that I should be happy because Enterprise "traditionally charges an extra $50-$200 on any transaction". The way this is Enterprise is managed is POOR at best. The staff member that originally helped me into the vehicle WREAKED of marijuana which I found unpleasant as well. If I could give this epitome of BAD BUSINESS a 0 out of 5 stars I most certainly would. read more

I was supposed to pick up a rental car at 9am on Independence St. however when I called and told them I was running late do to a family situation that morning they said I would have to go to the enterprise off Campbell to get a car since they only did it by appointment only and I was late. It was not THAT big of an inconvenience but I would have appreciated an effort on their part. When I got to the Campbell location the guys there were absolutely wonderful!!! I was involved in a car accident and, my car was totaled at no fault of my own. The first time this has ever happen to me. I went to enterprise to get a rental so I could go to work. The clerk there asked if I had insurance and I said yes, so I got a discount on the rental... Next question.. "do you want our insurance to cover any damage to the car?" I was afraid something could happen, especially after the accident I had just been in so I said yes. After about 6 days the guy that hit me, his insurance took over the rental... I was contacted by enterprise to be sure I still wanted the insurance. I said State Farm is picking it up? They said "they only get the car" I remember thinking "how odd since they are an insurance company" Anyway, the State Farm adjuster contacted me and, I asked him about the insurance bill. He assured me that the car rental agency asked me if I had insurance at the time of rental, knowing it was an accident involved rental. I said "no they didn't inform me of that" and, I have a witness whom was with me at the time of the rental. The adjuster asked the enterprise people "considering the circumstance of mis-communication would you be willing to let some of the insurance cost go?" He was told "absolutely not, she wanted the convenience of our insurance and, thought you would pay for it" I was so angry after hearing this I went to the store I rented the car from and confronted the girls at the counter, whom I had dealt with often the last month. They informed me that the State Farm adjuster had just called. I asked if they had told me about my insurance covering the rental vehicle and, they said they had until, my witness stepped in and, said " you never said anything about her insurance" They then got nasty saying" so you think we should ask everyone if they have insurance?" The girls were very nasty, saying "all adjusters lie and, they are all liars because they just want your money" I will NEVER rent from enterprise again. I paid 744.00$ for 28 days of insurance I didn't even need? I am not an insurance person, I am a working poor. I don't have this money to spend so why would I do this??? Convenience?? I really don't think so and, neither does enterprise. It is just their way to SCREW PEOPLE out of money. But, like the girls said.
