I had a reservation with Enterprise on North Division in Spokane and was told they'd pick me up at 9:30 AM from the auto body shop. They didn't show up until 9:55 AM--25 minutes late. I figured maybe I could still get out of there quickly. Nope. It's now 10:10 AM and I'm still standing here, waiting to be helped. When I called to ask why they were late, they gaslit me--saying I was supposed to call them when I arrived at the body shop. That was never explained to me during booking. The office is clearly understaffed. There's a full waiting room and only one person working the entire desk. The guy seems nice, but he's also telling customers stories that don't match what they were told. It's chaotic, slow, and honestly disrespectful of people's time. I was supposed to be in and out by 10:00. Instead, I'm stuck standing around while my schedule falls apart. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else. This location is not worth the headache. read more

I would prefer to leave a negative star rating if it were possible. I rented a car online for a week. Arrived at the location and it was closed (closed at noon and I arrived 12:10-12:15) My pick up time was 12 noon. Since location was closed I waited until Monday at 9 a.m. to call and was told they had no car for me, not to come in because there was no car. They would call. At 2 I called, still no car but they told me they would call in an hour. No call. Today, Tuesday, no call all day. Not the first time I have not had a car available at this location. But second time=last time! Used the E Francis location. read more

Really don't know how this place has a low rating. As a person under 25 years of age and renting through insurance, this was an easy process. I'm appreciative to 2 staff members who take of me for a little over a month of me having the rental. Both super sweet people and explained everything to me well, even giving me a good deal on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma. I get renting a car is expensive and stressful, but they review everything with you as well as the charges and what to do within the grace period if the vehicle is not up to par. They walk you through the car, checking the tires, ask that you take pictures if you notice anything wrong and go through what happens if any lights pop up and encourage you take take the vehicle back if there are problems and get you into a new one. I personally had 0 problems with the car the entirety of having it and recommend this location. read more

We booked a car several months in advance for a road trip to the wedding of a family member. The day we were supposed to pick up our car they did not contact us so we just went in to pick it up. The girl behind the counter started by saying she didn't have our info on file, then said they had overbooked by about 200 people and that she had called us earlier. Then, when I said she hadn't called to let us know we weren't getting a car and that we wouldn't be able find another car so last minute, she threatened to call the cops if we didn't leave. It was one of the most disorganized, unprofessional places I have ever been to, and the customer service was horrible. read more

Well intentioned, attractive young staff here in an office that is closed Sundays. We were told we'd be renting an economical Toyota Corolla but "at no additional charge" (except loss of 5+ miles per gallon fuel economy), a full-size VW Passat awaited us. The car smelled like a motel room converted from smoking to non-smoking by way of cleaning products. The interior windows had a film that made viewing through the windshield problematic if the sun was shining in. The windshield wipers must have been the original ones but after 57,000 miles sorely needed replacing. Both of these things are mentioned because they're safety issues. But that's only the car. It was trying to return the car that proved something of a fiasco. The young fellow who checked us in Thursday 8/4 and showed us the vehicle confirmed what he'd told us by phone; that we'd have to return the car to the downtown location on Sunday; fine. He provided the address and directions to that location. Great! Problem is (as we learned Sunday).. that location too is closed Sunday. Notes on the door of that location said they were open Sunday until 2:00, but a second note said they were no longer open Sunday and that cars could NOT be returned there. Two phone numbers were provided; one for the Spokane Valley location and the other for the airport (GEG). Neither of those numbers picked up, although we listened to recordings explaining how important our business was to Enterprise and their cleaning protocols for Covid. One of the prompts told us to leave a message (Spokane Valley) and the other (after 12 minutes) suggested we "call back later". We tried the toll free number written in our contract and that ended the same way. We drove to two locations, no drop boxes at either and express written instructions posted to NOT leave the car unless the business was open. We tried the local number again and hit the prompt for roadside assistance and after escalation to Javel (sp) we were instructed to go to the airport. At the airport Brady checked us in smoothly. Had we been told initially that the only place to turn the car in was the airport, we would have gone straight there. But from 1:30-3:25 pm Sunday we used cellular data, the topped-off tank of fuel in the Passat and our F-250 diesel to try and conform to the instructions we were given. This resulted in frustration, lost time and in expense for the fuel in our personal vehicle. EAN Holdings LLC is the owner/operator of Enterprise. It seems reasonable that they'd want to accommodate us by some measure as a result of our inconvenience and expense. Update: Tuesday August 9 the branch manager for the Midtown Enterprise office phoned to thank us for our input on both the Enterprise Customer Satisfaction survey and here on Yelp. As a courtesy and companion to an apology he refunded what we'd been charged for the rental. He also explained an intention to address employee training and the incorrect information on the Enterprise network. The network that continued to suggest there were key drops in the downtown and midtown locations. He handled the call respectfully and diplomatically. Knowing that others will be spared the same runaround is good enough for a revision from two to three stars. read more

Yesterday 2/24 I had called to make a reservation for a mid sized truck to travel from Hermiston to Spokane International Airport, I would have then returned the truck the following Monday which would have been 2/27. I had Spokane to a representative and confirmed my reservation prior to leaving to go pick up said truck. I received the confirmation email for the reservation. I called later 2/24 to see if they could push my reservation time back to 4pm instead of 2:30pm. The gentleman on the line said I called to cancel my reservation prior to this phone call. I did not in fact do that, the only phone call I made was to make said reservation and then one more time to see if they could push the time back. I was pretty frustrated with the news. The gentleman on the phone made a different reservation with me for 4pm same day. As I was about to leave La Grande I received a phone call from Enterprise, the lady on the line said that she could not rent me a truck after I got told there was the same truck on the lot for me to rent same day. I don't think I have ever been this unsatisfied with a company before. I'm very disappointed about the fact that after I made the first reservation and I called back to see if they could push my time for later that I was told my reservation was canceled. Enterprise needs to work with their employees more when it comes to these type of deals. This was the first time I have tried to rent through you guys and it will be my only time. I've heard stories like this and some even worse but I did not believe a company would do such things. read more

I was forced to rent a car through my Geico insurance after getting T-boned in a car accident three weeks ago. Once I arrived at the Enterprise location on Division St., two employees had to drive me out to another location in Spokane Valley to pick up my rental. Not very convenient. I was given a Mitsubishi Mirage and told that the tire tread was low and I'd likely have to change them out after two weeks. As a renter, I don't feel it's my responsibility to swap the tires out - and don't have a lot of time to do so - and I also expect to have a rental car that won't put me in any type of danger while I'm on the road. I was told I'd be able to swap the car out if anything was wrong and called Enterprise on Monday (the 17th). They had nothing available at the time, but indicated they'd call back by Friday. That didn't happen and I left a voicemail Friday morning. My call wasn't returned so I called again in the early afternoon. I spoke to one employee who said there might be a car available, but then spoke to a manager who told me again I could take the vehicle to a nearby tire shop to get the tires replaced. Once again, I don't feel it's not my job to do this, nor do I have time during a week day to wait up to an hour or two at a tire shop. Dealing with repairs for my own damaged car has already caused enough hassle and stress. I understand rental inventory is low, especially in the summer, but I was disappointed with the service and stunned I was asked (on multiple occasions) to change the car's tires myself. I have to make a longer drive early next week and don't comfortable using my current rental with the state of the tires. read more

I'm not sure if this branch is understaffed, disorganized, or both. My car was scheduled to go to the auto body shop on a Monday, and my insurance was going to cover a rental car during the repairs. My insurance company contacted the branch and arranged for the rental car for Monday morning at 8am. The Friday prior I received a voicemail from the branch that the "needed more information". I called back, and they said they were too busy to talk to me at that time, and that they would call me back the following day. No return call on Saturday. Closed Sunday. Monday morning: My appointment for the body shop was 8am, and the Enterprise rental branch opened at 7:30am. I went to the branch at 7:40am to touch base and make sure everything was in order for my rental. After waiting 10 minutes, I was assured by the associate behind the counter (without her looking up any information in the computer, or taking my name) that it all taken care of, and all that needed to happen was to have the body shop call when I dropped off my car for repairs and my rental would come. Got to the shop, the shop called the Enterprise office, and guess what? They had no idea what they were talking about. It was the same Enterprise office I had both received a call from the previous Friday and stopped by the morning of the supposed rental. End result: Never did get a rental. Worthless. In summation, zero stars for this branch. What a colossal waste of time. read more

I always use this Enterprise, but never again. I had been hit by another vehicle and had the rental for almost two weeks. I got the call a few minutes before I was getting off that my car was finally finished and I could pick it up. I work all the way in the Valley and get off at 5:30. The autobody shop closes at 5 and Enterprise closes at 6pm. I called them about 5:35pm asking if they could meet me at the dealership because I cannot drive both vehicles and there is no one at the shop because it is closed they left my Keys at the sales front desk. The gentleman advised me I should just bring it there to the location and they would drive me over to my car. I let him know I just got off I'm filling the rental up and coming in from the valley I will be cutting it close he told me they would be there and drive me over. I get there literally 2 minutes to 6. I take the keys inside to the 3 gentlemen in the office and was told they are now closing and his two workers have been there since 6 am he is letting them go home and refused to give us a ride to my car. Needless to say we had to walk to my vehicle (my coworker and I whom I was giving a ride home) arms full with our purses, work bags, and a few other items I had accumulated in two weeks. It was unbelievable and it would have taken them maybe 5 mins to drop us off. I was embarrassed and furious that I was treated like this, like I was inconveniencing them with my business. I will not make that mistake again. read more

I rented a Nissan Altima last Friday to attend to a family emergency In Seattle Wa. The attendant walked around the car with me and turned it in to check the gas. I got in and started it and immediatly saw the CLEAR message "due for service". I should have taken it back but was in a hurry to get to my family and thought it might be a reminder only for an upcoming oil change. On my way to Seattle the check engine came on 4 times It only cleared when I pulled over and turned it off and back on. I arrived and parked the car as I was concerned I would not be able to return to Spokane. I did not use it for the purpose I needed and borrowed my sisters car while there as I didn't trust it. The car had 49 K on it. I drove it back only to have the check engine light to return 4 times in 4 hours. I checked the oil and it was low . I returned the Nissan this afternoon and shared my concerns and that I could only use the car for over and back Two days out of six. The manager listened and told be that $316 would be credited back for the issue. I got home and see that only $100 was credited. I guess he included the $200 damage waiver as part of my credit back and not from the base rental of $355. Now I am REALLY pissed and will NOT let this go. They gave me a shit car in need of service that I could only use two days and LIED about how much I would be credited. INSULT to INJURY!!! I am retired and have nothing but time to persue this. I will be contacting the regional office as well as national to share this horrible experience and COMPLETE rip off of what was promised by the office manager in regards to my credit to my card charges, Learn math $316 from $355 is not a $255 charge for my "so called" car . I am a straight shooter and pay for what I purchase and do not weasel discounts or money off. I also believe your word should be golden once words are said and agreed to. CLEARLY this location and office manager do NOT share the same values all successful companies are built on. Happy to pay for the TWO days I was able to nurse it to my destinations but that's it. That's money off the base rental not rental plus $200 deposit. LEARN your job and back what you promised me face to face. read more

9-23-2019 we rented a car last minute from enterprise Joe the gentleman was working alone but was courteous even though very busy there was a gentleman whom had washed the car we were getting and it was still wet from just getting cleaned I had done the usual inspection and my husband drove it home so I could drop off my truck and load up the car we had noticed while picking up items that the car was vibrating and we drove it back to the lot Joe was informed and we were asked if it got worse on the freeway we didn't know as we hadn't even left town yet we also were told all vehicles had routine inspections we were not being offered a different car and time was short so we left with the vibrating car while upon the freeway it only got louder to a point the radio couldn't mask the noise at this point I called Joe we agreed to drive to the nearest Enterprise and change cars he thanked me for letting him Know and that was the end of the conversation, by the time we reached Pasco I had the worse headache and we went to the nearest Enterprise rental and asked for a exchange the gentleman at the counter instructed us back to parking lot and to a replacement vehicle, the vehicle hadn't yet been cleaned or washed and the smell from the car was nauseating we went back in to enterprise and had informed him the car he was giving us wasn't yet clean not once at either location did they offer a better vehicle and of course I think they should not ever let a vehicle like this leave thier parking lot not once did they offer a better car we drove to our location windows down and air conditioning running at both locations someone should have decided no one should be made to drive any vehichle if they think something is wrong get out there and inspect the car something geez. Don't ever rent from enterprise! I made a reservation online and when I went to pick up the vehicle they didn't have it. All they had were trucks and SUVs and I specifically wanted a car. They didn't even offer to give me an SUV or truck at the price of the car. Very inconvenient and a total waste of time. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. read more
