The Tri Cities desk told me the car hadn't been checked in yet and couldn't issue a receipt. Spokane confirmed it was checked in at 10:15 AM -- right when I dropped it off. So I called Tri Cities back. That's when things got really bad. I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes. I hung up and called back. Eight times. No answer. I left two voicemails. As of writing this review, no one has called me back. All I needed was a receipt to submit for a business expense reimbursement -- something that should take two minutes. To make matters worse, I contacted Hertz Corporate hoping they could step in. I was told that because this is an independently operated Hertz location, Corporate could not assist me. So there is essentially zero accountability and zero recourse for customers. This experience is completely unacceptable. Their reviews online are fully consistent with the treatment I received -- I wish I had read them before booking. I will never rent from Hertz again, at any location. Don't waste your time or money here.
