I had to then start trying to find a backup so my trip wasn't ruined. I called them back an hour later and was again told by another employee or owner that they couldn't find my information then after a few seconds somehow found the information abrasive, rude and acting as if I did something wrong. And then hastily telling me to just come back attempted to rush me off the phone. By that time I decided to go with the second option with superb customer service, professionalism...etc. I'm usually not one to post but the service was completely unprofessional on all levels.

None of the vehicle rentals nearby had a truck available on the day I needed it. Avis, on South Washington Avenue in Piscataway was able to accommodate me. The people who worked there were friendly and got me in and out quickly. The truck on the other hand was a beast. I got a Hino 24 ft stake body with 12,000 miles. It was a little expensive to rent and a lot more truck than necessary. The road manners of this truck were awful. It was bouncier and noisier than any truck I've ever driven. The important thing is that, thanks to Avis, I completed my task when I needed to. I recommend using them for all sorts of vehicles rentals, although I probably won't rent the 24 footer again if I can avoid it.

My wife was at work, so I couldn't ask her to remind me. I called MetroPark on April 3rd for a pickup on April 4th and spoke to 'Sid'. He seemed like a nice enough guy although he couldn't seem to either hear or understand what I was saying part of the time. He told me what the price would be for the pickup at our home and for the return trip, I gave him my credit card info and email and he said I would be receiving an email or text confirmation. By the morning of April 4th, I had still not received any confirmation but what I did receive was an almost $400 charge on my card from them. The agreed upon price I got on the phone was $120 each way. I called the main number back at 8:10 am on April 4th, got a different person, told them I had not received confirmation and asked why I was charged so much extra. He was rude and condescending, said it was sent and that I should check my spam email (which I had already done prior to calling), told me the extra fees were for gratuities and other expenses and added that I shouldn't book them if I can't afford it. Keep in mind that this comment comes from a semi-literate working at a taxi stand. Needless to say, I emphatically told him to cancel the service and hoped this would be the end of it. I then called my bank to give them the heads up about these charges as I would be out of the country for over a week. They explained that the charges were still pending, but I at least wanted it to be on record that I contacted them immediately. As I write this on April 13th, the charges were still on my card, so I filed a fraud complaint with my bank and the charges will be taken off. Also, we went with the car service we had previously used and they were honest, charged less, had a clean, new car and were top notch. Even our driver was a pleasure. To summarize, it is much easier to be an honest company who treats their clients with respect and good service than a vampiric parasite who tries to cheat honest people out of their money. You are only hurting yourselves in the long run through loss of business and reputation. MetroPark, are a few extra ill-gotten bucks really worth it?

He said he was at a party, no problem. Never did he tell me I was being charged from the original time. I believed that because I gave over 2.5 hours notice, I wouldn't be charged. I paid $193 for the trip from Metropark to Rumson. They billed me an extra $180 the next day. When I questioned Sid, he was extremely rude. He sent an email threatening to sue me if I write a bad review. The below email was sent at 1:51 pm on 11/30/2023: Megan Ferber , The charge is in line with company policy and terms and service, Please read the company policy and it was emailed to you in your confirmation as well. Secondly, We are making this a legal notification , if you chargeback this charge you will incur all cost associated with it. Meaning and not limited to Loss of business , You claimed that you will defame the business all over the internet. If such of what you described happens , We will personally challenge you legally ! for loss of business, Loss of Time, defamation and hours involved to rectify. I apologized for bugging him on his days off but he calmly said, " Purchasing a car is huge deal and commitment, especially a used one. You have to be sure. But this is why I told you to go to there. You will be in good hands."-I came back, met a different representative by the name of Josh who was extremely helpful and after my family went to test drive the Tahoe and gave me the green light, Josh got the truck down to Iselin. Corey, the manager was extremely helpful and professional as he worked closely with Ariana on the sale. There were 2 other managers , as I met all 3, who also were great . Corey and the other managers, went over the top to ensure I was comfortable with my sale and got everything I needed and wanted! To be clear: I verified eligibility before booking I showed up with all required documentation I was still denied service due to a policy that was never communicated This reflects a breakdown between corporate booking and franchise-level policies, and unfortunately, the burden fell entirely on me as the customer. I recommend that anyone booking here: Call the specific location directly Ask detailed questions about license requirements Get confirmation in writing if possible There needs to be better transparency and basic customer care in situations like this. No one should be left stranded after doing everything correctly on their end.

Miranda was amazing right from pickup to getting me a nice upgrade of a Hyundai Kona for the same price , only because of the condition of car availability which was my good luck. The checkout process was very fluent and the car condition was great. I had to return the car earlier than what I anticipated because of the loaner availability and the checkout was smooth again. I now know a place where I can look for my next rental needs if I would have one again.

They confirmed the make and model of the car and time and said yes i can come in and get the car in next 20 minutes. I go there and they say they don't have it and that the call actually went to their call center and not the agency . The Woodbridge agency say they were gonna call me to say they don't have the car but because of the day being hectic couldn't call on time . By this time I had spent 40$ in cab and 1 and half hour getting from home to agency to another agency and didn't get the car. I complained to enterprise they said we are escalating it to management .
