Can't I give it less than 1 star?
I expected a reputable rental due to location inside the Summit Hotel. My reservation was for 7:30am so that I could get to work on time. The office was closed with lights out and a sign to call the supervisors cell phone if service was needed. The first two times I called there was no answer. Another gentleman stated he called someone fifteen minutes ago and he guesses that he's on his way. The man arrived at 8am, 30 minutes after my reservation and now made me late for work. He said he'd upgrade me for the inconvenience - I was late so I took the civic and left. However, when I returned to the car I saw how absolutely FILTHY the interior was ! I went back to the location to return the car due to filth and again, no one was at the office. There was a sign saying that he would be back after getting office supplies. When i called and explained how dirty the car was, he sounded profoundly confused but said there was nothing he can do other than letting me go get it cleaned and he would deduct the cost from the rental - I requested a refund and to return the car and he said that he could not refund me because I've had the car for the day- I had the car for 3 1/2 hours at that time. The gas tank was not completely full - the EZ pass was set up and open and I didn't even know there was an Ez pass until I went to the cash toll and the guy told me that ez pass picked up - then I saw that the Ez pass was open. No one explained this to me. I ended up calling the number on the pamphlet for avis/budget because the guy from summit said he was the owner and there was nothing he could do for me. I explained to them what happened and he called back within 30 minutes and agreed to the full refund. I returned the car and booked the rest of the week through Enterprise. read more
