Rented a car over the summer after having a flight canceled from OH. Received a quote specifying an 8pm drop-off time. Dropped the car off at 7:40pm. Did not receive a receipt or any communication but was charged for two days. The office was closed when we dropped off but there was a key drop. Called Enterprise who advised to call the Summit office. Received no response. Our credit card bill was due so we disputed through AmEx and received a refund. Enterprise has been harassing us for the refunded money ever since. We have written and spoken to them and AmEx. This is in violation of their AmEx terms. Also, no one will address that we have a written quote with a stated drop-off time of 8pm so should not owe for a second day. Wrote to Enterprise Customer Service again on Jan 6 but they have not replied. Very disappointing service experience. read more

Reserved a car weeks in advance. Got an email an hour prior to closing telling me they would not have the car I reserved at the reserved time. I would have to wait 5 hours until one was available. The staff was rude, cut me off in mid-sentence and transferred me to the nationwide reservation desk. Diego, the Assistant manager conveniently made himself unavailable. No cars and no workable alternatives. Eric and Matthew were both in hurry to get us off the phone since they were in rush to close. Steer clear of this location. You will be frustrated and annoyed. A really great and easy experience! I typically rent from the airport but it was very expensive for that weekend. I decided to rent from this branch and it was an easy experience. Brian was super helpful and showed me everything I needed. Drop off was a breeze as well. Overall a super easy experience with good customer service and the car I was given was clean so that's always a bonus. Five star service. Kevin and his colleague (another gentleman whose name I did not get) are absolutely committed to customer service and have gone the extra mile for me several times over my 10 day car rental. I arrived in Summit from NYC on Saturday August 8 after their office hours (my bad) yet Kevin waited for me and even picked me up at the train station with zero complaints whatsoever. A few days later I exchanged that car for another (first car's alignment was off - not dangerously - which Kevin had warned me about) and that process was completely seamless. I had to extend for an extra day - which I couldn't do online, and Kevin took care of it again with zero complaints. I will ALWAYS rent from this location! Thanks for a great experience. read more

I was very impressed with the staff and the service and liked everything about my rental -- except for the 30-35 minute wait to get picked up in town (the ride back home three days later was immediate). Overall, a wonderful experience and you can't beat the convenience. All of the staff were well-trained, cordial, friendly and polite. My reservation was for a standard size Buick Verano or similar and I got bumped up to a Jeep Patriot. When I came back Monday 45 miles over the 300, the manager/representative took it off without my asking. I'll be back. read more

For the past ten years, I have been renting cars here. I've always been able to leave my car in their lot, which is convenient for off hour returns. This morning I was told that this is no longer possible, and had to return home and be brought back to their office, adding an unnecessary 1/2 hour to the process. I rent a lot for business. I live closer to the Budget office inside the Grand Summit hotel but after having many customer service issues, I started using Enterprise more. When I walk in they know who I am. They're all really nice and professional. Love that they will pick you up and drop you off. read more

These guys are awesome!! They are always accommodating and willing to give you a ride. Very efficient; in and out both in receiving and returning the cars. No hard sell on the insurance. be warned this office changed the terms (cost) to me for an insurance rental. i have a signed agreement for $3 per day. when i dropped the car off 21 days later, it changed without any notification to over $20 per day. they do not honor their written agreements! read more

This has to be the nicest car rental place in all the land. Since moving to Summit I've used them quite a few times, and every time I've had fantastic service. The cars are well maintained, and the staff is friendly and professional. Very bad costumer service at the summit morris ave location enterprise car rental in NJ. First was given a car on an empty gas tank so I had to drive the car with a blinking gas tank then had to put $45 in the gas tank after receiving the car within 5minutes after. Then when returning the car I was greeted with an angry tone from a representative which I thing was the branch manager who stated, " there is ash on the floor and car door and I need to Gert it detailed now so you need to give me $150.00 now. Never felt so bullied in my life. First was never given a policy on smoking and was never asked what was the ask from. I am an African american so I guess they figure it weed or Newport's. I could have told them the ash was encents that i light while driving due to anxiety from a previous car accident but I didn't say anything cause the bulling was way to much and felt like I got $150.00 stolen from me so they can get a free car wash out of me. I even light it in my car and I drive a Mercedes E 300 2018. Will never never never go there again even if I got to walk 100 miles. I'm so not with being treated like I'm not human. read more

I usually go back to the New York area at least once -twice a year for a long period of time...3 to 4 weeks, I rent from Enterprise because it is convenient for me, and I have been doing this for the last five years!! However, there seems to be a policy that if you rent a car for more than 30 days that it has to be inspected by the rental agency....and you can NOT go to any other Enterprise location. Since I was traveling between 2 states for 5 weeks, this put a crimp in my plans....I asked several times for a Supervisor to be contacted, and the agency rep said it's a national policy. I can understand the car has to be checked...but why does it have to return to the original location??? I was under the impression that Enterprise was a national company, so what's the problem??? Otherwise the car was clean, staff was personable, and helpful. I also have Enterprise Plus....which isn't much of a benefit. read more
