So the staff is awesome. I got the car I wanted, nice little buick crossover from Wyoming. They greet you with a smile, very professional and efficient. The wait times are absolutely abysmal. Seriously wasting peoples time even when you have something reserved. If this is "just another Monday" (guy at the front literally just said that) for you maybe it's time to make some changes to how you run your business. Just a couple ideas: 1. hire more people to work the front desk and prep your cars 2. Be open for longer than 5 hours in Saturday. 3. Be open AT ALL on Sunday. This is insane and no other enterprise I've been to wastes this much of its customers time. P.S. I'm more that half an hour past my reservation time and still waiting. I'll update later with how long it actually took. Update: they don't even have the car I reserved. After waiting 40 minutes past the reservation time they tell me they don't have the car. Reserved a car online. Maybe it was an off day but I arrived about 5:15 with a 5:30 reservation. The lobby was full of people. The girl answering the phone was telling people they were currently waiting for cars to be returned. I waited an hour and finally got my vehicle. Mostly clean but back window looks very dirty, might be from out gassing and it came fully equipped with a spider web along the back window. Two different people that had been waiting before I got there were offered vehicles other than what they've served so they cancelled and left. Like I said maybe it was on off day but sure was not a pleasant experience for me. read more

‼SCAM ALERT ‼  Do not give this place your business! Upon picking up a rental for two weeks, the customer service worker offered me two days of insurance coverage. I accepted and agreed to this, as it would be roughly $80. Before I signed the agreement, she CLEARLY stated, "If you want to extend the insurance coverage beyond two days, just give us a call and we can do so." I never extended.  Yet, when I came to turn my rental in, I was completely shocked to see a charge of over $400 for insurance coverage. I called and spoke with an employee, who said he couldnt do anything because the charge already went through. He deferred to a manager who was "on lunch" and would "give me a call back". I never received that call back. I called again, this time speaking to an actual manager, who differed me to his GM, also conveniently "on lunch" and have STILL not gotten a call back. The customer service worker absolutely mislead me. I trusted her word, yet now I'm stuck with a big bill I did not agree to. It's clear management just hopes I'll go away if they ignore me. Worst customer service! I'm so disappointed in Enterprise. It's safe to say, I will NEVER return here! -10 stars read more

Went in to get the vehicle serviced (oil change light came on, coolant levels were BELOW the minimum line) within a week or two of being issued the vehicle. The wait to get it serviced was unfortunately too long to work for my schedule, so I called and they said they had no problem swapping the vehicle out for another one. I get to the front desk to explain my situation, I'm met with immediate attitude from a man called Jose. "Well did you get it checked?" Well the change engine oil light came on in the car, so I'm pretty sure that means that it needs an oil change. I also noticed the coolant was wayyy lower than it should've been. So regardless of the records they have in their little system, the car needed servicing, point blank. He looks up the digital records and guess what..... it does need an oil change! Imagine that. Then he has the audacity to say "you're 200 miles over". Yea.... That's actually why I'm here and exactly what I said in the first place. I'm sure they deal with many angry or slightly incompetent people, but I went into the interaction so kindly and was met with attitude and honestly demeaning treatment. read more

It's been awhile since I rented a car, and in that time, I went credit card free. I used to use another rental company, but they started requiring a credit card to rent, and informed me that had always been the case. Which was untrue. So... I looked up a few other rental companies and found that Enterprise will rent w/o a credit card. Yes, you have to bring in confirmation of your address, which is no big deal. Now the last time I used Enterprise, it was located elsewhere in pretty small location. This larger location hosts a lot of different vehicles. It's spacious and efficient. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. They asked if I'd be willing to substitute my small SUV with a sedan. I just needed something with a trunk, so they upgraded me to a larger SUV. The vehicle was pristine inside and out. The wait was about 10-15 minutes, but the waiting area is spacious and comfortable, with water available. Drop-off went smoothly, my ride was late so they offered shuttle service. I was told my deposit would be refunded 3-4 days. They emailed my invoice to me, which I appreciated. Since we're a 1 car family, I'll be renting again soon, and I'll be back to this Enterprise location. read more

I love Enterprise car rental. This trip was great!!! We had to drive up to Aspendell CA elevation 9000ft the car sailed smoothly the whole way, and was extremely comfortable for long drives. Among various other questions I had, I went back and forth on which compact car I'd be comfortable driving (as the choices I was offered seemed larger than what I'm used to), and Jovannah was so compassionate, kind, patient and genuinely super cheerful from start to finish!! I reserved a full-size SUV needing to seat 8 6 weeks before our trip. Four days before our reservation I called and confirmed our reservation and inquired when it would be ready. "7:30 or 8:00am". We arrived at 8am to find the doors locked and Saturday hours to be 9:00am. We were taking a ski team to summer ski camp, and this left our athletes with an assistant coach and second vehicle standing in a parking lot across town. They tried to give us a large suv which seated 7. No go. So we got a car that was covered in bugs and road grime. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 was that when an employee did get there he did try to help and had a positive attitude. Sadly there aren't more choices in town. But it will make me less likely to use Enterprise when I travel out of the area. read more

Worst enterprise I have ever experienced. Incredibly unprofessional, Rude, incompetent and disrespectful staff. After booking months in advance, and checking in online, providing all documentation and signing all paperwork, I arrive and am told I have to wait 30 minutes to speak to someone, and when I finally do they tell me it'll b about an hour before I can get the car. They tell me this is how it works, that they do things "different" here. Mind you it's. 107 degrees outside and I'm traveling with two kids under 5. They last thing you want or should have to do after a long day of travel. They tell me the car isn't ready and they have to go clean it. Then they make me reproduce all documentation and sign every document again, what is the point of reserving in advance and checking in advance? Too frustrated to write more here but just know no other enterprise has ever been like this, if I rent a car in advance and check in online I expect a car to be available, and if it's not at least some kind of heads-up and definitely not foul mouthed rude staff that literally want to pick a fight with "don't start this with me sir". read more

What's terrible location. I booked a car, showed up to collect it and was told I'd have a 20 minute wait. That's fine I was early. So no problem. After 40 minutes I ask for an update and the guy says oh, well we don't actually have a car for you. So he completely lied to my face. He said I had to wait for a car to come in even though they accepted my reservation. This is so unacceptable. I had a doctor appointment with my oncologist at uc Davis I missed because they cannot fulfill their obligation. So when I finally get a car after 2 hours of waiting I ask if my return time will update, they said yes. However it did not update and I got messages stating my return time was the original reservation time. So now I have to wait 3 months to see my oncologist because I was 2 hours late. Thanks a lot enterprise. If you have any other choice use any other rental car service. This place is unreliable and will muck up your plans because they're incompetent!! This is my go-to rental car place in Redding - they have a long line but also thankfully a pretty big team, so it's not that bad. Service has always been friendly - Chris and Bili(sp?) in particular were really great, comped me the gas fill up charge because the car's lane control sensor malfunctioned and pulled my car out of the lane rather than keeping it in the lane. They upgraded me to a midsize as they didn't have any compact cars. All in all, these folks are professional and friendly, the cars are clean, and they get you on the road quickly! read more

I had to rent a vehicle to come back home, and Enterprise is generally the best place to get one. I had never personally rented from the Redding location, but this won't be the last time I ever need a rental again. I had booked online for a small car one-day rental dropping off in another location. I arrived got checked in, and since they did not have a small car, they did not want me waiting around, so they offered me a minivan which I gratefully accepted since I had things to do. They were able to waive the gas for me and give me the same vehicle rate since they did not have a small car. This last time renting with Enterprise will most likely be the last time for me, unfortunately. Not only was the experience with the vehicle they rented me poor (issue with defrost system, had to drive with the windows down to be able to see - in the cold... and service warnings continued popping up over the two days we had the car), but I mistakenly left a few items in the center console when I returned the vehicle. Upon realizing about 48 hours after return, I called them to ask about those items, and spoke to Fernando (?). I was told there was nothing left in the lost and found so they must have thrown them out. I expressed that somebody should have called me to come pick them up. He said he would check with the staff to make sure, and we would go from there. As I began to respond and ask for a call back, click, the line went dead. He hung up on me!? Between the poor vehicle and poor customer service, I most likely will take my rental needs elsewhere, next time. read more

Showed up at 11am to pickup to the car I had reserved to pickup at 11am. I was checked in and told there were 4 people ahead of me. How long will that be I asked. Again I was told there were 4 people ahead of me. I asked again how long and was told a third time 4 people ahead of me. I don't see 4 people anywhere on my watch so I have no idea how long I will be waiting for my reservation but there are 4 people ahead of me and they will call me when my car is ready. I've waited for an hour and when they finally called to tell me my car was ready they bring me a car covered in bugs on the outside and just as dirty inside. Im sorry but I don't believe they are are sanitizing cars if they are not even washing them. They didn't even clean this one before trying to rent it to me. I'm now waiting while they wash it. Been 1 1/2 hours since I showed up to pickup my 11 am reservation. Won't come to this location again and suggest that you do not either. I was ultimately given a different car which I guess is an upgrade but still waited way to long for a reservation and this car doesn't look very clean either. I will post pics of whatever is spilled on the back seat before I clean it off as well as the rest of the dirt. I already threw out candy wrappers from the center console. This car is cleaner than the first one they tried to give me but it's still the dirtiest rental car I've ever rented. I was told I'd get a free day for my troubles when coming back. Very disappointed with enterprise these day. I wanted to rent a car, literally the cheapest one for my road trip. I showed up thinking my total would be $280, WRONG ! They charged me an extra $120 because of my age ! Then a extra $92 just for "distance and time "? Whatever that is ANNDDD ANOTHER $267 just because I needed to drop of at a different ENTERPRISE. I have rented many cars in my life and Enterprise Rent-A-Car is my choice when I need a car. With my Costco discount, how could you complain about the cost..... about $25 per day ($191/week, actually). Cheaper than Uber or Lyft if you go any distance at all. And they will pick you up and return you home. I selected a Hyundai Elantra to rent for a week. I was picked up at my home (must be within 5 miles of the shop, I believe) by John, who was friendly but professional and polite. He took me to their location and I had my car within 15 minutes. There were plenty of agents to assist me. My car was clean, though a few scratches and bumps were noted. The car functioned well and without any problems. Brakes, steering, and all other systems worked as expected. And the Elantra actually did get more than 40 mpg! Customer service was fantastic! I returned my car an hour later than I was suppose to, but Austin waived any late fee. At other rental shops, I was charged an additional day just for being minutes late. I did appreciate the customer service at this location. I'm a fan of Enterprise and their competitive rates. I will return. read more
