Response to owners comments Your office was CLOSED WHEN WE ARRIVED IN GEORGIA. I called Donna as soon as you opened the following morning. Remember, Georgia is 3 hours ahead and I wasn't going to chance getting charged another day in that hellhole!! You don't explain WHY Beds on Line charged us $200/ night when in fact our rate at the hotel was $25? Or WHY every time I inquired about my refund, Donna kept saying Beds on Line was INVESTIGATING the matter. And advised me not to dispute the charges through my bank, which I ultimately did after a couple weeks of getting the run around. I'm sorry but I don't care how long you've been in business, this is shady practice. I will never use your agency again and will tell everyone I know of my experience. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you book with this company, be sure to ask any question you could imagine. They won't tell u it's an additional 3 our drive time after traveling to another country. They will NOT be sure to book you WITH air conditioner in the hottest months of your travel destination. Then when I called to ask Donna questions and asked her why she would communicate certain things that were later found out, she'll hang up on you. Before her hanging up I asked why she was being so rude to me and that I had been very respectful to her. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. read more

This was a waste of money. We dealt with Sonya an was really disappointed with her and her service.being our 1st major trip we wanted to make sure everything was ok. We went in a couple times to ask some questions and ahe completely blew us off and acted like we were just wasting her time. We ended up changing a few things that we paid HER to do, her response was " well I will be on the phone for about 4 hours". It took my husband 45 minutes to make all the changes. We will never recommend this company or use them again. Save your money an deal with the airlines an hotels personally, you will save more money in the long run. read more

Avanti Travel of Redding is an outstanding travel agency, especially if you are traveling to the Northern California and Southern Oregon area to visit the Redwoods, Crater Lake, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Lassen Volcano National Park Courtney Webber of Avanti did a fabulous job for us. We just returned from the trip of a lifetime thanks in large part to the guidance of our fabulous travel agent, Sonja Bean. A river cruise down the Danube with top of the lines, UniWorld. This all inclusive experience with no packages to buy, no tipping allowed, happy crew, attentive service, fabulous food and included excursions was a dream trip. Sonja took care of unexpected changes, routing, and we got expert tips and advice that made it the best journey yet. Kudos to her and thanks to UniWorld....memories we'll treasure. Booked a over $5000.00 trip with Avanti Travel. Got ill, cancelled and then tried to rebook. I had been leaving messages on the main gals line, and messages with other girls only to find out they did not contact me in a timely matter and the trip and money are gone.. I had trip planned through Avanti Travel and it was a complete disaster. Well before the vacation was to commence, I had a situation and needed to cancel. Of course I knew there would be fees attached but I had NO idea it would be so difficult. After communicating with my agent for a month trying to get the cancelation/refund/transfer policy from her to see what my options were to no avail, I went in to the facility. The receptionist immediately said she was not available (even though I could see her with my own eyes speaking with other clients). I understand that I did not have an appointment BUT, I had been trying to get information from her for a month and the timeline to get my full refund back was closing quickly. She then sent in the mail 2 brochures with the "Silver" and "Gold" insurance packages I could purchase for the trip. After I sent her a letter through the mail AGAIN begging her to cancel my trip, she ceased communication with me and started contacting my boyfriend. I believe this was a technique to stall because I had explained to her that he works out of town during the week in an area without an internet connection. To this day I still don't know if my trip is fully canceled. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS TO SHIP A PACKAGE LET ALONE SEND ME ON A VACATION. Also, they are an intermediary for another Travel Agency so they basically charge you a fee to book your vacation through third party who then books it for real. Thanks Avanti. read more

My husband and I had only been on a 4 day cruise previously. We wanted to try a longer cruise to celebrate our anniversary and we did not want to deal with trying to plan the cruise and flight travel. Avanti Travel took care of all the details, including arranging shuttles to and from airport as well as a scooter chair which was waiting for us on the ship. There was constant communication via email or phone and all questions were immediately answered in preparation for the trip. We even had a bottle of champagne delivered to our room on our anniversary. This was the easiest vacation planned and no hassles. The travel agent was professional, polite and went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful trip. Will definitely use this agency again and would highly recommend it to anyone read more

My husband and I decided to entrust one of the owners of this agency for the honeymoon we always wanted. A cruise we thought would be great! Upon going there, and doing a little researching of our own, she told us to try the Crown Princess because 'we would have a fabulous time!' We had asked about the Carnival ship, and were quickly redirected to go on the Princess. Ok we thought, this gal should know what she's getting us into right? WRONG! Once getting on board and looking around we realized that we were apparently too 'young' to be on this ship, as 90% of the cruisers were seniors. There wasn't anything for us to do on this cruise. We were stuck on board with options such as, knitting, bingo, pinochle or getting a free bunion analysis! We are in our 30's so this type of atmosphere wasn't for us. We talked to the head concierge of the ship, in which she had said that yes, this ship mainly consisted of seniors and asked why our travel agent didn't tell us that. So, I called our travel agent who proceeded to tell me that I was wrong, that she had never heard such a thing. And then went on to say that my husband and I sounded like we wouldn't have been happy on another ship anyways. Also implying that we were cheap as we chose a 4 day cruise versus a 7 day! So this place has wasted what should've been a great experience and wasted our money! We spent well over $2,000 on the entire trip . Does that sound cheap? Or like we couldn't afford to vacation? We wanted to go on Carnival with the different activities that I've heard that ship offers, but she insisted we do Princess. So what kind of kick back did she get? She also threatened to sue me for slander because I will NOT refer anyone to her business and then proceeded to hang up on me. The only reason this has a 1 star rating is because we couldn't post without it!! Happy traveling! read more
