Let me just start with how excellent the customer service was that I received at Enterprise Truck Rental. I felt like a huge bother because I called probably 10x asking numerous questions and every time, Joel, was extremely courteous and friendly and made sure to assure me I wasn't being annoying. I was nervous to rent a truck because I was towing an enclosed trailer with it and didn't want to use someone else's vehicle to pull a bunch of my things of value because I have heard some horror stories about rentals. Well, my rental couldn't have gone better. Not only did it only have 4,000 miles on it but it was spotless inside and smelled clean. I have no complaints and the price made it even better. I Would 100% return to rent from Joel again.

NEW Executive Elite Policy: We just picked up our monthly week long rental and were helped by a cordial trainee Brittany, which we had never met, but the first thing I hear from her (maybe something new at this location) is that at this location National Executive Elite members who book certain car class (our company books our travel so no clue and we have no choice over car type) will not be upgraded, even if cars are available. She then proceeded to give us a car with close to 30,000 miles, which is ok if you are renting from alamo or enterprise but have never had that high mileage on national car rentals. She then had to call the area manager, a jason i.?, to get approval to change the 30,000 mile car to another one (?) Confused, and while Brittany was very nice - A lot of wasted time on what is usually an easy pleasant in and out rental. What is happening at this great location and these new restrictive executive elite rental policies? Can't we just keep it simple and great as it had always been at this location?

The employee processed me and quickly pointed me in the direction of my vehicle. He was polite, helpful and wasn't pushy when trying to sell me extras that I didn't want. When I dropped the vehicle off at noontime on Saturday, nobody was there, but a drop-box made it much more convenient. This was my first time using Avis after having previous bad experiences with Enterprise. One advantage with Avis is they always start you off with a full tank of gas, as opposed to Enterprise which could start you off with a quarter of tank (it's very difficult to judge your fuel mileage so you return it the same way). Avis' policy of starting you off with a full tank avoids that problem. The car was very clean - it looks like they must clean it after each rental. Instead of getting a ride there, I parked my personally owned vehicle in the airport parking lot (didn't trust it for the long-distance drive I was making). Since Stewart Airport chased away all of the major airlines and hardly does any business, the long-term parking lot was nearly empty, and I was still able to park close enough to walk to Avis and only paid $10 to park for 24 hours.

I get to SWF to find out they are only open when they have a reservation from an arriving flight. UGH! There is no one there and when you call Alamo 800 #, they say, oh yes, sure they are open, have airport security page them as they must be just away from the desk momentarily. Clueless. I call the number listed on the notice pasted at the desk. They tell me to get to the Enterprise location 5 miles away, they will honor the reservation. I wait 30mins and pay $12 for a cab to Enterprise at 63 Route 17K in Newburgh, only to be told they will honor the reservation, but not the price. Two very unfriendly, very unhelpful men could not have cared less about my predicament. UGH!! I call Alamo 800# again and they are sorry but since covid has effectively closed the airport, they are not offering what they call local rentals to anyone not arriving via plane. When I tell her hotwire/priceline/kayak are still offering rentals at SWF, she says she is sorry, but cannot control what they do. I learned my lesson NEVER RENT from ALAMO or ENTERPRISE.

They had my flight number and were already aware of the later arrival. The car was nice and worked fine, but we were supposed to get the "better" car. We should have received a discount or something for this. Next was a nightmare. The parking lot to pick up the car was a long distance walk from the airport. I did not think I was going to make it. it was extremely hot outside, so standing and waiting on him to get it would not have been a help. I had already went down a steep ramp to get outside and did not want to walk back up yet to go back into the air-conditioned airport and then walk back down again. this man saw that I was disabled. He saw that I had a Rollator walker. We told him multiple times that I had to have a midsize car. He should've told us how far the parking lot was to pick up the car and recommended that I stay inside and let my husband pick me up. Honestly, they should offer to bring the car up to the customer. Extremely disappointed. Will never use AVIS again.

I called on Tuesday and was told she forgot and now the computer is acting up so she Again said she would call me back. Well by end of day Tuesday I had charges coming from my card and a Robo call saying I needed to return the car, which had already been return 2 days prior. I called customer service Tuesday evening and the rep was helpful in getting an email over to the Stewart location management. Now its Wednesday I still heard from No one but saw charges show up pending on my card, I called the location and was told by the SAME WOMAN that she asked someone to process the return and they forgot. This is the most ridiculous excuse. It took from Sunday to Wednesday to finally get it completed. I received No Apology, just excuses. I've never experienced such an unorganized business. I will definitely Never use them again and I definitely wouldn't recommend a friend. I'm gonna ensure everyone I know hears about this Horrible experience via FB, Titter, and review boards and sites. The whole situation was Horrible. Stay Away from this business.

She truly went above and beyond and took care of everything for me with kindness and professionalism. She was so accommodating and cognizant of my situation and I left the Stewart Airport Location 100% convinced that there are still good people in the world. Our friends rented from this place a few weeks ago & had such a bad experience with the camper having so many issues but we gave them a chance anyways because we have owed campers and know that sometimes things happen. The reviews were good & the RV itself looked nice from the photos... we were very naïve. We got to the rental place & no one there even knew what camper we were there to pick up I had to show them my reservation on the RVeazy app. The gentlemen then brought us over to the camper and did not initiate any inspection which is required when renting on Rveazy so I went ahead and did it myself. There was a very significant amount of physical damage to in exterior and interior of the camper but all in all it looked decent enough and we wanted to get back on the road. By the time we got to where we were going, set up & started the generator & propane we noticed quickly that the fridge and freezer were not getting cool whatsoever. We gave it over 2 hours and then I contacted Wendy to let her know that it was not working and we also realized that the camper door did not latch shut either. She told me nothing she could do until the morning when her mechanic could call us back. We therefore went from 5pm to 11am with nowhere to store our perishable goods. When her mechanic called us the next day he requested photos and videos of what was not working that we provided immediately to him & to Wendy. We kept as much as we could on ice in the coolers we brought it in but that could only do so much in 80 degree weather. So now we were out $100 worth of good, could not get the camper door to shut or stayed closed and when we thought things could not get more frustrating my daughter went to go sit at the kitchen area only to have her leg stabbed by a nail sticking out of the wood behind the kitchenette. After we saw what happened we looked at the wood to see DOZENS on nails and staples poking out and we were furious at this point. My husband went to check the generator and propane tank to just to realize that we had already gone through almost the entire propane tank in less than 20 hours which is absurd. We took it off and immediately could smell that it was leaking so we contacted the company again and they gave us the run around how the tank they gave us wasn't full because they just added it to our reservation for free which was false because there is an added $25 for propane on our rental agreement. We had to not only drive 40 in away from our camp site now to get food for us and our daughter but also to have to purchase a new propane tank. All all in this was a nightmare and the only thing that made it worse was Wendy the owner gaslighting me the entire time and basically saying we don't know how to use a camper and we should have kept our food in the cooler inside out car so it didn't go bad. Keep in mind, I made her aware of our food spoiling on Friday around 8pm, only 4 hours into our rental and she waited until Sunday when I requested money back for the propane she charged us for that was leaking, the propane we had to go out and buy and for some of our food that went to waste due to her fridge & freezer not working and her response to me was atrocious. She DEMANDED I send her photos of our food in trash bags that we had to throw out, and to send proof to her of the injury to my daughters leg. She also said "well from the photos and videos you sent on Saturday of the fridge not working and blinking there was not much food in the fridge to begin with.".... YEAH BECAUSE IT ALL WENT BAD AND WAS IN THE GARBAGE! She is a diabolic and dishonest person to say the least & I am writing this obnoxiously long review to WARN ANYONE thinking of renting from this company or from Wendy on RVeazy in Walden NY to stay away and please save yourself a huge headache and a lot of money.

It was clean and everything we needed was there. Wendy was always available if I had a question. Whenever we are back in the area, I will always rent my campers from Wendy.
