Enterprise car rental website took my reservation for the Edison route 27 location first. When I reached there they said they don't have the car or even an upgrade. So I made another reservation at this enterprise agency by calling them (Woodbridge NJ-whose review page we are all on). They confirmed the make and model of the car and time and said yes i can come in and get the car in next 20 minutes. I get here and they say they don't have it and that the call actually went to their call center and not the agency . This Woodbridge agency say they were gonna call me to say they don't have the car but because of the day being hectic couldn't call on time . By this time I had spent 40$ in cab and 1 and half hour getting from home to agency to another agency and didn't get the car. I complained to enterprise they said we are escalating it to management . I deal with rental company's regularly at my job. I also rent pretty often. When comparing prices, Enterprise may look like more money than some companies, look again Enterprise gives you unlimited miles and doesn't nickel and dime you. Also, not all Enterprises are equal depending on the manager and staff. My car broke down pretty recently and I needed a rental. I was waiting for my jobs fleet manager to create a rental reservation for me for hours. The tow truck took forever and I'm not impressed with my job, but Enterprise came through! I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating this Enterprise was. Nicole was kind enough to send a driver to pick me up before they even had a car available for me and before I was able to provide a rental reservation number. Luckily for me a vehicle was available shortly after. The car was quickly serviced and sanitized before I was ready to go. The prices are fair. The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. I'd you are in the area and need a rental, it's a no brainer. read more

I now know why this enterprise has many negative reviews. They just hang up on you when you're trying to get through, absolutely zero customer service. At the very least, pick up the phone and take a number to get back to the customer. I shouldn't have to try to call for over an hour to no avail. I even HAVE A RESERVATION! Corporate needs to get down to this branch and kick some ass, because it seems that they have some of the most unprofessional staff you can come across. Traveling from california to visit east coast family.. My bf rented a van (in it right now ) for a family day trip and he came back with a fucking filthy as shit van so I called to exchange it on the way out to start our trip. They apologized and mentioned to me that they "try to clean their cars with every rental" try? They should ALWAYS at the very least carwash it..... The windows are filthy, the carpet floor is not vacuumed, found candy bar wrapper in back seat, the panel tray are dusty and just nasty, the cheap seats are stained and not wiped, dashboard is dusty and handprints everywhere!!!!!! I used to rent from enterprise all the time in California and their standards are much higher and better! Anyway, my family decided we were pressed for time and had to move on.... My mother just sent us off with a bottle of fabreeze to ease the b.o. smell in the car. But I'm disgusted sitting in this filthy stupid van! I have rented from this Enterprise location quite a few times. Customer service is top class. The store manager Ryan was very accommodative , we needed to rent a car to go to Florida. I was running late due to Thursday GSP south traffic. He waited for me patiently till 7:05 pm when the store actually closes at 6. All Enterprise locations have great customer service in general but this one beats it all. Suggestion: Book at least a week or two in advance to get the car of your choice. read more

I rent from Enterprise at least 30 times per year since I am in Sales. The company itself offers great cars at good prices. I am less than enthused about this particular branch. 1. Knowing I was in a hurry to rent and run (they called me the night before to confirm when I explained how quickly I needed this to go) they turned me away at 7:21am saying they didn't open until 7:30am. They were already cleaning cars and staffed at the counter, so I am not sure why they turned me away to wait in the frigid cold-but they did. 2. Once inside, again knowing I was in a hurry (I mentioned again) they took me outside to show me all the available cars... Even though I had already reserved online the class and pricing I wanted. Once I clarified that, we went back in and i got a long pitch about opening a corporate account. 3. I had the car for 2 days and was called by them on SIX separate occasions to find out "how things are going" with it. Not sure what that was about but it was overwhelming and annoying. My insurance suggested I use Enterprise to rent a vehicle while my personal vehicle gets repaired. Nicole met me at the body shop with a vehicle ready for me to take . She was very professional and accommodating. Unfortunately the vehicle she brought wasn't the right match for me. I scheduled an appointment to have my cousin picked up for a rental. No one called to state that he couldn't be picked up because they were short staffed. I took him there and there was only one person working to check in, check out, and to clean the vehicles. I'm currently sitting on my car as I type this because I've been waiting on the heat for an hour. Ridiculous wait times and had someone called to advise there could be no pick up in advance, I could've found another rental company. read more

I rented from this location over Christmas this year. The staff was extremely friendly and answered all of my questions. They let me take my time in choosing the car I wanted. They will call to remind you the day before the car is due and always ask for feedback. In my opintion a company that asks for feedback cares about the quality of their work. I didn't have good experience renting a car from this place. Me and my friends were going for a trip from NJ to TN and we were pretty excited about it. Smooth drive and good quality sound, only things we wanted. I live near to this area so I have been looking cars there whenever I passed through, and I noticed Altima 2013 SL there from days. When I went there on the day of trip to get the car, luckily the same Altima was still there and I was delighted. They showed me couple of full size cars (which I reserved) but I picked the same Altima 2013 on which I had my eyes on for days. But mistakenly, I have told him truth that I am going to TN and he suddenly made excuse that this is customer's car because he got scared of high miles, i guess. I was like you just told me I can take this, he stared making more excuses and told me that he can't give me. And I finally ended up renting another base model 2012 car which didn't have good quality sound and made weird noise from tires. My trip wasn't that bad because we friends were enjoying each other company but my excitement for smooth drive with good music was thrashed. And funny thing when I returned the car after 5 days, the same Altima SL was still there. I was totally pissed off. They simply didn't want me to give the car because of high miles. And when I told them that my trip was just ok not so great what I expected than they started making more excuses which was disgusting. I was totally disappointed from their service so didn't argue much and left. I am never going to rent a car from there and if I have to than would never tell them truth. read more

The car was great, the staff was great - the only problem is they billed the wrong credit card & have yet to issue the credit they said they issued - this is screwing up my finances & All I get is that it will take a few days but if they had charged the card I asked them to from the beginning - I would not have to deal with this now. The car was great, and the staff at Enterprise in Metuchen are great too. I would rent again based on those factors. But the company computers were down both when we rented and one week later when we brought the car back. This was really hard on the staff. Enterprise management needs to help them out and not leave them facing a line of customers trying to check in or check out. In addition, I will be sure to decline their car insurance next time. I got into an accident the Saturday before Christmas and stopped by this location to pick up a vehicle the next day. They were understanding and easy to work with, and helped me get a vehicle during the busiest time of the year. The first car had some indicator lights come on, so I swung by after work to exchange for another car just after closing and with no issues. Because of them I lost no time and was able to travel around for work and the holidays. I feel the need to defend against the negative comments. Jaime R. - why did they have more than one of your credit card numbers to begin with? Cards keep getting declined when swiped? Sounds like your financial issues started before you went to Enterprise. n b. - what exactly was your issue? I stood in their center and watched people try to get cars with improper identification, improper forms of payment, licenses that didn't match credit cards, and a group of three fools (1 with a driver's license but no form of payment, 1 with no ID and no credit card, and 1 with a credit card but no ID). If you are a responsible adult, you get to have a rental car and you will likely get good service. If you are an idiot, you should probably figure out your sh*t before you get Enterprise to pick your @ss up, have them drop you off at a Enterprise office, only to find out you don't have a means to get a rental car. read more

They did not tell me what are the feature of the car. I booked the car at 1 pm Saturday and car was not having even Cruse control. When i realized it, they were close for day. where i drove car without cruse control for more than 15 hrs which is pain. We have to be very very careful while booking car. When i called customer care at this center she mentioned they don't have any responsibility to tell feature of the car. Its all customer responsibility to ask for it. They will give car whatever they have and whatever they feel. So all driven by them and we are not there customer , Its like they are giving Car for free. Not acceptable. read more

I had been a "serial renter" with this branch for years. Service was always acceptable but I had a final instance that prove to me the management at this time was untrustworthy. I was renting every weekend since my girlfriend lived in upstate N.Y. and didn't want to wear out my car. I was doing 600 plus miles per rental and the manager at that time was not happy with me. I tried to rent a mid size and he said a jeep SUV was the last car....I did take the insurance and returned the car Friday night. I parked the car under the security camera and did a walk around. My son picked me up and saw the vehicle was in perfect shape. I drove by Saturday morning (live in the same area)and the rental car was gone. Sunday morning the manager called me and told me the car was hit and not to worry since I had insurance. I asked why it took 33 hours to call me and he said he was busy. No logical person would believe that. The car was obviously damaged by someone other than myself. I went there and asked to see the security footage , he said don't worry" its all good." Surprisingly... the almost every other day email I got from enterprise suddenly stopped..no more deals or free days. This till pisses me off till this day...I should have gone to corporate and got the footage. The point I am trying to make with this long post....never drop off a car after hours...you are opening up yourself for the dishonesty this branch is capable of. read more
