There were extra fees due to needing an additional driver/mileage but they were transparent with us about all costs as well as the hold on the credit card. I called at 1:45P and we had all of the paper signed and car by 2:30P The rental drove nicely while we had it and drop off was easy. I called Autorent in a panic last minute for a vehicle that would seat 6 and have room for our luggage for two weeks. We were looking for an SUV when Rebecka at Autorent suggested a mini van as they are often overlooked. I guess you dont get style points in a mini van but at that point I didn't care. They had a Chrysler van with way more room than I was expecting and the price was way cheaper than what I was going to pay at the other rental place. The entire staff was very helpful when we arrived, the process took a total of 10 minutes and we were on the road. So glad we discovered Autorent and will be using them exclusively in the future.

Prior to signing, he told me the cost will be $7/day plus $21.99 for basic insurance coverage. At no point prior to my signing the agreement did he tell me that the $7 a day was contingent on my insurance coverage. Apparently the full price of the car was a whopping $36/day + 21.99 insurance. This is an outrageous price for a car rental. But I was never informed that it would actually cost $30 more than I agreed to. Had I been told this, I would have chosen a less expensive car. I had the car for 18 days. I expected to pay $521.82, but without warning was charged $1288.67. For some reason, in addition to being charged more than agreed, I was also charged for 20 days instead of 18. When I called to question this, associate Eric agreed that he made a mistake and would contact his area manager to correct the problem. He said he would call me back that same day. He never did. I called him 2-3 times a week looking for an update. Each time he had said he spoke to his manager and was working on it, and would call back. But never did. Finally after 3 weeks of my frequent calling he said a refund would be processed. I asked if I could speak to the manager myself, but was not permitted to. But again I was told I would be called back, and again, wasn't. Now, a week later, Eric says he is surprised that the refund hasn't been processed yet. I asked how much the refund would be for, and he didn't know. He kept me on hold for 10 minutes - supposedly speaking with the manager. And again has asked me if he can call me back. I was charged $766 more than I should have been, have not had a resolution for a month, and have never been given an update. In my opionion, this is absolutely unacceptable and I think everyone should avoid this company.

We broke down at a rest stop... we got a taxi...we got a car from avis..1 way..I contacted the drop off place explained my situation and ask several times what can I do, not once did the agent advice me that if the car was not back by 4:30 I would be charged for every hour. Mr agent man advised me that there is no drop box place closes at 6...that if car is not at drop off by closing I would be charged 90.$$$ or could rent vehicle for a day at 44/something so did go over options again provided by avis...advised mr.agent that I would be there before it closed I would figure a way After getting someone to pick up my child leave work early and get the car back by 5:15. I was told that I was going to be charge for an additional hour at 71.41 plus tax= 187.84...REALLY. do I look like a total nimrod? I would have rented the car for another day and would have been less aggregate. So mr agent tells me to ms barb who left at 5 and ms? Can't help but to call back. Thompson replaced it within a week. Reported that we were replacing oil too quickly. Thompson did a couple of oil consumption tests, partnering with Audi. Thompson had Audi replace rings and pistons. No charge. No fighting. Andi from the BMW service team was wonderful. My daughter loves the car. We love that Thompson said what they said they were going to do. Funny how while their sales representative was "doing everything he could" to get me the "best price possible" with my credit union, I was on the phone with them myself. Go figure, we both had credit approval for the exact same car, with the exact same trade in value... But they showed 9.8% interest vs my 4.2%. They also showed a sale price of $24,890 for a base model Corolla WITH the $6,000 trade in vs my $12,870 with the same trade in (car was only listed at $18,870 MSRP, so how the heck does it come up to $30,890 with a $6,000 trade in???? Keep in mind, the loans were BOTH APPROVED THROUGH THE SAME CREDIT UNION. Obviously trying to sneak in additional $ on the price of the car. SHADY! Needless to say, I accepted the terms that I HAD gotten from the credit Union, and declined their offer". Next, I went into the service department after 5,000 miles had been accrued to get my oil changed. They did it and told me that I am ineligible for the 10,000 mile service since they only change the oil every 15,000 miles. What!? They NEVER EXPLAINED THAT AT THE ONSET AND STOLE A GUARANTEED SERVICE FROM TOYOTA CARE FROM ME. DON'T TRUST THESE SCUMBAGS WITH YOUR CAR OR MONEY
