The worst experience I've ever encountered at a dealership. Settled for a truck and I was working on the finance for a 2013 cascadia. Left a deposit and Called the sales rep we were working with to update and the sales rep confirm everything was in order. Show up the next morning and the same sales rep tells me they sold the truck yesterday !!!God I was fuming! Asked to speak to the manager and he refused to speak to me. I asked to see the bill is sale and was refused. I grabbed my deposit and left.

The employee assisting me asked another parts employee, Jose Romero, for help. Jose located the correct part on the computer, but the dealership did not have it in stock. I politely asked for the part number only because I needed to find it somewhere else as soon as possible. This is an important part for my semi-truck, and I needed to get the truck ready to work tonight. Jose appeared reluctant to give me the part number. After eventually providing it, he said to me in front of other customers, "Why are you always coming here looking for part numbers and you never buy anything?" I felt embarrassed and disrespected by his comment. I have been a loyal Rush Truck Center customer for more than three years and have spent thousands of dollars purchasing parts for my trucks. I was not asking for a part number to waste anyone's time. Rush did not have the part available, and I urgently needed it to get my truck back to work. Speaking to a longtime customer that way, especially in front of other customers, was unnecessary and unprofessional. I hope management addresses this situation and provides better customer-service training so other customers are not made to feel unwelcome when asking for legitimate assistance.

The offers I was given were nowhere near competitive, and instead of working with me, the sales staff came across as very pushy. It wasn't until I told them I was taking my business elsewhere that their attitude completely changed. As I was leaving the dealership, the general manager was informed that I was walking away. He actually ran out to my vehicle and suddenly offered me the exact type of deal they had refused to consider while I was sitting at the negotiating table. That left me wondering why I had to threaten to leave before they were willing to earn my business. If those offers were available all along, why not present them honestly from the beginning? It made the entire experience feel more like a sales tactic than a genuine attempt to help a customer. I believe dealerships should be transparent and treat customers fairly from the start, not only after they've decided to leave. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I chose to take my business elsewhere.

ONE STAR -- I WOULD NEVER TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN…read more My experience with Vehicle Center at 8424 Garvey Ave. in Rosemead was absolutely unbelievable. I went there on Saturday to look at a minivan. I already knew the vehicle had transmission problems, and I was still willing to buy it. We discussed the vehicle, made a deal, and they specifically told me to come back Tuesday at 1:00 PM to complete the paperwork. I did exactly what we agreed to. I showed up Tuesday at 1:00 PM sharp, and I had even arranged and scheduled a tow truck to pick up the minivan because I knew about the transmission problem and wasn't expecting to drive it home. They took my driver's license and were supposedly getting the paperwork ready. While I was outside looking at the vehicle, Joy came outside and told me, essentially, "You're not going to like this, but I have a higher offer and I'm not going to sell it to you." Are you kidding me? After making a deal, scheduling a specific time for me to return, having me travel back to the dealership, arranging a tow truck at my expense and inconvenience, and even taking my driver's license to prepare the paperwork, they suddenly decided their word meant nothing because somebody apparently offered them more money. That tells me everything I need to know about how this dealership does business. If you make an agreement with a customer and schedule them to come back and finalize the transaction, you should honor your word. You don't wait until the customer physically shows up with a tow truck and then announce that you're backing out because somebody offered you more money. For a dealership that advertises itself as family-owned and promotes an "honest, no-hassle" experience, my experience was the complete opposite. And keep in mind: I wasn't even complaining about the mechanical condition of the minivan. I knew it had transmission issues and was willing to buy it anyway. My complaint is about the way the DEAL was handled and the complete lack of respect for my time and the agreement we had already made. If this is how a customer is treated before money changes hands, I personally wouldn't trust them with a transaction after the money changes hands. BUYER BEWARE. Get absolutely EVERYTHING in writing before making arrangements, spending money on towing, taking time off, or relying on anything you're told here. A verbal agreement and an appointment apparently meant absolutely nothing in my experience. I would never do business with Vehicle Center again, and I would never recommend them to anyone
