There are nearly not enough desks for people to be able to get schoolwork done. This is unacceptable on every level. In fact if I wasn't able to find a table to work around be furious- I got through two college degrees utilizing my public libraries in Los Angeles. I understand education doesn't mean didly-squat to most people who live in this town however it does for those coming from educated backgrounds. There should be rows of desks with partitions: I have counted five tables each with people at them. This needs to be changed immediately to accommodate the people who would like to use a public library for its purpose; READ, STUDY, EXPAND their knowledge In a comfortable and peaceful environment. 3-D print stations which are utilizing desks are worthless when not being used. read more

If you go on a monday or tuesday from 6-8 it's very quiet and enjoyable. My grandsons love to play in the kids section. They have puzzles and a playkichen, and they can even use the computer's. read more

Small quaint library located near the smiths on Las Vegas blvd. Has a decent amount of computers I typically see others working on. The selection is a bit smaller due to the size of the library. I love their online website that allows me to look up book titles and what location they are in. This saves me the time from driving down and not finding what I am looking for. There is parking in front and back of the library. Service always is good and they have a security guard who monitors the isles. read more

My husband and I attended a 3d printing class so that we are certified to print at any las vegas library. We 3d printed a mini pikachu in class. It was my first time 3d printing & I've done several projects on my own since then. Very exciting! The library bookstore is in front of the reference desk. After just a few emails and helpful connections, I was able to secure a conference room at the Enterprise location that perfectly met my needs. When all of the dust finally settles...From what I have seen today.... The remodel looks amazing so far. I love this library...always have and always will. I hadn't swung by in a long minute.... Because the last time I did... they must have just started the remodel...and it was open...but only 1/small area. So....I gave it some time. I browsed thru the lil bookstore room...bought a few magazines...and got my copy of the Vegas Weekly. Just basically looking around at all of the new changes. More of an open floor plan now. They have a makeshift "help desk" area where the holds used to be located. Enough for now...will update once the remodel is totally complete so I can take some pix etc. read more

I remember going to the library with my mom when I was little. I enjoyed story time and doing arts and crafts. I now want to pass on those fun memories to my children. This library has a lot to offer. On Mondays, Three Square Food Bank does its weekly produce hand out to those in need. There are a ton of activities and resources they offer for children of all ages. We come here weekly for toddler story time. They also offer programs for adults. Check out all their information online. All the employees here are super friendly and informative. The library itself is nice and clean and the books are in good condition. They have a small play area for kids which includes kitchen, a large wooden dollhouse, blocks and magnets. My son enjoys coming here and playing with the other children. I love that you are able to check out 50 items at a time and have a big time frame for returning them (3 weeks). I'm definitely a fan of this library and you can catch me here on a weekly basis. read more

Well I am not much of a library customer so i am not sure how other libraries are. So just wanted to put that out first. So I went into the enterprise library, located on south Las Vegas blvd. To charge my phone due to my battery being low and I forgot my charge cord for my car. First thing that really shocked me was a security guard patrolling inside the library. I was not sure why a library would need a security guard. I definitely found out though. So I went back to the work station and all I seen was about 12 or 13 homeless people sitting around the tables and desks. About ready to fall asleep or sleeping. Then in a few minutes the security guard came around and woke everyone up, for the to fall back asleep after he left. So as I was sitting in a chair looking at a travel book, the security guard and a library employee came and trespassed someone whom almost started a fight with the security guard and employee. All this within 20 or 30 min of me getting there. This all being said the library has a decent amount of books not like I remember when I was a kid but still a good amount. Has about 8 computer stations you can use for a hr at a time. Also has some study rooms and a kids area. Has a small but decent magazine rack and some audio tapes. Although the book sections were not very well organized and the books put anyplace. The library was neat and clean. Like I said I am not to big of a library patron so I am not sure how to compare this with other libraries, I was just giving my first impression to help you know abt this location. I won't say not to go there maybe this is normal or par for the course for public libraries. So best thing I can say is to just expect this, and enjoy the library if you decide to go. We have been living this little, local Enterprise Library for over 10 years now. The Librarians are the best and we just adore them. Especially Ms Gwen (one of our favorite humans in the planet) and Ms Kim (who is so sweet and it feels like we have known and loved her forever). We love the events here even though there is no formal theater, like at some of the larger libraries. We always donate our used books here when we need new room on the book shelves because we know they go to the kids who complete the reading challenges and my child LOVES getting new/used books for all of the completed reading challenges. We always feel good about giving away things that someone will find on the cart and say...."omg, I can believe THIS book is here!!!!!" It's our way of paying it forward because we've picked up some of our favorite books off this carts after the challenges. Simply put...we love the entire Clark County Library system. And we especially love Enterprise Library. We will be SO bummed when Ms Gwen and Ms Kim retire or move to another library, if they ever do. Not sure if those things are happening any time in the near future but my child and I are hoping that they will be an adult before it does. This is a fantastic library, so nice and quiet tucked away on the far end of Las Vegas Blvd . It has a great resource center with computers for adults, children, the faxing and copy center someone might still need in this electronic day and age. The staff are so sweet and friendly to aid anyone whom needs help in navigating the library. The library allows patrons to put items on hold and pick them up at your convenience, with self serve check out of items that the patron feels part of the whole library experience. The library has a beautiful art that they place inside for patrons to view, meeting rooms, and even a dj studio. What else could one need. There is always a police person on site for evil people who would want to spoil that quiet day. Nestled in a great surrounding with Vegas wildlife and cactus a great little walk around the property is in order too. read more

So disappointed in this library since the renovation. They took out majority of the tables and chairs. Student come to the library after school. Since the renovation and now school is back in there's a total of 6 tables in the children's area. Today my family and 2 other families had to sit on the other side where the adults and some homeless to eat and read. Even in the adult area there's only 4 tables and 8 study cubbies SMH they made this place unwelcoming to children after school. read more

This library has some decent books & magazines, but the amount of noise they allow is ridiculous...Most security guards at libraries tell loud people to quiet down; Even with noise cancelling headphones, I could hear people making a ridiculous amount of noise. The front desk workers are extremely helpful when you need to find specific books & will sometimes even walk around the library with you until you do. If this library trained the security guards to better handle noisy people, it would help a lot. read more

Remodeling job is a complete disgrace and waste of tax payers dollars. Just what everyone needed, less learning material and more tables and chairs. It has become a community center instead of a library. Terrible changes!!!! read more

Great facility, but the kids' section is noisy like a daycare and the kids' at the computers conversation is inappropriate and vulgar. It's difficult to even find a book without hearing their conversation. My kids and I sat on the opposite side of the section to read together but kept getting distracted by the outbursts from the noisy group. You can reserve Study Rooms for quiet, but my kids were looking for books, as well as reading, so being amongst the shelves of books was ideal for our visit. Isn't the purpose of the computers for research not social media? These kids compromised all of the computers. I guess I should try going at a different time of day? read more

My kids are 6 and 8 and love the library. They usually have computer availability for when we need it, they have a lot of programs for the kids to do, homework help, and the staff is helpful as well. They library is clean and they have a great kids area for the kids to play and do puzzles. I have a true undying love for The Enterprise Library. Ive been coming here since I was 17 years old. Alot of my success stories begin with my time spent here, thats 10 years now and counting. I grew up here. The staff here has always been one of my favorites amongst the Clark County Libraries. Ive studied for Asvab testing here, HS exit exams, Ive prepared a number of resumes here and so much more I could blabber on about. Conveniently located next to the Smiths shopping complex on Las Vegas Boulevard. I say go buy snacks, grab your laptops and go get lost in their massive selection. read more

I love this library, it's so close to home, and it's always kept clean. It amazes me how far the library has come from back in the days when I was younger. Everything is so hi-tech now! You check your own stuff out, you check your own stuff in. The people who work there are quite helpful if you're unsure how it works. I like their Youth section a lot. They have little toys next to the books, for the younguns and they can play, while you search for books for them. The only thing I kinda feel ehhhh about is that they allow kids to play games on the Youth computers. It defeats the purpose of the library. Anyway, we frequent this one often. read more

I absolutely love this library! I have been coming here for at least 10 years. They have a great selection of DVDs, CDs, books, and magazines to rent. You can use the computers to request items to rent and they will hold it for you till you are ready to pick it up! They also have a computer room. I have used this for updating resumes, applying to jobs, working on papers for school, etc. This is so perfect for anyone that does not have access to a printer and computer. Enterprise Library has study rooms to use and a small book store. The bathrooms are always neat and tidy! MAJOR PLUS! The staff members are very friendly and helpful! They even have a security guard on site! This library also has a children's area and frequent special events (workshops, book readings, and many others)! I haven't attended an event yet, but once I do I will update my review. read more

I LOVE this library and the staff is AWESOME!! I've been coming here for years!!! When my children were little we'd come to story time and craft days. All the ladies and gentlemen leading the program and work in the children's area have been wonderful! They are so knowledgeable, professional, patient, friendly, compassionate and so good at what they do!!! The staff at the Help and reference desk are incredible too. If you need help finding books, movies or extending a checkout they're always on point. I have never had anyone here mistreat myself or my family in person or on the phone (I call occasionally) and that says a-lot about who they have working here! Keep it up Enterprise, you're the best! Next time I'm there I'll make it a point to get names of their superstar staff so they get the recognition they deserve! Until then, please keep it up! Oh, I took off a star because I feel like they could use a little freshening up with some paint or some upgrades to the space. All the other libraries in the Valley are so fancy now this one could use some love too!! read more

I support my local library! And will continue to do so until it's completely obsolete. Their hours are mostly convenient and so is the location. I get quite a few new releases relatively quickly from here. Since I use the self checkout, I have little experience with staff helping me here, but do notice security is present all the time. That is standard for public places such as this! The library and restroom are clean and so is the parking lot. read more

When I moved to Vegas 8 years ago I lived in a snazzy high-rise on The Strip. I was in heaven. One of my first concerns in a new city was visiting my library. I believe the name of it was Meadows & it was one block behind the Stratosphere in "Naked City". Had to try to find parking on the street in front of the county-run daycare, and then walk through the day care kid-filled room to get to the trailer out back which was my new library! A trailer behind a building in one of the worst neighborhoods in town. With almost no parking. That was my library. But this review is about the state of the art, open many hours, lots of parking, "huge" (remember where this reviewer is coming from) sparkly, clean Enterprise Library. I mostly reserve DVDs (especially TV series) at home on my computer & get put on the hold list until they arrive. I'll get an email telling me I have a week to pick these up off the hold shelf. I then check them out myself & ALWAYS (haha) remember to unlock the DVD box. And of course when I return these DVDs I NEVER (haha again) forget to remove the disk from my player so as not to return an empty case. (Oh, don't worry Enterprise Library, I won't dock you stars because I get home with unlocked DVDs & return them with no disk so I have to make a second trip. Nope, i wouldn't do that!) I have 2 pet peeves about this library: It's bad enough when customers speak loudly in a library but when the staff speaks at a normal-to-loud volume that's unacceptable. And they do speak loudly here! Keep it down! Also, there are 2 parking lots which serve the 2 entries. The best spots-closer & shady-are on the East side of the library. All of the closest spots in this lot are always taken by the employees & are unavailable all day for visitors. Shame on you, employees & management for allowing this! I was doing some cleaning at home and found my library card that I had not used in over five years. Back when I was unemployed and had a lot of free time, I would come here to check out DVDs, CD's, and books. Well, since finding my library card, I decided to come back to renew my card and check out a few DVDs for shows like Boardwalk Empire and Homeland. I hate spending money on DVDs that I can't get from Redbox and will only watch once so I am so glad the library offers this. I also like browsing through their CD's, and I will usually look through their jazz collection, or for music that I wouldn't normally spend money on, but do enjoy listening to once in a while. I've noticed some of the same staff members have been here for years, and they're always so nice and helpful. I believe the library offers free wifi so definitely a good alternative to coffee shops. Checking out items and returning are all self-serve so there's no need to wait in the customer service line unless you have dues to pay or buying used books from their little bookshop. One thing that I like to do to save time is to go online to their website and look for things that might interest me, and I request to have it put on hold. When it's ready for pick-up, an email will be sent to notify me of the status. read more

As I take the Yelp 100 Challenge, I am challenging myself to read one book a week. This is a reasonable challenge. I am a book lover. In 1985, when I read Ray Coleman's "Lennon", it planted the seed of a lifelong reading habit. To this day, I am usually in the company of a book. My genre is the biography-preferably musicians, actors, and winners. Books are nutricion for the mind and food for the soul. Books are knowledge. Knowledge is power! A good book is entertaining and enlightening. A good book lifts my mind to an elevated place where I feel like the Baron of Cloud 9. Las Vegas is a suitable metropolitan area for book lovers. There are more Las Vegas Library District branches scattered throughout the area than there are Station Casinos. The southernmost branch is Enterprise Library. It is a branch that is convenient to my Henderson apartment. Enterprise Library is small. It ain't a New York Public Library, Seattle Public Library, or Sahara West Library. When you walk in, there is a hall to the right. That hall connects to a conference room. There are some interesting Las Vegas pictures. The majority of the action is straight. There are two stations for information. The books are toward the back of the room. To the left are couches, reference books, and magazines. When I started visiting the Enterprise Libary, this was a large biography section. Walking further into the library, the computer room is on the right. This is where I have gone when I do my online taxes. The computer room of today is controlled by your library card. To the far left are cubicles and study rooms. Just past the computer room is the CD racks. I have downloaded many of the all time best classic rock albums from here. At the border of the general bookshelves are DVDs (I believe music is still by the music books), large print books, and new releases. There are about ten aisles of bookshelves before the room dead ends at a few large tables overlooking the rancher style homes of Enterprise. Enterprise Library might be small in size. However it is large in substance. I view libraries as buildings to check out books that bring your mind on an adventure. When I checkout a book at Enterprise Library, my mind feels like a jet taking off from McCarran toward Cloud 9.. The books that I have checked out from Enterprise Library have taken my mind on incredible adventures. Adventures that include Elvis jamming with the Beatles in the Hollywood Hills, the Stones recording Exile On Main Street in Necote, self help advice from Mayor Giuliani, and Howard Hughs in the late 1960s controlling his Las Vegas empire from his Desert Inn hotel room. When I first moved to Las Vegas in 2004, one of the first things I obtained was a library card at this location. Near my house, it's been somewhat of a refuge for me when I need to study and was too lazy to drive twenty miles to UNLV. It's not modern and grand like the Lied Library or as polished and fresh as the Windmill Library, but Enterprise offers a lot resources in a small space. For example: Study rooms (you must reserve to use it), plenty of open tables, a wide selection movies and music to rent, a (compact) computer lab, and a children's and young adult's section. Additionally, there's a small art gallery, a room devoted for books on sale (cheap!), and a community auditorium. Self-checkout and return is so simple and fast, I saw children use it like pros. The Clark County Library sends a courteous e-mail when your library materials are almost due. The staff is helpful and kind; when I had difficulty finding a book they directed me to the correct location. In a town redundant with Spanish tile houses, flashy buildings and obnoxious billboards, the old-school brick exterior is refreshingly pleasing to the eye. However, there are a few complaints: the book selection is limited, the fluorescent white lights and cacophony of patrons yapping can be encumbering when studying. So if you plan to cram for an exam, reserve a study room and bring headphones. Those faults are minor and don't deter me from visiting. One of the few libraries in the south side of town, it's presence is vital and I'm grateful for it. read more

Very angry at this point. Took my college student dropped her off and she just needed to print a report for school. She usually got a quick temp pass to print if needed. Today we were told by the man there... If your not under 18 or out of state you CANT use the library to print. GO HOME and get your ID and come back. Really???? Isn't the library a county service? So what they're saying is if you don't have an ID or don't want to fill out their application, you can sit and look at books and newspapers, but nothing else. Cant wait until the next meeting for funding! Im surprised they can do that and I will make calls on Monday to find out why thus is the rule. You cant tell me hundreds of people come in daily for passes, do they????? read more

Certainly not the nicest or largest library in town, but it just happens to be the closest to my house. I needed to do some studying this week. Realizing that there were too many distractions at home, I headed for Enterprise. I like the fact that they had ample study rooms available for me to get in some alone time. That might be a different story when schools are in, but noteworthy nonetheless. As I was researching a good library to go to, I discovered that they all seem to have the same hours. So that's not a deciding factor at all. And when it comes to borrowing, you can order anything within the system and have it moved and ready for pickup at your local library, so that's not a deciding factor either. They also all have the new automated checkout and return system. Great convenience. In photography, the best camera is the one you have with you. Similarly, the best library is the one you actually go to. If Enterprise is near you, I see no reason why it wouldn't be your go-to location. read more

First off, I love the Las Vegas library system and it's one of the advantages of living in this city. I recently visited this location and I have to say it's the smallest library with the narrowest selection of all the libraries in town. I hope they expand it. However, it was a big day for my toddler who got her first library card and stayed for story time which she adored. It was endearing to watch her pick out the books she wanted to check out and the librarian and my teen explaining how the library works. She loves books and thanks to "Your baby can read" she can read already so that's a bonus. Seems like this end of town gets less effort than other parts, I hope that changes. read more

This is the closest Vegas library to me and I love it! It's not big, but it has everything I need and more! RSVP to get a computer online before you get there as they only have 7 of them (not counting the kids ones). They have study rooms you can reserve or ask for one at their help desk. They also have cubicles in the back. There's a lot of activities and events for everyone; my sister takes the girl she babysits (age 5) to events like storytime, crafts for holidays and parties. If you ever need a book, it doesn't hurt to check their paperbacks; there's not many but it's how I managed to get my hands on Mira Grant's Feed Trilogy without waiting on hold for it! The staff is helpful and quick about getting issues fixed and helping you find what you're looking for. read more
