Spacious and very nice library with many additional private rooms for events or workshop classes to be held. They even had a room beautifully decorated to honor Día de los Muertos.

Our favorite library. We try to make the events as often as we can. We love the librarians here. They are very helpful and put on entertaining classes for the little ones.

This is a large and wonderful library. The gallery is always full of stunning artwork. So far, this library has the biggest library bookstore that I have seen.

We pass by the Sahara West Library often and always wanted to visit this place. We are so glad that we stopped in. I agree with other people they say that it's a "hidden gem." This Library is very spacious two stories, clean, lots of seating areas, study rooms, event space to hold meetings, etc., a used bookstore, an Fine Arts Museum with special art collections featuring different artists, various art work placed in glass cabinets in the lobby area at the entrance, kind and helpful staff, it's peaceful and not to mention a wide variety of books, DVD's, CD's, a great children's section and so much more! To be honest I thought it was only the first floor and I was thinking this is it?!Then I asked the Security Guard on duty what's upstairs and he told us there's more books, seating areas, the children's section, etc. When we got there we were surprised to see another level of Library goodness. We loved our first check in here and for sure we will be back.

This library has it all. Free WiFi, 3d printing, movie/video game rentals, art gallery, and so many books. The check out area is a really nice, easy experience. I haven't been to a public library in many years, but this one thoroughly impressed me and I can't wait to go back.

I love this library! It's so beautiful. The newest art exhibit is the Showgirl Gallery! Since I am a former showgirl at Les Folies Bergere, I felt so happy to see some of the original costumes on display! I actually had a few tears, it was so nostalgic for me. All the stunning art work from local artists is magnificent! If you're interested in the history of the legacy of the showgirl, this is an exhibition to go see! Until Dec 10th! I also returned 4 books! Located West Sahara at Grand Canyon Way. Highly recommend

What a fantastic Library! I was recently visiting my mom in Las Vegas and we were looking for something to do that was inexpensive and easy to get too. I found the Las Vegas Museum at this Library. It's three galleries each one devoted to a different artist there were some great artwork in the galleries. Outside in the lobby area there was exhibit on space and there were some interactive machines that were fun. They didn't really seem to be working that well but they were very interesting. There was also a display of things made out of Legos, they have a theater where they put on shows and they also have a very nice bookstore where they sell used books and media. My husband spent quite a bit of time there and we bought several items. The actual Library we never went into.. well we wouldn't have been able to check out any books anyways. I know if we lived in Las Vegas my husband would be spending lots of time at this place he loves libraries. Great job that they did with this one. The only reason for the four stars is because I don't know what their actual Library collection was but this is a great place to go.

I've now visited several libraries in the Vegas area, and this one is my favorite for wide open spaces to work/write/draw. There seems to be an issue with getting cell signal, not just inside the library, but even once I left my GPS would not return until closer to downtown Vegas. However, that only forced me to enjoy the library more. There's 3 Art studios inside, with some really great pieces I enjoyed. I love the new campaign "Free to be" throughout all the local libraries. This location has large meeting rooms where I truly enjoyed a theater class. Take the time to check out this place. It was worth the 20 minute drive for me.

I still come here weekly as I feel it is one of the best libraries in the area. I really enjoy the children's section and the librarians within that department. I also frequent the gallery and love seeing what new exhibits they have. Love how huge the gallery is! I am a huge fan of the library, specifically Sahara West!

Whenever I've had a question at the front desk or needed help checking something out, I've never had to wait long. One of the best things about this location is the self-checkout system. It's super easy to use ... you don't even have to scan each book, DVD, or video game individually. Just place everything on the scanner and it checks everything out at once. They also have a great selection of PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch games, which is something a lot of people probably don't realize libraries offer. The DVD selection is solid too. It gives me a little nostalgia of walking through Blockbuster back in the day. Instead of paying for streaming services all the time, I'd definitely recommend supporting your local library. I usually reserve my books, movies, or games online, and they notify me when they're ready. I just stop by, pick them up, and check out. The whole process is really smooth. One time they even called me quickly to let me know I accidentally returned my own video game with the library items, which I really appreciated. Renewing items online is also super easy. As long as nobody else has requested the item, they usually let you renew it without any issues. I personally don't stay long enough to study or hang around, so I can't really speak on the noise level like some reviews mention and rude employee interactions. For what I use it for ... quick pickups and returns, it has been perfect. The parking lot is spacious, and they even have 3D printers available for public use, which is pretty cool. You can also renew passports here, so the library really offers a lot more services than people realize. I've been to multiple libraries in the valley, including the Sahara location, and this library has consistently been one of the easiest and nicest ones I've been to.

My company sponsors it, so I brought thank you gifts for donors. The Red Cross staff is kind and gracious. I didn't take any photos inside the blood drive for privacy reasons, but it was full of exceptional members of our community set on saving lives. Whenever I visit Centennial Hills Library I always check out the book store, and it never disappoints. I usually get children's books to donate to the Obodo library. This time the books were for me though. I have that Kamala Harris book "The Truths We Hold" in my Amazon cart right now. That's so fun. It would have cost me a lot more than the $1 I paid here. Plus, proceeds go back to the library, so win! As I walked around snapping pictures, the staff wanted me to tell you some things. The gentleman monitoring the resource room invites everyone to come in. He's ready with computers, homework help, and more. The ladies at the desk by the hydroponics said this is actually an adult ed class and you will create hydroponics to take home. They said to come out and take part. The cashier at the entrance to the media section offered that there are so many great titles to choose from in the book store. I couldn't agree more. She added that it's a good idea to stop by first when you're think of shopping for books. In all it was a lovely visit and a beautiful day at the blood drive.

Yelp! review #50 of 2025…read more We come to Centennial Hills Library about once a month for a wonderful writing workshop that the library graciously hosts (huge thank-you to the staff for making that happen every time!). Plenty of free parking, the building is always spotless, feeling very safe and secure - there's even a security guard keeping an eye on the common areas. Public restrooms are surprisingly clean and well-stocked. There's a little vending machine nook perfect for grabbing a quick drink or snack between chapters. The workshop room is comfortable and quiet, and we love checking the events calendar ahead of time because there's almost always something else cool going on (story time, author talks, craft events) that we can pair with our workshop day. This branch is a hidden gem in the northwest - welcoming, well-maintained, and community-focused. We always look forward to our monthly visit and can't recommend it enough!

My 4- and 8-year-old still talk about him, and going to the library just isn't the same without seeing him there. My daughter practically grew up attending his Storytime. When she first started going, she was extremely shy and would cry if anyone approached her. Mr. Patrick noticed that right away and met her exactly where she was. Instead of overwhelming her, he would gently wave from a distance, give her space, and slowly build trust. Because of him, she became more comfortable and confident in that environment--and that means everything to me as a parent. With my son, he was just as incredible. He took the time to recommend books he knew he'd enjoy and would even walk with us to show him the "cool" chapter books. He didn't just do his job--he genuinely cared. He once said, "Kids can tell if adults are nice or not--they are wise," and he truly lived by that. It's such a shame to see someone like Mr. Patrick leave. People like him make a lasting impact on children and families, and those connections matter more than words can express. That said, we are very grateful for Ms. Jessica and Ms. Melissa. They continue to show kindness and dedication to the kids, and it's clear they are loved by the families who come back week after week. Librarians play such an important role--many of our children grow up with them, and they help shape their love for reading and learning.
