Since I was staying at the connected Renaissance Hotel, I spotted Enrique Tomas early on in my visit. It's located upstairs in the food court area, however, this food court is definitely an elevated food court, and this restaurant has a dedicated seating area and bar!
When I saw the woman in the window carving entire Iberico Ham legs, I knew I had to wait for my husband to arrive to eat here.
We had a small tapas lunch here, consisting of tomato bread, three different jamons, croquettas, olives, cheese, and some salami. Sadly, not drinking, so we didn't get to wash it down with any rioja :(
Service was quite good and very attentive. They were enthusiastic about their jamon options, and even have packages of it to go. Despite me warning my husband that it would be confiscated by Customs upon re-entering the USA, he didn't listen, and got hauled in the secondary screening room upon landing lol. Sorry, pork products are no-go for entering the USA :( read more
