I swear I'm Italian. Apart from the obvious truth that I am, without a doubt, NOT Italian, everything else in my life points to the fact that I am. Excessively dramatic and emotional, I get passionately angry about the smallest thing, and incredibly upset (insert wailing and tears here) about a mere trifle. I fall in love quickly, I like to throw things when I'm angry, and I like to gossip about everyone and everything. I love food and wine, and my idea of a brilliant evening is a bottle of red, a platter of cheese, bread and assorted antipasti, a close friend or two and some tipsily-shared secrets. Ok, so I must apologise to all Italians out there. That was such a cliche, and I know you're not all that one-dimensional. Please let me point out that I WORSHIP these character traits in a human being, and I believe the world would be a much better place if everyone lived with this much passion. Anyway, believe it or not, this is actually a review of Enoteca Delle Langhe in Dublin's Italian Quarter. Phew! Beautiful place, somewhere I could (and did) spend an entire evening, sipping away at a lovely red and chatting with friends. The assortment of platters is amazing, and really, you can't order wine without a platter, or vice-versa. Enoteca is warmly lit and inviting, and the wine bottle-covered walls make for a cosy backdrop. The waiters are lovely (and very Italian looking) and they don't ever seem to try to rush you along. This restaurant comes with my highest recommendation for a night out with your girlfriends, or for an evening out with your lover.

Real traditional Italian restaurant. I'm a complete fan of Italian food and I must say that this place is amazing. Really amazing. It's not fancy at all. You don't go there for a big romantic night. The ambiance and atmosphere remind me of the small familial restaurant you can find all over Italy. The food is just WOW! They have really authentic product, really authentic foods. There's nothing I didn't like. We ordered a meat platter and a cheese platter to share. We were 4 and the portions were really generous. Everything was extremely amazing. You could really taste that the products weren't industrial. If you're looking for a place that reminds you of home (if you're Italian) or your holidays in Italy. Just go there!!

Great place to have a bottle of wine with some cheese and meat platters. They import the wine, cheese and meats from Italy and the owner has a vineyard there. The staff are extremely friendly and most appear to be Italian. The food is very reasonably priced. Two thumbs up :-)

One of the best italian restaurant in Dublin Try the aperitivo with a Spritz and the plate of Bruschette to share! The pizza is great and pasta awesome The also have a very good choice of wines, quite rare in Dublin as well. For dinner or aperitivo this is definitely a place to try!

Being healthy with salads and wine (I cropped the sourdough bread out for appearances sake).

This is one of three Wallace restaurants in the little 'Italian Quarter'. Usually, I head straight to Wallace's Taverna, but because the weather was nice, myself and my buddy decided to sit in the little outdoor seating space on front of Enoteca Delle Langhe. It was a tight squeeze sitting down and eventually we had to go up and order as we' weren't being served. After another looooong wait, we finally got our salads and a glass of wine. I'd recommend avoiding the house white - it wasn't the may west and looked suspiciously like pee. :-O We had asked for the dressing on the side; however, when the grub arrived, it was clear the server hadn't understood. She brought extra olive oil and our salads were drenched. My meal promised me olives, goats cheese and sundriend tomato, but what I got was a plate of leaves, 4 olives, one tiny tomato and microscopic amounts of cheese. My buddy's dish was equally void of ingredients, so it was handy we had so much of the aforementioned dressing, as at least it provided us with some form of sustenance - well, that and the sourdough bread, which was heavenly. From my oogling of other people's food, I deduce that we, as an attempt to be heathy, made bad choices. Any menu items with a headline act of meat, bread or cheese looked much more substantial. Nevertheless I'm still going to go back to the Taverna in future.

The wine and tapas were fine. The waitress left much to be desired. My wife and I stopped in one afternoon for a glass of white wine each and to split a small plate. We received generous pours at a fair price and quite liked our tapas, which was toasted baguette with a very flavorful pesto topping. We really liked it. What we didn't much care for was the waitress. She was rather, well, not all too pleasant. She didn't seem too enthused to be at work and it came across in her dismissive demeanor. It's too bad, too, because we liked the place otherwise.

To be honest, I don't know why I keep coming back here. Could it be it's just a 5 minute walk from where I live? Or is it the nice little (heated) terrace - perfect for people watching? I can't think of any other reason really... I have yet to try a really nice wine here, the food is allright, but nothing I couldn't make better myself, staff is really hit and miss (usually end up waiting a long time). Having said that, it's not so bad I would avoid it altogether, and it's just a nice convenient spot to have a catch up with a friend over an (A-OK) glass of wine.

I must say, I really enjoy this place. It's great for a nice dinner or if you have a few friends and just want some antipasti with a few glasses of wine. They have an amazing selection of wines along with some really good antipasti and cheeses as well. The staff are lovely and the location is right in the Italian quarter just two minutes from the Jervis LUAS stop.

Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.
