I contacted them because a couple of tin cans containing tea were banged up and damaged because of their poor shipping and handling practice. I found just only two small air pillows which were flatten during the shipment in more than big enough shipping box for four tins. I contacted them to ask for just replacement empty tins and I got a reply from them saying "If the tea inside is not damaged and the bags are intact, then the product is still ok to consume. As these products are on Clearance Sale, as long as the products itself has not been damaged, there is typically no need for an exchange or refund since it is still useable." But I expected undamaged merchandise inside and out because they charged me extra for the tins after all. read more

My only source for Better Coffee. I used to order Douwe Egbert Mocca from Ama***, but decided the price was too high. I looked around, found EBC and have been ordering from them from the last several years. I don't even buy coffee from a supermarket anymore. Shipping is fast, products are fresh, selection is great. They have specials on coffee packages are getting close to or past expiration. I buy these too as the coffee is still quite good after expiration (not too long after of course), mostly because the price is discounted deeply, really deeply. I've tried nearly every brand they carry just to sample the different tastes across Europe. They all seem to like it a bit different. EBC is better. I give a star for relatively fast shipping that is on the expensive side unfortunately. I ordered a couple of German coffee brands that I know. All are on the expensive side as well but some on sale and a promo code helped. When they arrived I noticed that 2 of them are pretty much at expiration date so I complained. Was told the expiration date was clearly displayed on the website. Sent screenshots from he website and no expiration date displayed when adding the product to the cart or when checking out. They just replied that you actually have to click on the item in order to see the expiration date. No apology or offer to correct the issue. Would not order from them again... read more

The customer service is still excellent and since that time I've ordered other coffees, like Jacobs from Germany, Lavazza from Italy, Hausbrandt from Italy, Davidoff from Germany, and Maison from France.... all are excellent brands and great coffees .... and makes my morning hours much nicer to sip my coffee while watching the sunrise up in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. When their coffee arrived it was over roasted and impossible to drink. They denied to accept the return on their own expense for the fake coffee and also for one pack that was opened for trying. I have done business with these guys for over a decade. Not living in a huge metropolitan area they made available choices in coffee that would not be available to me otherwise. On top of that their prices are consistently some of the most competitive anywhere. One of my favorite selections is Dallmayr, the premium German roast. Their prices are usually 20% or more competitive relative to the competition. When I have had questions I simply call them in advance of placing an order so everything is perfect. They have an array of Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Turkish roasts. Plus I can order several cases at a time and not worry about picking up more for months. We recently moved and they noticed the change of billing and shipping address and called to verify before shipping to make sure it was not a fraud. Everyone I've come in contact with at this company has been absolutely fabulous. They are professional yet friendly. Their products are ideal for me. Their pricing is fair on a normal day but their sales prices can't be beat. I shop here because of a combo of all of the reasons listed above, but the main reason is customer service. During this years hurricane season I had placed an order to be shipped to my parents. Before the shipment was about to leave, a representative called to verify information about this being a gift (which it was and I was greatly appreciative) and then surprised me by offering to hold my shipment until the next hurricane passed thru Florida (where it was being shipped to) so I didn't have to worry about more than $150 worth of coffee being damaged or lost in the chaotic aftermath the weather terrorists were expecting. I have been a customer in good standing for about one year. In October of 2014, Enjoy Better Coffee cancelled my account and refused to honor any further orders I had placed. They gave no reason for this other than the the following: "Unfortunately, we cannot satisfy your high standards for services with our company. Therefore, we decided to not do business with you." I had no idea to what they were referring and asked them to explain what they meant. I had just placed an order for my usual case of coffee through their website and had spoken with no one there! No email I sent was answered after that first one so I appealed to the Better Business Bureau for help. Unfortunately, other than to tell the BBB the following: ""This customer is unpleasant and offensive. We had problems with her and more likely will have in a future." Once again, I had no idea to what they could be referring and still had no inkling as to what had happened to ever make them think the things they were stating. I am virtually convinced they must have my account confused with that of another customer but cannot be certain since they will not answer properly. I have subsequently reported them the the State of Ohio Department of Consumer Complaints and am awaiting resolution, however, if what the BBB told me is true, that any business has the right to not do business with a customer, I do not know how this can be resolved. All I can do is warn others of what has happened and if they can do this to me, they can do it to anyone! I ordered from this company the same coffee beans i ordered previously from Amazon and liked. one of the bags came full of air. i contacted their cs who basically told me that in fact all their bags come full of air and they sometimes suck the air out from that bags. that is weird considering that only one out of the 5 bags they sent me was full of air and that none of the bags i previously ordered from amazon had air. Plus, this coffee is imported from Netherlands, so i cannot see how this company would be involved in doing anything to these bags that are packed in Netherlands. They told me to return it if i do no like it. I gave up since the returning shipping would have costed me almost the whole refund for a bag. needless to say, after opening the bag the coffee was stale and flavorless. So, be aware that if you are ordering from this company, they will not correct a mistake and they will insist that that is the way the coffee should be. read more
