On an early morning, on a trip to Cleveland, I stopped at Crimson to get a snack and drink to keep me up for the drive. The inside was very nice and cozy. The menu had a general selection of coffee drinks and some bakery treats on display. I got the coffee cake (I think) and an Iced White Mocha Latte. I thought the latte helped me stay awake for the 3.5 hour drive I had ahead of me. The cake was tasty and still moist. I also tried their blueberry or cranberry cupcake and that was tasty as well. The staff members were very polite and helped in giving suggestions on what drinks to get. I didn't notice until I went inside that they also have a drive thru. Either way, coming inside was a better option for me to stretch my legs. If I pass by Columbus again, I'll stop by Crimson to try another drink and bakery treat.

Sausage breakfast sandwich

My second time around at this Crimson Cup, I decided to stay for a bit and get some work done. They only have a handful of tables, and they do fill up quickly. Luckily, I was able to snag one, but I also arrived around 7am on a weekday. The parking situation is also less than optimal. There are only a couple spots directly in front of Crimson Cup, with some more on the side that are shared with the attached bank. This time, I opted for one of the breakfast sandwiches and went with a sausage, egg and cheese. It was pretty good and well worth the ~$5. I also got a black coffee. The prices are pretty good, the coffee is reliable, and I definitely like this place as a to-go coffee spot (they do have a drive-thru), but the lack of seating has me leaving it with 3 stars this go around.

Plenty of seating inside and out. There's plenty of choices. The prices are reasonable. I got the chai tea, however, I was not aware that there was a self-service bar where you can add your own milk and sugar. It seems a shame that I had to add my own when I got home. I mean, I thought a chai tea would automatically would come with milk and sugar.

Mocha Freeze and two bags of organic light roasts

Sometimes you just have to indulge! The signature "crimson cup mocha freeze" is an occasional treat that is rich but maintains its coffee flavor. Recommend getting with "hot shots" rather than the default cold press. As for the beans, they are my go-to for home brewing. Reasonably priced at about $10 per bag, I got two organic light roasts this time around

Matcha latte

My first time coming here and I thought it was a great place to do work. When it gets busy, it does get a bit loud and cramped. There's not many tables, nor big tables for groups. There's free WiFi and plenty of parking! Staff was very friendly and I loved their selection of drinks. I got the large Matcha Latte and absolutely loved it ~$4.25. I didn't like the chairs and tables much, just because they got uncomfortable after a bit. There are couches, but I couldn't do work while sitting in one. This place is good to work alone, but not great for a bigger group. I love the natural lighting and the outside patio seating. There's also a food truck out front! I recommend this place for a calm environment, place to work, and good drinks.

My favorite place to stop after work! Delicious vanilla latte and more reasonably priced than many other coffee places!

the coffee was very good, a good amount of tables to sit at, not too long of a wait for the coffee

Ask the Community - Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea

Do the "freeze" drinks have a consistency like that of a Frappuccino, a traditional shake, or more liquid like chocolate milk?

It has the consistency of a Frappuccino. I usually get the Crimson Cup Mocha Freeze.

Does Crimson Cup have quality match and are matcha lattes made the traditional way?

Hi Sara! Our Matcha Latte is very popular! We serve it as a latte with steamed milk, vanilla syrup, and honey. If you would prefer us to modify it in any way just ask and we will accommodate.

Knowledgeable, genuinely friendly, and clearly obsessed (in the best way) with making exceptional coffee. Watching him work the beautiful lever espresso machine is like watching an artist at work, and the results speak for themselves. Every drink is thoughtfully crafted and absolutely delicious. The coffee and espresso here are next-level. On top of that, the space itself is cozy, unique, and full of character. Huge shoutout as well to Brian, another fantastic member of the team who's welcoming, skilled, and adds to the great vibe. Two Tigers is a must-try for any coffee or espresso lover. If you appreciate expertly made drinks, warm hospitality, and a one-of-a-kind environment, this place is an absolute gem.

A few seats along the side. Luckily I went at an off time, so it wasn't crazy crowded still, the four of us filled half the customer area.) It smells great inside. Small menu of good coffee. I went with a latte, and added caramel (small surcharge, and only a few flavors.) It was excellent. Rich coffee, smoothed a bit by milk and flavor but not overwhelmed. Really good. They have a couple of special blends if you want straight coffee to savor their flavor. Handy for me, though I usually stop into Dough Mama for a snack plus caffeine. They do have a few pastries here, and they looked great. Service was great. Price is competitive. Come in and warm up.

Situated in a cue lil food court next to Dayou, Mr Tea thrives on me being too lazy to go somewhere else to get a sweet treat when I'm like knees deep in spicy noods. That said, I did actually very much like the fresh mango slush with cheese macchiato. Even though mangoes are nawt in season, the drink appeared to have real mango chunks in addition to mango jelly. Very refreshing! However, my second encounter with a tea-forward drink was more disappointing. I decided to give the osmanthus latte a try but it tasted quite watered down, almost like they maybe use milk instead of a creamer? The osmanthus flavor was also not strong enough. Overall, a decent place to grab fruity boba if you are in the vicinity but it wouldn't be my first choice if you are looking for tea.

Extensive drink options ranging from milk teas to fruit teas and a variety of toppings. Pricing is a bit steep (comparable to San Francisco prices but in Ohio) but right now they're offering a BOGO 50% off! Good tea flavor, soft boba pearls, definitely a must-visit when grocery shopping at Dayou.

I especially enjoyed the illusion of privacy offered by the dividing screens at the traditional seating area. I am apt to take off my shoes in public regardless of the occassion, but the sunken tables allowed me to unleash the dawgs in a more socially acceptable manner. Note that Tea Zone no longer offers as wide a variety of savory foods. In fact, they only serve ramen. But their bakery section is still robust! I'm not honestly the biggest fan of most fruit cakes but I had an uncontrollable craving. As far as store-bought fruit cakes go, it was not bad. As always, I wish the cake part had more depth of flavor than just ~vanilla~, but as a whole, the cake was quite soft and generously topped with an assortment of fruit! The servers were very sweet (haha) and offered to make my iced matcha latte unsweetened but I was like, no, I need the high. Because I sure as hell am not high on life. Not a direct quote

Would love to see if they can do a red bean filled soboru bun! I was surprised by how good the fried donut was - super soft and filled with sweet red bean inside. If you're a chestnut lover, I also recommend the chestnut soboru bun. It had chunks of chestnuts inside and was not too sweet. If you're a savory person or need a meal, they also serve ramen There are plenty of seats inside and the interior has such a classic, homey feel to it.
