Yeah, Me Too is the simplest place to get coffee. It is a bare bones kind of place. They have cold or hot dark roast. No need to ponder over a list of add ins. Only accepts cash, no fancy rewards card shit. I had the regular coffee. It's about $2.50 for the regular size. The coffee has a very fresh taste. It's because the owner grows his own beans. The owner is a pretty interesting guy. He obviously know a lot about coffee. The minimalistic aspect is the main attraction here. It doesn't have any seating inside, so there's no wifi of course. This looks more like an art studio. A few items appear to be for sale but I didn't ask. There's lots of advertisements for local artists and musicians. It sure is different than Starbucks. So, despite several mentions on the talk thread about the best coffee in Cbus, Yeah Me Too didn't have a Yelp entry... til now! I have only had one item from Yeah Me Too, but it is such a delicious and memorable item that I recommend this teensy coffee stop to everyone: the iced coffee here is sinful. It's twice coldpressed. Sam puts cream and sugar in it for you (if you want it - I recommend it for sure). It's almost impossible to describe, except that it's soft and rich and something like dry (if iced coffee can be dry) all at once. It's like the coffee version of quicksilver. Or sex, soft sweet and slow. It's by exponential values by far the best iced coffee I've ever had. I get one almost every time I visit my friend Julie, who owns and is an artist at Adorn Arts Tattoo, right down the block. It's eleven thirty at night and now all I can think of is iced coffee from Yeah Me Too. They only take cash, so keep that in mind. I visited this place well over a year ago before I moved to Columbus. I was looking for a pick me up for a long drive home after visiting friends. I ordered and then found out it was a CASH ONLY establishment. I told him I was from out of town and I don't carry cash and he gave me the coffee for free. Obviously I went out to my car and dug around for all my spare change to cover it. I'm giving this place 5 stars not because I enjoyed black coffee (I'm more of a latte/chai drinker), but because of service I received. read more

Yeah, Me Too has one of the more questionable business models for a coffee shop in Columbus: no place to sit, nothing to eat, and you can't get a skinny-vanilla-latte-soy-milk-whatever with a pretty foam design on the top. The coffee comes in one brew choice (dark roast), two serving options (hot or cold), and three sizes (medium, large, extra large). That's about it. It is, however, some of the best coffee you will find in Columbus. I am in love, in particular, with the cold brew. And if you buy a pound of beans roasted in-house, the cup of coffee is free. The first time I had his cold brew, I said to the owner: "Wow, this is really amazing! I'll have to put this on Yelp!" His response: "Please don't." Btw, not permanently closed, Yelp. Well let's just say that it's not exactly what I was expecting. I set up a business meeting with an individual that was passing thru Columbus for coffee that was close to where I was: Thankfully we had met before and this wasn't the first impression of me. The coffee is one(1) flavor (assuming it's the coffee du jour) two(2) ways of getting it (Hot or Cold) and three(3) sizes (Small, Medium, Large) . There wasn't anywhere to sit, so having a meeting went out the door - just as we did; However, the individual on duty (Owner???) did direct us after being asked if there was any place close by to be able to sit down and talk to The Salt Mines; Coworking site which was two(2) doors down. Now that you have those disclaimers out of the way that some people seem to not understand, let me say that I Love this place and have for about 5 years now. He roasts amazing coffee beans and we buy the beans to use at home, often giving them as gifts to family and friends at Christmas as well. If you have some cash in you pocket and are in the area when he is open, I recommend swinging by and grabbing a cup- he'll make it fresh for you likely. Easily one of the worst coffee shops I've been to. When I spend money on coffee I expect two things: the coffee is good and the service is efficient and welcoming. Preferably I enjoy a shop that goes beyond and offers inside seating, free wifi, some food/dessert options and maybe a cute hipster girl behind the counter...but I don't wanna give away that I'm from LA this early on in the review... Coffee here is pretty solid I must admit, granted you have two options "hot or cold". The vibe is that of a gothic artist's funeral, without the goth and without the funeral, although I can tell you right now, the "barista" was anything but alive. This "coffee man" barely spoke, had the hair of a 97 year old Kenny G and the personality of the coffee cup I'm holding now. I take that back, this cup is giving me life right now thanks to it's contents. Point is, unprofessional and unwelcoming. Solid coffee. But I drink for the experience as a whole. Unique isn't really saying it. Different, offbeat, minimalist, Yeah, Me Too serves one of the richest French press coffee I've had. It was love at first sip. Just strong enough, just hot enough, just flavorful enough, just everyone enough it's the goldilocks of coffee. Damn, this guy knows what he is doing. He must have a doctorate in food science, or part of a family heritage of caffeine masterpieces, or some natural born freak with a seriously developed coffee making gene or something. Just wow! A small space in the attention grabbing, Van Gogh blue building just down from Studio 35, YMT isn't a coffee house, it's a pick-up-and-go. The interior looks more like a painters studio than a food shop. ( it's clean.) which I think is the point--the coffee is the art. He only serve coffee, one flavor, nothing else, and as other have attest, he takes cash only. I was glad to have finally have some cash on me while the neighborhood so I could try it. The owner, I assume that's who served me, has an artistic temperament. The walls have art, and he comes off as introverted to a high level, which is cool. He doesn't offer stirrers but spoons to mix your drink. He has half-and-half and sugar as choices. For me, this takes the top spot in the regular coffee category. read more

Whenever someone is in Columbus and asks me about coffee, there's only one place I recommend. Affordable, expertly crafted coffee is something that college students, struggling parents and starving artists alike seek like a finely written essay or a kid friendly lunch paradise. Coffee fuels us. Oh, sweet nectar. Or in this case, not so sweet. Because I don't need to cover up this cup of joe with anything other than a lid on my way out. French pressed, roasted in house. There's no option to eat in and it's a one man army. The walls are decorated with local art and two tables are set up for local acts and musicians to peddle their wares and get a little bit of advertisement (I've recognized a few of the bands that frequent places such as the Rumba, Ledo's, Tree Bar, etc.). The only option is coffee, you pick a size and add creamer and sugar at your leisure. Not only is the service amazing (he's patient and will do any explaining you need), the owner even offered to give me my coffee on the house when I realized that I'd forgotten my cash. My friend ended up covering me until we got back to our apartment, but the fact that he was so conscientious and put his customers before the three dollars my large coffee was going to cost continues to stick with me. This place is hilarious and very strange. Best coffee in town, I'm told, but it comes with it's bitterness on the side. It's cheap, simple, and straightforward - Coffee: iced or hot in large or small. That's it. All roasted right there, all french pressed. It can be a very awkward experience between the oddly silent barista and the people standing around in the 10x10 foot building sipping their drinks staring at you as you add, God forbid, CREAM to your coffee. The morning guy is downright antisocial. The afternoon guy is affable, but taciturn. The parking sucks. In the morning, you have to park across the street. But you'll get towed if you park there in the afternoon. There's no seating. And you have to pay cash. There are literally two ways you can order your coffee -- hot and cold. So why such a high rating? The coffee. It's great. Roasted in-shop and expertly, it's really the best cup of straight joe you can buy in town, and stands proudly yet awkwardly aside the best cups of coffee you can buy anywhere. Period. So, while a glass of the world's best wine could cost you hundreds of dollars, a cup of world-class coffee will set you back three bucks at Yeah Me Too. If you're willing to be treated this badly, perhaps you're just that badass about your coffee. And, for better or for worse, perhaps you deserve Yeah Me Too. read more

Strange Brew, Strange Crew. If your coffee experience is only made complete by ample parking, wireless connectivity, chairs and warm conversation with the Barista and the patrons, then this ain't your place. However, if you hanker for decent $2 cup of coffee in a paper cup (sleeve optional) - then plan to have a friend drop you off, circle the block and pick you up again. In my case, I had to slip between two standing patrons who were sipping their $2 item in the 4 foot by 4 foot lounge or "no chair zone." When I finally made it to the counter, I stood for nearly 2 minutes until a dark shadow in the back decided to assume an upright position and head in my direction. (I guess there was a chair, just not for customers). I was greeted with a series of grunts from what appeared to be one of the Geico cavemen -gesturing me to refer to the three item menu board. Some business models thrive on the theory of scarcity - and only reveal their inner beauty to those who patiently endure their eccentricities and obvious shortcomings over multiple visits. Ordinarily, I'm a tea drinker. I have nothing against coffee -- that is, it's not a strict abstention so much as a strong leaning in the other direction -- and there are two main times when I will choose the bean over the leaf. One is while trying to drive long distances on less sleep than I would like. The other is when a crazy number of positive reviews for a place that sells only coffee pique my curiosity. I never really noticed this little shop, despite being so close to Studio 35, which I go to frequently. I never would have guessed it had a name -- the big sign simply says "Coffee." But the happy, bright colors are welcoming, and the sign does not lie. There is indeed Coffee. With a capital C, yes. There are also a couple of tables to the side with art, postcards, CDs, comics... all, I would assume, by local artists. Or friends of the owner who may or may not be local? I'm kinda clueless about the art scene, but either of those would be plausible. It's been so long since I was a regular coffee drinker that my taste buds are rusty. But this coffee pleased them. I can see the draw. If I were a 9-to-5er with a need for the heavy fuel, this place would be a more satisfying bet than a Starbucks drive-through. read more

Weird, but good. When I told the guy behind the counter that I heard good things about this place on Yelp he said "I'm sorry." I didn't pay attention to the fact that they're cash only. I asked if they take cards. He said "We're not set up to take cards." Meanwhile, he was pouring a cup of coffee. He shoved it my way and said "You can pay next time." I walked out. Wow! Normally French press coffee doesn't knock my socks off, but this was so smooth and rich and roasty but still showed off the bean - yeah, good good stuff. So I went back the next day with cash. Dude was wearing a knit hat and gloves as he poured coffee, I guess they don't heat the building? I said "Hey I can pay for yesterday's coffee too." Reviews of this place are pretty accurate. I will go out of my way and then some to get a cup of French press here. Consistent, inexpensive, and easily the best cup of coffee I've had. I enjoy and look forward to holding this coffee in my hands and drinking it...slowly... As others have stated, it is cash only. Just keep this in mind because its a super bummer when you are right outside and realize you forgot to pull the money for the trip. Parking is street and easy. This guy, what can I say....this guy is a genuine treat. He doesn't say much and still conveys a presence of, "thanks for coming, I love coffee, and I hope you love this brew as much as I do". Coffee, plain and simple. Just coffee. A friend of mine really likes this little shop. He said its the best plain old coffee he's had. So I stopped by and got a cup along with a Pattycake blueberry muffin. I could smell it on the way home, oh yum! It was soooo good I drank it black! Well, this is a weird little place. Part of me really wants to have respect for a place that is serious about coffee and just focuses on a good, simple product. The issue is, the product here just isn't good enough for the weird, efficient-bordering-on-rude environment. If you're going to just serve iced and hot coffee at least tell me what coffee I am drinking. Where does it come from? Is it organic? Did you roast it? What kind of bean is it? Just tell me something about it or it might as well be Folgers. Now, the coffee was good, but it wasn't that good. My iced coffee was way, way to strong. I get that it needs to be strong because it's getting diluted by ice, but this was kind of ridiculous. Also if you're shop is going to be focused on just hot or iced coffee, at least have simple syrup for your product. Maybe they did have it and they just didn't offer it. They guy who was there seemed like we were bothering him by ordering coffee. Good American style coffee for a good price. Nothing more, for better or worse. The place is not what you expect...well, maybe it will be after reading several reviews. You walk in - you find a guy, an old coffee roaster, a french press and silence. Aside from some local looking art and a few other pieces of coffee making equipment, that's all there is. You could transplant it all to a small food cart and it'd be the same, minus the cold. The rudeness that some reviewers mention is probably just the lack of anything in the way of niceties or friendliness. You might think of your visit like a visit to the Soup Nazi, if he only served one type of soup and instead of yelling said nothing. Strange, definitely. This is not only my favorite coffee shop in Columbus; its my favorite coffee shop in America. The fellow who owns the coffee shop is about quality coffee, and thats precisely what he serves - hot or cold. All of it roasted in-house. There is simple syrup, half and half or soy milk if you like. No other sugary silliness to dump in what is an amazingly well crafted brew. His cold press coffee (steeped in cold, rather than hot, water, resulting in a richer, sweeter, less acidic brew) is a thing of beauty. It is so gorgeous there is no need to add sugar or dairy. If you feel the need, however, its there for you. He does not put on a fake, cheery smile for every person who enters the door, but he is very pleasant and personable once you get to know him. I used to live in Columbus and visited his place quite frequently. I no longer reside in Ohio, but every time I come back to visit friends his place is one of the first and last I visit. If you want frothy cream, toffee swirls, berries, caramel, or coffee milkshakes this is not your place. "The best coffee in Columbus" is a phrase that gets thrown around a lot in reference to Yeah Me Too, so I was naturally skeptical when I finally decided to find out for myself. In this case, public opinion seems to be right; the coffee here is divine. I've had fewer than a dozen cups (partially because it's out of my way, partially because it's expensive), all iced, and I can say without a doubt this is the richest and most flavorful iced coffee I've ever had... black as night, intensely strong, but no bitterness or bad aftertaste as reported below. Coffee and iced coffee are your only choices here, which is fine with me because that's all I ever order anyway. It makes the line faster, too, without some granny in front of you, methodically choosing which 12 flavors of donuts she wants in her dozen. I always feel a little awkward coming here before work, wearing my shirt and tie. I definitely stand out in a coffee shop that seems to be run by and patronized almost exclusively by OSU students and people who wish they were still OSU students. Maybe that's why I've been pretty much ignored in my few visits here, with the guy behind the counter not saying a word to me most of the time. If the coffee were mediocre, the service might be worth docking a star, so good thing it's great. read more

I had heard rumors of fresh roast, french pressed in Clintonville... today was the day to hunt down them rumors. First visit to Yeah, Me Too. Tiny shop. First thing I noticed was, hey, there's the roaster (good, very good). Second thing I noticed was that you can buy beans (fresh roasted), hot coffee (french pressed), iced coffee (toddy brewed) and some baked sundries. That's it. Nothing else. So, coffee for me: one hot and one iced. Outstanding, simply outstanding. If only I could roast so well. The hot was a Peru coffee. The iced was not identified (I should have asked) -- I am guessing the Brazil. In the spirit of focusing on what you do best and leaving all else to others -- Yeah, Me Too wins the prize. Delighted to have found this gem -- just like in specialty coffee, once you think you know a thing or two -- along comes something new (to me). p.s. they do sell one more thing -- green (unroasted) coffee beans by the pound.
