We are loyal customers but did not receive consistent service this latest visit. Food was excellent, as always, good and hot. We had to wait for, and additionally ask for, a refill for our drinks. We did not get the $10 off for our Royalty Reward program and instead of adding points to the reward program the server removed points from our account, prompting a call to the restaurant to get it rectified. Where did all the good servers go? They were good and consistent folks we were always happy to see and talk to. read more

The resturant is adjacent to Scheels sporting goods mega store, but worth a visit to them on their own. Has a variety of home brews , tasting flights and great appetizers. I had the fishplate multiple visits. Definitely worth the try out So far only on Sundays have I been just a little disappointed. But even then still better than most places nearby. read more

Love the farm to table concept but found the delivery to be lacking. Roasted corn dip appetizer was lukewarm, at best and bland while the chips accompanying the dip were disappointing. Burger and horseshoe were standard fair. Was hoping for sparks of brilliance. Perhaps we ordered the wrong items. read more

The food and beer is okay. I know they have vegan options so it's nice to be able to take my vegan friends to a place where they can order more than a salad. They have trivia nights during non-Covid times that can be really fun with the right group of people. During the pandemic, I ordered food from here and it just doesn't travel well. Things were super soggy. It would have been better hot off the press though. I've never been super impressed by their food (even in non-Covid times) personally, but it's decent. read more

Love the craft beers. Food is pretty good too, although I usually stick to the burgers. Fries are often hit or miss. Their helles style beer is absolutely delicious. Very delicious food! The Mac and Cheese was some of the best I've had in a long time. The entire atmosphere was very clean, fun and friendly. I loved the layout and the bar area as well. The servers/hosts were very friendly. The only negative I have is that our server took quite a while to bring us our checks and we had to ask a couple times for a box, but hey - they were getting busy, totally understandable. This restaurant is a farm to table establishment. The food was amazing. I had the burger of the week, my husband had sausage stuffed chicken thighs, and our friends had steak. All meals were delightful. Our drinks were crisp and cold. Our server was prompt and friendly. We didn't have to wait for a table and didn't have to wait very long for our food once we ordered. The worst part about the visit was narrowing it down to one entree! I highly recommend and look forward to going back. read more

I would leave no stars, but that's not an option. We had a reservation and we were seated right away. But we sat there for 15 minutes with no service. As we were waiting for someone to bring us a water and take our orders, another couple was seated. 2 minutes later they were brought water and helped out. The waiter walked by & said he would figure out who our waiter was. Another 5 minutes passed and still no waiter. We got up and left. The place wasn't busy. Probably 10 people inside. I could understand if we didn't have reservations but we did. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Our service was terrible, had to wait forever for our food, wasn't brought a steak knife with my steak salad. By the time we saw the server again almost everyone else at the table was done, but I had barely started since I couldn't cut my steak. The salad wasn't very good and was pretty expensive. My husband ordered a burger and side salad, we never got the salad, but didn't get anything taken off our check or one to go. Several things on the menu weren't available. They should advertise a changing menu. One person ordered they're soup and then the server came back while food was being delivered to tell her they were out of it. My husband did like his beer, but they were out of the one he really wanted to try. I won't go back until I hear lots of good reviews from other people. Too much money for that experience. read more

Horse shoe was disappointing, not because I got a bad one, the cheese is kinda artificial and the fries were home made style, that can be good but they were thin cut so got cold instantly plus soggy, the beef patty was great and so was my wife's italian beef, but it's springfield, step up on the shoe, oh I think they only had one kind just burger.. ok I like dark beer, they were out of the oatmeal stout and that was there dark beer , I then got the sample and 3 of the beers had that bitter tobacco taste that someone commented on .. And non seemed hearty or grainy kinda bla I was going to order a beer from an other brewery that they had but the price was high.. I expected a lot more.. The other place in town is always a sure thing, so I don't see me going back for a while.. read more

We are new to Springfield and knew that we needed to take my husband's parents somewhere to try out a horseshoe. We had tried one before at another restaurant, but were not super impressed. We ordered 2 horseshoes from Engrained to share. They were both excellent! My husband and I shared a barbecue smoked pulled pork. Wow! It was amazing. His parents got the breaded pork tenderloin. They enjoyed their's but did say how much better the pulled pork was. We also got a hefeweizen, which was very good, as well. They have the best beer in town and the atmosphere and service is great too. Their food is good and getting better (the flatbread pizzas were excellent). My one wish is that the kids flatbread pizza come with a fruit and/or vegetable to form a complete meal for the kids. read more

We came for the beer; oved the IPA, Blackberry IPA mix and the choc quad was dangerously delicious at 11% abv. The atmosphere is more restaurant like. We tried the BBQ ribs. At $19 for 5 ribs and 2 sides, we felt them a bit pricey. The meat was local which explains why, and were happy to have an option to support local producers. Salad and roasted veggies were great, as was the service. I almost forgot to mention that we got their chocolate cake to go. It is huge and, oh so good. read more

My husband got his usual, the NY Strip, and I tried the black and blue salad (I sense a theme with my orders). We got an order of nachos for the table and the kids loved it. The service was great, from the host to the many servers asking about my status. The place was very modern, family friendly and clean looking. You can tell owner and management are a great team. The beer is average, I am an IPA and Pale Ale fan so those were my go to's but I ventured out by purchasing a flight. Unfortunately the Brazilian & Peach saison were pretty much medicine in a 4 oz glass. The cheese curds were too greasy, but they are fried.
