Amazing deep dish pizza both regular and GF crusts! The best deep dish we've had in our nations travels! Staff were so kind and efficient! Everything is hand made and freshly cooked so be mindful it may take 20-30 minutes for the pizza. Don't be in a rush and it will be well worth the wait! The mini size pizza was perfect for 1 person. They had many pastries to choose from also, but we were too full to try it during our visit. Located perfectly in the heart of downtown Livingston. Definitely stop in! read more

Staff were friendly and you get large portions for what you pay for. However, I do think it's way overpriced and lacked flavor. Didn't love the homemade Caesar dressing and it was too drenched (for my liking). I liked the unique pizza options but it was just very ok. read more

Maybe the best Caesar salad I've ever had! Oh yeah, the pizza is amazing too. Great, fast service. We will be back!

Fantastic fun place, hopping on a Wednesday night. Staff was super friendly had no issues with the fact that we had a celiac in our party! safe for gluten allergies, no judgment about the fact that you asked about what was in items. Highly recommend. For the celiac it is a shared kitchen space but they were very careful.. read more

Amazing gluten free pizza! (Gluten free Pizza is made in the same area as gluten pizza). We had the Margo and it was fantastic. We also had the Caesar salad, and the Orchard salad, which was really too. If you like salad with fruit I highly recommend it. The restaurant is small but has a couple large tables. With an industrial rustic atmosphere. Waiter was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be eating here again. read more

Excellent! As a former Chicagoan, I can attest to the legitimacy of the deep dish. Very impressed. Great, friendly service and cool spot to grab a pie and some local brews. read more

Went here for the first time last night. The food was incredible! This was the best restaurant meal I have had in YEARS. We ordered a Miles pizza and a Chef Chop salad with bread and oil for an appetizer. The bread was soft and delicious. We usually just pick at salads but this one was so delicious that we ate it all. After eating the salad and bread, I had high hopes the pizza would be just as good. I was not disappointed. The sauce tastes incredible. I don't really ever eat deep dish pizza, so it was fun to try something new. We also got some bakery items to go, brownie and cannoli. So delicious! The staff were really friendly and the space had a nice ambiance. I can't wait to go back and try something off the lunch menu. This is one place in Livingston that deserves more hype. read more

Was in town for a family vacation, and I have nothing to say about the food because we never even got any; but a whole lot to say about the experience which should already tell you everything you need to know. A few of us had went to get a pizza (to go) for lunch, they said 25 min which is already a pretty long wait considering there were maybe 3 full tables at the time, but sure. We walked around and came back; pizza still wasn't done and now there was "something wrong with the dough", so it would take another 30 minutes to remake it... The cashier was polite and tried to understand what was going on as well, but the blonde woman who was also behind the counter was not very helpful or communicative. She was standing right in front of us and refused to speak to us let alone look at us. For context, there were 3 of us that went that day (May 11th), and I was the only black one. A different group from our family went the day prior, no issues and there was even more of them dining in. There were no black people in the establishment, both staff and customers. This was not welcoming establishment at all, and I have a strong feeling there was nothing wrong with that dough. If you are a person of color you understand micro aggressions and pick up on them very well, and fast. A pride flag outside doesn't mean anything and is very performative. Do better or close your doors. read more

Soggy deep dish pizza. Deep dish should have a firm crust. Flavor was meh as well. Got the Margo. However, staff were friendly and tables were clean as well as bathroom. read more

Many of our neighbors have been recommending and we finally made it. We will be back as it is our new favorite in Livingston. Great service and atmosphere. The drink menu was really good. We had salad 2 individual deep dish pizzas and the tiramisu. All amazing! We grabbed pastries for next morning. Nothing disappointed. The price was even great! read more

Brunch or lunch, the food is fantastic! The service is great and the ambiance has a coffee shop vibe with a modern touch. There is also cool photos on the walls with the history of the town. This is our third time here this week if that says anything. read more

Food: Our dinner was delicious and filling, balanced, and OMG did I mention the deep dish was awesome? The cesar salad had a dressing not exactly like I expected, but very garlic forward. I enjoyed it, and so did everyone I dinned with. 2/2 Environment: Chairs, other furniture was sturdy and unintrusive. The decor used a lot of copper, wood, herbs that reminds one of maybe the Tuscan valley or a Californian countryside.1/1 Service: Friendly, and good. 0.8/1 Small Town Charm: This spot features delightfully charming staff and patrons. A regular comes and and makes his order by consent across the dining hall, a man stops his truck in front of the shop six minutes to chat with some young ladies at an outdoor table, the scenes of friendly community seem to never stop. 1/1 Overall: Inexpensive sit down spot that's wortha try if you find yourselfin Livingston. 48/5 read more

Their salads are Absolutely delicious made with fresh ingredients and the pizza is outstanding, made with high quality ingredients and super light even the deep dish pizza. First thing they brought out was warm water with no ice on a 90 degree day. Then they brought out beer that was far from cold and the glass was only 2/3 full. The seating is so cramped that when someone wants to get by your table, you have to stand up to let them by. The pizza sauce was extremely. We boxed up half a pizza and by the time we walked across the street, the sauce leaked out of the box onto my wife's white shirt. There wasn't very much meat in the pizza. We had to ask twice for our bill and a go box. They only had one high chair and it wasn't offered to us for our 9 month old granddaughter. But it was offered to the table next to us that came in later. I will say that the gluten-free crust was good. But certainly not $50.00 good. read more

Would HIGHLY recommend. Engine Room Pizza is an inviting restaurant in a distinctive space serving excellent food. Our family of five adults enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We started with the savory burrata (with pesto and lightly marinated cherry tomatoes - as beautiful as it was delicious) and the olives. Two very yummy, crunchy-fresh, and not overly dressed Caesar salads with a generous serving of anchovies was more than we needed; we probably could have gotten away with one (four four of us!), but a well-made Caesar also makes for good leftovers so no complaints here. We ordered three pizzas: the deep dish was the Enzo (you think Ferrari, I think FABULOUS cheesy and meatball pie with yummy homemade tomato sauce). We got two Neapolitan (thin) pizzas, the Daisy, a delicious, light, no-sauce pizza with mushrooms and a mound of fresh arugula, and the Quattro, a four cheese blend (also no tomato sauce) that was remarkably light and punchy without being overwhelming or greasy. All food arrived in a timely fashion even on a hopping Livingston Friday night. We ate inside, but the outdoor dining looked lovely for families and their dogs. Staff knew their stuff, were funny, clever, and gracious. We don't have little kids, but many patrons did and I would easily describe Engine Room Pizza as family friendly. We CANNOT wait to go back. read more

Boy not sure which I like better the pizza or pastries. Both awesome. I had the HOT HONEY HOT ROD Neapolitan pizza with sausage, pepperoni, house tomato sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, hot honey. It was fantastic. The pizza could be shared. I took 1/2 home and my husband took 1/2 his with us too. The wait staff is friendly and attentvie. Would highly recommend. I was in Livingston from 1977 to 1987. It was a blue collar town that was dying after a tough recession and the pull out of the Burlington Northern Railroad. Now it is coming back alive. Bozeman MT is booming and crowded. Real estate is unreachable. The result is Livingston is becoming gentrified. The engine room is a prime example of young entrepreneurs who have menus reflecting healthy palates making wonderful dishes with flare. The Engine Room reflects the baking and cooking talents of its staff with wonderful salads, soups, pizzas, baked goods. The hours are from lunch through evening. So you can enjoy their fare anytime of day. I highly recommend them. read more

We knew their service wasn't great but this time was worse. The waitress was rude, not attentive at all and we were not treated respectfully for sure. After we waited for a long time to get service, finally she came to our table to take an order but she never apologized or showed any signs of remorse (not to mention that she skipped our table and went to others who sat way after us). She made her excuses and made us feel bad every time when we tried to get her attention. (She didn't even say 'sorry' or 'thank you' once ) I guess It was busy night but I have seen busier nights and other waitresses handled it better than this. Food is always late and the customer service isn't great in general at this place but at least they had smiles and little more positive attitude in the past. Not this time. We had a horrible feeling there. We are local and enjoy their food and love trying new places but their customer service skills, especially this waitress, is poor. They need better training on that part. We were so disappointed and hope this will be addressed. read more

I guess if you can actually get pizza from here, it must be delicious based on the reviews but we tried two days with no luck. The first day, we were coming in to town and saw on their website that the pizzas could take up to an hour, so when we were about an hour away, we called. We had spent so much time the previous 30-45 mins discussing food in the car and deciding on what pizza we wanted, everyone had high hopes, but they were immediately dashed when first they wouldn't answer the phone after retrying for 15 mins over and over and then when we finally did get through, they said it would be 2 hours for a pizza! By now we're less than an hour from Livingston, headed to Paradise Valley and mess up our plans for getting to our cabin, so we said no way. Two days later we tried to get pizza and called early, before 5, because we were planning on going into town anyway, so planned for that 2 hour wait, but no one ever answered the phone! It just rang and went to voicemail. I must have tried 25 times, why, I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. I gave up, we went in to town to get our groceries, and we're going to go to Marks since Engine Room never answered, but we drove by for the hell if it, and it wasn't even that busy inside. When we saw no people waiting to get in, and empty tables, we were beyond pissed that we wasted our time. read more

Amazing food! I was in Livingston to run an errand and decided to stop for an early dinner. As I walked towards the restaurant I was treated by the lovely smell of baking pizza. I was warmly greeted as I entered, and took a seat at the bar. I ordered a starter of Enzo's meatballs and an Orchard salad (warning salad is large!), with an entree of a mini Miles. The salad was packed with fresh berries and slices of peaches, the meatballs were tender & flavorful, and the house tomato sauce (oh my). The mini Miles would top most Chicago pizza shops! The crust was light and buttery, the topping all melded together with the sauce for dare I say an almost religious experience. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm passing by Livingston. read more

Back in the day (1984) Wendy's had a commercial featuring an elderly woman asking "Where's the beef?". I am wondering the same thing after leaving the Engine Room. I ordered the Neapolitan style "TFK" pizza. I uncovered two (2) pieces, possibly three (3) of sausage. On a previous visit I ordered the Deep Dish style Enzo - similar experience trying to find the meatball. My advice - order a pizza without meat and save yourself a few bucks. read more

This is the "real McCoy" Neapolitan pizza. Everything house- made, fresh , authentic and outstanding!

Visiting from out-of-state and I would highly recommend for a casual dinner. Pizza and apps were very good, must order the Caesar salad. Sauce on the pizza was great. All desserts were incredible, got those to go and cannot stop thinking about them. Chocolate chip cookie was the favorite alongside the tiramisu and the bear claw/eclair. read more

Took 2 seats at the bar for dinner, 3 servers working on the other side of the bar completely ignored us for an inordinate amount of time, finally 1 acknowledges us and we ask for a drinks menu which they bring and then they never returned. As we were leaving without ordering anything, a guy at the bar is complaining that he ordered a pizza to go 40 minutes ago and was still waiting. We went to the Murray which was significantly busier yet were waited on quickly and had a great meal. read more

Excellent food. Excellent service. Karen was fantastic and accommodated a group of 21. Not once but twice!! Thanks Karen!!!

The food was delicious, even my pickiest eager kept asking to go back for more. Everything is made fresh, which I prefer. I had a very yummy arugula salad that was large enough to feed a few. We had a few different pizzas, both deep dish and thin crust... Both were delicious! Then we ordered several of their homemade desserts that we all enjoyed! Definitely would go back. read more

This was an unexpected surprise in Livingston! We ordered a couple of pizzas and saw the pastries and took them home for the morning. Pizza was good, the deep dish crust was spot on, and the honey hot sauce was insanely good. I'm not a ricotta fan and should have left it off but my wife loved it. The pastries were incredible the next day, and probably even better the day of. Again, Livingston for the surprise win in food spots! Definitely worth a visit!!! read more
