We knew their service wasn't great but this time was worse. The waitress was rude, not attentive at all and we were not treated respectfully for sure. After we waited for a long time to get service, finally she came to our table to take an order but she never apologized or showed any signs of remorse (not to mention that she skipped our table and went to others who sat way after us). She made her excuses and made us feel bad every time when we tried to get her attention. (She didn't even say 'sorry' or 'thank you' once ) I guess It was busy night but I have seen busier nights and other waitresses handled it better than this. Food is always late and the customer service isn't great in general at this place but at least they had smiles and little more positive attitude in the past. Not this time. We had a horrible feeling there. We are local and enjoy their food and love trying new places but their customer service skills, especially this waitress, is poor. They need better training on that part. We were so disappointed and hope this will be addressed. read more

Amazing gluten free pizza! (Gluten free Pizza is made in the same area as gluten pizza). We had the Margo and it was fantastic. We also had the Caesar salad, and the Orchard salad, which was really too. If you like salad with fruit I highly recommend it. The restaurant is small but has a couple large tables. With an industrial rustic atmosphere. Waiter was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be eating here again. read more

Many of our neighbors have been recommending and we finally made it. We will be back as it is our new favorite in Livingston. Great service and atmosphere. The drink menu was really good. Went here for the first time last night. The food was incredible! This was the best restaurant meal I have had in YEARS. We ordered a Miles pizza and a Chef Chop salad with bread and oil for an appetizer. The bread was soft and delicious. We usually just pick at salads but this one was so delicious that we ate it all. After eating the salad and bread, I had high hopes the pizza would be just as good. I was not disappointed. The sauce tastes incredible. I don't really ever eat deep dish pizza, so it was fun to try something new. We also got some bakery items to go, brownie and cannoli. So delicious! The staff were really friendly and the space had a nice ambiance. I can't wait to go back and try something off the lunch menu. This is one place in Livingston that deserves more hype. read more

Would HIGHLY recommend. Engine Room Pizza is an inviting restaurant in a distinctive space serving excellent food. Our family of five adults enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We started with the savory burrata (with pesto and lightly marinated cherry tomatoes - as beautiful as it was delicious) and the olives. Two very yummy, crunchy-fresh, and not overly dressed Caesar salads with a generous serving of anchovies was more than we needed; we probably could have gotten away with one (four four of us!), but a well-made Caesar also makes for good leftovers so no complaints here. We ordered three pizzas: the deep dish was the Enzo (you think Ferrari, I think FABULOUS cheesy and meatball pie with yummy homemade tomato sauce). We got two Neapolitan (thin) pizzas, the Daisy, a delicious, light, no-sauce pizza with mushrooms and a mound of fresh arugula, and the Quattro, a four cheese blend (also no tomato sauce) that was remarkably light and punchy without being overwhelming or greasy. All food arrived in a timely fashion even on a hopping Livingston Friday night. We ate inside, but the outdoor dining looked lovely for families and their dogs. Staff knew their stuff, were funny, clever, and gracious. We don't have little kids, but many patrons did and I would easily describe Engine Room Pizza as family friendly. I was in Livingston from 1977 to 1987. It was a blue collar town that was dying after a tough recession and the pull out of the Burlington Northern Railroad. Now it is coming back alive. Bozeman MT is booming and crowded. Real estate is unreachable. The result is Livingston is becoming gentrified. The engine room is a prime example of young entrepreneurs who have menus reflecting healthy palates making wonderful dishes with flare. The Engine Room reflects the baking and cooking talents of its staff with wonderful salads, soups, pizzas, baked goods. The hours are from lunch through evening. I guess if you can actually get pizza from here, it must be delicious based on the reviews but we tried two days with no luck. The first day, we were coming in to town and saw on their website that the pizzas could take up to an hour, so when we were about an hour away, we called. We had spent so much time the previous 30-45 mins discussing food in the car and deciding on what pizza we wanted, everyone had high hopes, but they were immediately dashed when first they wouldn't answer the phone after retrying for 15 mins over and over and then when we finally did get through, they said it would be 2 hours for a pizza! By now we're less than an hour from Livingston, headed to Paradise Valley and mess up our plans for getting to our cabin, so we said no way. Two days later we tried to get pizza and called early, before 5, because we were planning on going into town anyway, so planned for that 2 hour wait, but no one ever answered the phone! It just rang and went to voicemail. I must have tried 25 times, why, I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. I gave up, we went in to town to get our groceries, and we're going to go to Marks since Engine Room never answered, but we drove by for the hell if it, and it wasn't even that busy inside. When we saw no people waiting to get in, and empty tables, we were beyond pissed that we wasted our time. read more

Amazing food! I was in Livingston to run an errand and decided to stop for an early dinner. As I walked towards the restaurant I was treated by the lovely smell of baking pizza. I was warmly greeted as I entered, and took a seat at the bar. I ordered a starter of Enzo's meatballs and an Orchard salad (warning salad is large!), with an entree of a mini Miles. The salad was packed with fresh berries and slices of peaches, the meatballs were tender & flavorful, and the house tomato sauce (oh my). The mini Miles would top most Chicago pizza shops! The crust was light and buttery, the topping all melded together with the sauce for dare I say an almost religious experience. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm passing by Livingston. read more

Back in the day (1984) Wendy's had a commercial featuring an elderly woman asking "Where's the beef?". I am wondering the same thing after leaving the Engine Room. I ordered the Neapolitan style "TFK" pizza. I uncovered two (2) pieces, possibly three (3) of sausage. On a previous visit I ordered the Deep Dish style Enzo - similar experience trying to find the meatball. My advice - order a pizza without meat and save yourself a few bucks. read more

Ordered an iced tea to go and got an iced coffee. When I politely asked to switch it out the staff member suggested I was wrong. So I suggested she use a straw and taste. They had no iced to serve me but apparently put the coffee from the night before in the iced tea pitcher? Maybe consider buying another pitcher and labeling it correctly.
