From the start, the process was confusing and did not inspire confidence. We were initially told the HVAC system would be replaced, but later informed that the space would not accommodate it as planned. The scope of work seemed unclear and ultimately was not completed as originally explained. Since installation, we have continued to experience significant temperature imbalance throughout the home. The living room becomes very cold, while the bedroom remains warm and uncomfortable--especially at night. This has been a consistent issue for the past year. Additionally, the system appears to be oversized for a home of this size. Installing a three-ton unit in a 972 sq ft space raises concerns about improper system sizing, which can lead to short cycling, poor airflow distribution, and uneven temperatures--exactly what we are experiencing. Communication has also been extremely frustrating. We have struggled to get clear answers or meaningful follow-up regarding these ongoing issues, despite raising concerns multiple times. We were recently informed that the project passed inspection, but passing inspection does not reflect real-world performance. A properly installed HVAC system should provide consistent comfort throughout the home, and that is not happening here. After a full year of unresolved issues, incomplete work, and lack of communication, we cannot recommend this company.

Brenton explained the options clearly and recommended air sealing as part of the job, which required lifting the old batts first. Anthony and his team handled the installation, and I was really impressed with their work and professionalism. Anthony took the time to explain everything and even went beyond my expectations. He added R49 insulation to the attic entry as well, making sure there wouldn't be a hot spot compared to the rest of the insulated attic. I chose ECO because of their long, reliable history, strong reviews, and the fact that they are local to me. My husband asked him to look around the attic, to see if there was anything that needed to be done. He noticed an area around a water heater pipe that for safety reasons shouldn't have insulation, and removed what had fallen in around the pipe. He thought we could add some new insulation material after we repaired the roof leak, to fill in areas that have been lost due to workers and rats moving insulation around . We hope to call him back next Summer to discuss this project. (Previous review: We didn't do it last time, because we wanted to wait until we knew there were no more rats up there. Brenden with ABC Insulation and Supply came out and discussed several options. I wanted to gauge how my research matched up with real world experience. He was patient and answered all my questions. Most importantly, he listened to why I wanted to insulate the garage and how I would be using it. We figured out what was best for my situation. Other insulation companies kept trying to move me towards their most common R-Value for garages and didn't take the time to listen. ABC scheduled and performed the work within my timeframe leaving the garage clean when they were done. The results were immediately noticed. Their pricing was competitive with the 2 other estimates I received. The difference with ABC is their customer engagement. David came out from Economy Heating and Air came out and offered me an estimate for $89 of which would be waived if I had them fix it. After looking at it, he asked me if I would like to fix it for a few hundred dollars or replace it for thousands; I told him I'd rather get it repaired if it wasn't too old. He repaired it that visit for under $400 and I was so grateful. I told him they would be the company I would call if I had any further problems. It's been running well since his visit. He was on time, was very polite and very efficient; I can't thank him enough.

We are extremely dissatisfied with home warranty and how they have handled this on going issue, especially during these heat waves and with a new infant and how they have sent out subpar companies to address the issue. This review is based on my interaction with Elaine and Bob. Elaine called me on July 5th and was able to get an appointment for today in the morning. She called and notified me that Bob will be out to my area in about 15 min. I greatly appreciated the heads up. He arrived as scheduled and we started by looking at the condenser unit. I turned on all the thermostats to 65, auto fan, hold mode as instructed. I explained what prior companies have/have not done and he did a quick check of the refrigerant/pressure reading. I was not sure what information home warranty had conveyed to them but he didn't need to check much. There was also concern of an issue with the liquid line filter drier but I forgot to mention it to him. I had mentioned icing on the outside pipes and a leak from the coil in the unit in the attic as how I initially found all these problems. Three companies have come out to recharge the system but the pressure reading was obviously still low. *One thing to note is that some companies may re-use old refrigerant to charge your line to cut costs but this is illegal and there's no real way to tell from the outside of the cannister* We then proceeded to the attic and he used a blacklight to highlight the dye/oily liquid that is commonly used to attempt to plug up the leak. Two different companies have come out to add this dye/oily liquid to attempt to the plug up the leak without success. He didn't need to check the actual coils because he was convinced there was a leak. I would have hoped he could have checked other components as I thought the reason for the service was to evaluate the entire unit. One thing to note is that were unable to give me a copy of the assessment that was given to Home Warranty, they said they were unable to give me a copy because they work for Home Warranty and not for me. Makes sense I guess but I do I find this to be a little odd in terms of business practices. I would assume a copy of the assessment is like a receipt even though the charge was $0. Everything that I have learned about installing and troubleshooting HVAC systems over the past month I was able to fact check with Bob directly or indirectly. I believe he is an upstanding individual. Having said that, I already knew that he could not do much with our system and I had no expectations of him repairing it but I think a more thorough inspection could have been done as opposed to being focused on what I told him. Common error that happens is "satisfaction of search". Happens to the best of us.

However, only one was thoroughly addressed; the second had indoor and outdoor filters that were never cleaned and were filled with debris and dust. When that unit failed to perform again, it was almost impossible to get All Pro back out. We resorted to working with a different company (for another hefty fee!), whose technician discovered the clogged filters, as well as three leaks that needed addressing. All of this during a horrible, triple digit heatwave. We are the first to compliment companies who do a great job!
