It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

The sales department tells you whatever they feel like in terms of dates...they do not follow up with anything. After paying my deposit they went completely quiet. I was susposed to have a site survey but the only reason I got one scheduled is because I chased the sales person and they literally wrote me back an email that said "there was a glitch in the system". A pathetic line, well after we got blueprints approved by the city...or so I was told they invoiced me for the installation....keep in mind NOTHING was done or installed at this point. Then a different person told me that you actually pay when you get approved. So the "installation cost" is not actually installation cost as it says in their electronic brochure. The sales person also told me when they sent me the contracts which included a date of Sept (I got the contracts in May previous). "don't worry about that date, it is just like a placeholder for the contracts but we will be handling this before that date for sure. And as of last week July 21st then they tell me that my install date will be in OCTOBER! Keep in mind I have ALREADY PAID the installation cost. Bottom line, I do think the company is legit but they are 100% awful when it comes to customer service and Bs'ing people. So the reviews you see about them being REAL lax and not calling anybody back is totally accurate. If you have other options....vet those out and make the best decision for you. Haven is not for everybody....they don't have any clue how to handle their business in any sort of professional manner.

They kept telling me to wait for updates. Every couple weeks and months I would email and get the same message asking me to be patient. They did send a contractor out to inspect the roof but after that there was no update on what came of that inspection. It's been over 7 months since the last communication with them and I just realized my grant deadline is coming up at the end of the month. It seems that this is a constant problem they have - sitting on approved grants until it expires due to their lack to follow up and staffing. Would recommend looking into another provider if you're trying to get the SGIP grant.

The business owner, Rose, was great about helping inform me about the process and honestly answering all of my questions over a number of phone calls. It helped us feel confident that OneSun would attend to any issues before, during, or after the installation.
