Years ago, I was in a position where I dealt with several plumbers, electricians, and repairmen. During that time, I dealt with the full range of quality. It is because of that experience that I am highly selective with whom my wife and I choose for work on our home or the office. I chose Marvin and mc=e3 because of what I read here at Yelp. If you read thoroughly and look for the clues that a review is from the heart (things like casual language and the occasional typo), you can find some amazingly skilled individuals. Marvin is ten-star in a range that caps at 5 stars. He was great with communication, responded very quickly, and diagnosed a challenging issue with our wiring. Our house was built in 1941 and partially remodeled twice since that time. To say it has some patchwork wiring and plumbing would be an understatement. Before his arrival, I had done a minimal amount of diagnosis, and based of where power was going out in our house, the problem was not easy to locate. He analyzed the issue from outlet to junction to panel to our power line feed and found the problem in less than thirty minutes. His experience and expertise saved me time and money. Because he figured it out so fast, it was fixed in an hour. I was expecting a massive bill, because he had to go into some tough places to diagnose the issue. His bill was about half what I had expected to pay. Marvin suggested an upgrade to our electrical panel, and actually shopped to get us a great price on the part (our primary 100 A breaker). He didn't have to do that. Again, he saved us money. He is excellent and experienced at what he does, honest to a fault, great at communications, and just plain easy to work with. I had an EV charger I needed installed so I went through Angi.com. (BTW, when you go through Angi or similar online service be prepared for a deluge of phone calls and emails. FYI, many of the calls show up as Suspected Spam. After evaluating sites and reading reviews, I made estimate arrangements with three (3) contractors. As a single woman it can be intimidating when talking/working with contractors. Whether it's an electrician or a mechanic, sometimes it feels you're at their mercy for time and money. SPOILER: I was pleasantly surprised by Marvin and his company, Mc=e3 Marvin, the owner reached out to me via text after I booked my estimates and already received pricing from two (2) companies. Through Text I explained I needed an EV charger installed inside my garage. It required a 50 amp Breaker with a min of 6g wire. I had already purchased the metal EV/RV Power Outlet Box on Amazon. Since I had everything needed to complete the job, Marvin was able to give me a price (sight unseen) that I knew would not be beat. Mind you this "sight unseen scenario" is unusual. Estimators need to see your electric panel and installation site to give you a complete estimate. After a brief call with Marvin, he answered all my questions and I booked them the next day. Marvin and Eddie arrived late but they let me know in advance and kept me up to date on their arrival progress. I later learned they don't serve my area! Soon as they arrived they were ready to go, no small talk. I showed them the panel and installation site. A glass of water and 2 hours later I had my EV charger installed.
