I love her and you will, too! Also, Danielle from Hair Tech did my makeup and the bridesmaids for my wedding. She is amazing and the makeup was absolutely beautiful. I've struggled for a while about whether or not to write this review. Because they're very kind and…read moresweet, and that may have been the only Positive part of my experience. I visited on March 5, and saw Karen. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted (see below). She argued with me, claiming that my hair "pulls red" (it doesn't-I have well water that has a heavy concentration of iron. I have since installed a filter to avoid this issue moving forward). I asked for platinum, icy blonde. After about 5-10 minutes of "explaining" why it wasn't a good idea (despite the fact that I've had it done 100 times before), she finally relented and said ok. $200+ later, my actual result is posted below. Finally-the cut and style. It was ok. Technically, it was exactly what I asked for, but she took off much more than I had asked her to, and my layers are chunky and choppy, making my hair appear much thinner at the ends than it actually is. If the color had just been a mistake, I would totally understand. But, she argued with me, told me I didn't know what I was doing, and proceeded to do what she thought was best. For the amount of money that I paid, that is totally unacceptable. See the pics. My hair came out DARKER than when I walked in. I'm very, very disappointed.

The first stylist I tried to book with got sick and had to cancel but texted me directly to let me know. So I rebooked and went to Richard. Sorry Nicholas. I was in and taken to the chair promptly, quick wash and ready to go. Richard commented that my hair had a wave to it and I was like "that's just cause it's up in the bun all day" but no - my hair apparently can get a nice wavy curl to it, Richard recommended styling products and methods, talked me through everything he was doing - the length was chosen between us both and meant to make the most of my thin hair and cut was meant to grow out well. He asked me questions about what I liked and didn't like about my hair and definitely was listening. He also chatted me up in the chair - conversation was easy. He had a great welcoming vibe. Price was solid. I definitely will go back - and like I always say I will try and make this more of a habit. But then again, I know myself well enough to know it might be a full year before I'm getting another haircut. But Richard listened when I said I'm terrible at cutting my hair regularly and I feel like I've been well set up with what I left with.
