Shady finance and closing practices! The Dealer contacted…read moreme to purchase a newer vehicle I advertised for sale. We negotiated that sale over the phone without issue as they were going to just pay off the lease. While dropping off that vehicle at the dealership, I found a 2025 pickup on the lot that I was interested in. In negotiation I was going to trade in my 2017 pickup. They offer came to me showing monthly payments. Digging through the math to find out how they got to the payments, I found the trade-in value was $21,500. I turned down the offer to purchase as the trade in was too low. They came back increasing the trade-in to $23,3xx and showing that # on the offer paperwork with the payment options. I agreed and proceeded with the deal. After some time waiting, we completed the pile of paperwork for signing and left. At home I noticed in the final contract they had changed the trade-in back to the $21,500 trade-in value. I inquired with the sales and finance staff about the discrepancy. The Finance person never got back to me on this issue. The salesperson argued that "the $23,3xx was actually the $21,500 plus the tax savings I was getting by trading in the vehicle, which comes to the $23,3xx". I argued that they had told me in word and then showed me on the negotiation paperwork that they were giving me the $23,3xx trade-in! Sales guy repeated his argument above and tried to muddy the water more by adding other arguments. Salesperson never escalated to finance or management to address this issue. I should have spent more time reviewing the paperwork! I thought they were a reputable dealership and could be trusted. I wouldn't do business with them again!

We saved several thousands buying from their closest competitor. The dealership also continues to send automated text messages asking how our experience was. If you want to buy local and don't mind paying more $$ - I would recommend this dealership.

I've spent years buying vehicles from the I-5 Motors group, including Awesome Chevrolet, and giving…read morethem business out of loyalty. We've purchased several rigs, done all our maintenance through them, and even stuck with them after they sold us a lemon. To their credit, they made that one right by letting us exchange the truck. But that was the exception, not the rule, and that goodwill is now gone for good. This last visit sealed it. I walked in, cash in hand, ready to buy again--like I do every couple of years. That used to mean something. Now? It's like I was invisible. The salesman couldn't be bothered, and Brandon, the "manager," acted like I was wasting his time. Apparently, if you're not financing through them (where they can pad your interest rate and milk you in the back office), they don't want your business. And it gets worse. I brought in a rig I bought from them just last year, and they had the audacity to offer me nearly half of what wholesale is worth, a full $25,000 less than what I paid them for it. That's not depreciation. That's straight-up theft in disguise. This isn't just a bad day at a single dealership. This is how the entire I-5 Motors group does business now; disrespectful, dismissive, and dishonest. I decided to keep my trade and walked out. And I won't be walking back in. I'll never spend another dollar with these people, and I'll make damn sure nobody I care about does either. They didn't just lose a sale, they lost a lifelong customer, and a loud one at that.
