I was helped by a nice man, named Mike. There is more than one Mike. I'm talking about the older man who does gorgeous woodwork. Mike listened to what I was looking for, took my requests seriously, and quickly delivered the used truck that was perfect for my needs. It has been two years, and the truck hasn't failed me. After having previously purchased a lemon from another dealer, I practically begged Mike not to be a crook--I know, it sounds weird, but it's true--and he wasn't. He didn't rip me off. I won't say it was a perfect experience. There were a few snags along the way, but it was the Christmas season, and we should all expect some delays during the holidays. The complaint I want to make is for the parts department. They asked if I would be willing to take a used swaybar, and I said yes. What they did not explain is that it would completely fall apart in my mechanic's hands a year later. Trust me when I say that I didn't drive a lot during the first year. It was a simply bad part. Still, I think the business deserves a thumbs up overall. The fact that I was sold a good truck is the most important detail. It will be the last truck I own in this lifetime. I'm happy with it. I don't feel pressured, I like the way they they listen and understand my questions and I don't feel like I'm being fed a bunch of noise. They are very good about keeping in touch without pressure. They DONT do non-refundable deposits like Bud Clary in Longview does. Also it's really nice that they part of 5 dealerships, so there is a vast selection to choose from. The good. They can change oil and do basic mechanical work. The place is clean, the people are friendly. The bad. Do not have them repair brakes. We had to go back twice to have them be "okay". We have since gone elsewhere for brakes. Do not buy tires from them. They do not back the products they sell and the company (Toyo) will not provide support. Expect them to find additional problems with your rig. We think they shorted out the alternator/battery system so now our cost to fix has doubled. And the charge for diagnosing is $200. per hour which they do not absorb into the cost of the total $3000. plus. The service was excellent a couple of years ago but now we're looking into a Honda/Toyota when the time comes. Very disappointing. read more

We recently purchased a vehicle from Awesome Ford. Upon pre purchase inspection we noticed fluids had not been topped off. We noticed oil appeared dirty. As well as oil life had not been reset. We inquired about this and was reassured vehicle had gone through a complete inspection. We purchased the vehicle. A day later we noticed an issue with the radio. We then took it to mazda in olympia to have it looked at. They went through the whole car as we were concerned it had not been inspected or gone through. Mazda got back to us..... they noted and sent us a video listing a bad motor mount, faulty radio, tie rods, bad tie rod ends, missing rodent tape, faulty tpms sensors. Thankfully we had purchased a warranty. Mazda stated that all of this should have been caught on initial inspection. read more

Update: January 2nd, 2024 I was scheduled for another service appointment and this time they were able to complete all of the required recall work within 6.5 hrs... scheduled for Dec 5th, 3 recall items, back on Nov. 4th. Two visual inspections, which I myself have already looked at and a check the part date on wiper motor. Now fast forward to now. About 10 days ago I stop by and speak with service advisor on getting tires put on to kill 2 birds with one stone. I drop the vehicle off at 755 am, I have someone pick me up at 920-truck hasn't moved. Service Advisor calls around 12pm and states tires are complete, vehicle should be done by 4 pm. Guess what, 4pm comes and I'm told nothing has been looked at at all. My truck was there 8 hrs on a scheduled appointment from back on Nov 4th and somehow it's my inconvenience that there were 5-6 1030 appointments scheduled today... Service Advisor said it was backed up today from yesterday. Then call the customers and advise them to reschedule. Now I'm stuck with no recalls completed and was not even promised it would be looked at tomorrow. I get it-dealerships are all about Bottomline profit and don't truly want to deal with recall issues. I was planning on brining in another vehicle for tires, but if this is the normal way of business for Awesome Ford-I may just go elsewhere. And again, the dealership is busy-I get it and might not even care about something like this brought to their attention. Yes, I'm frustrated because I spent a full day no vehicle and still didn't get done what needed to be done. What's the purpose of 125,000 mile warranty and rental vehicle when the dealers want to side step a rental with recall work? Awesome Ford not so awesome this time. If you know you are backed up from previous day, then contact the next days customers and be "Honest" with them up front. read more

My wife is the one who brought the 2022 Escape in for an oil change. As far as the oil change I'm sure it all went well. My concern is, your technician found a nail in her tire, the service writer told her it was not repairable, and she would need to buy four new tires. Even though the car has just over 26,000 mile. She then called me, and explain the situation to me. I had her take the Escape to Les Schwab, they repaired the tire, said nothing needed to be replaced, and she was on her way. After being a customer at your dealerships for both new car purchases, and service. I was surprised and a little dismayed by the service writer, suggesting such an unnecessary repair. My rating would be zero if it was an option, but since one is the lowest rating possible, consider my rating a one! read more

The car market is brutal in 2022! I placed an order for a Mach-e back in June of 2021. I chose to order from a dealer with lower sales tax rate then my home town, which is how I ended up ordering from Awesome Ford. The sales tax was 1.5 percent less then Bellevue. I knew it would be a wait and it truly was, 10 months to be exact. No fault of the dealer, just manufacturing and delays from Ford. In that 10 months, the car market continued to skyrocket but Awesome Ford maintained everything they had promised from my initial purchase. The price (matched to my 2021 purchase price), all rebates and credits, everything was exactly as promised when I went to p/u the car. I had heard horror stories of other dealers and was apprehensive, but they were great! Shout out to Ryan and Paige who were with me from the beginning and always super responsive to text. Went in yesterday because my stereo system in my Ford Fiesta was unresponsive, and I wanted music for my road trip. Went to the Service Department, and Ethan said he could probably get my stereo working. Within two minutes, he had my car blasting with awesome music and noticed that my driver's side door bolt was almost unscrewed!! He asked if he could drive my car to the garage, and he had a mechanic who was already working on a car, come and tighten the screw. Wanted to let y'all know that the service department at Awesome Ford seems to be a great group of people and especially Tella. I was heading down to Oregon to visit friends for the weekend on Friday morning the 18th of September. I had passed by awesome many times and noticed them as I drive an older F-150. On this day I was cruising fine when I got a warning light showing low tire pressure. I pulled off at Roush road and checked my tires and found one at less than 25 psi - put some air in and headed back north to see if they could help. Tella was nice and personable when I came in and explained my situation and that I was late picking up someone at PDX. She was able to get a technician right on looking at the tire and a nail was discovered and started work. They did a great job and got it repaired and got me back on the way with a smile and a wave. I spoke with a salesperson over text and had a good experience of negotiating a price for my trade in over the phone. They agreed to let me come see the car an hour after their closing time which I thought was great. I drove out to see the car that I was looking at trading in for and at first glance it looked great. However, looking closer it had clearly been in a fender bender at some point and had been improperly repaired. I expressed my concern with the team and they got me the car fax right away and I saw that the accident was unreported. The team was very understanding and admitted that it did look like some damage had happened. I think they just didn't notice it when putting the ads up for the car because they were very understanding after seeing it. Overall, I did not buy the car because of the damage but can say that the team at awesome ford came across as very honest. I would recommend this dealership. read more

I work all day and do not have the availability to speak on the phone. Jaime was amazing sent me text messages and sent me a personalized video of the car. Bought a pre owned vehicle from these guys back in august 2022, upon delivery the vehicle reeked of heavy cigarette smoke and was not detailed my daughter found trash and kids toys in the back seat. After driving it for the first time immediately realized it was in desperate need of an alignment and the steering was extremely stiff. Trip 1 to the shop they did an ozone and detail and the power steering pump but they forgot the alignment. Trip 2 for alignment. Couple weeks later while driving with my kids in the vehicle with me turning onto the highway the rack and pinion snapped and we could barely get the vehicle to turn. Trip 3 now in early October, back in shop for rack and pinion replacement. Get it back 10 days or so later and it's driving ok for a few more weeks. Early December new power steering pump starts making a horrible noise back to shop trip 4. Supposedly they replace it after having it again another 12 days. I get vehicle back and the very next morning I start it up and the pump is making the same noise and steering is getting stiff again. Headed back to shop again today January 5, 2023. When spoke to sales management and finance they won't do anything to get us out of this lemon of a vehicle. Good to know this is how they treat disabled veterans and their families! I have bought 2 campers and 2 trucks from this dealership in less than 5 years. The last truck I bought, I purchased extended warranty. In Oct I took it in for 90k service. They did the service handed me my keys, said all good. March my extended warranty expired. May my surpentine belt broke. Had to have it towed to local dealership as I live in Olympia. I didn't realize my extended warranty had expired. I contacted Awesome to learn this but also learned that during my 90 k service they noted my belt was fraying. They never said anything to me. I would have had it and other parts repaired under warranty. I made calls to the service manager and he put me off, in fact made me extremely upset. Playing word games. I then contacted the owner, only to get more b.s and accused me of bad mouthing her dealership to thier competitor. Strange, and not true, she misunderstood, but was clearly angry at me. She said she'd get back to me in 30 minutes, she never did. I figure I have spent a ton of money at this dealership and this is how they treat you. When they accuse the customer, that's pretty bad. They call you family, I don't think so. I will Never go into any of thier dealerships again. The owner owns all the dealerships down there. I'll buy my next Toyota truck somewhere else. read more

We bought a used Ford F150 from a private seller back in May, with the thought of my husband, who is a mechanic, fixing it up for my daughter's graduation from college in June. Feb 13th I brought my 1999 Ford F-250 4X4 Diesel into because of a major oil leak. Another shop had worked on it and charged me a total of nearly $1100 dollars for fixing the leak and replacing my alternator (which I provided the new one). They never fixed the leak. I was losing a gallon of oil every 40 miles. Pretty major leak. Awesome Ford diagnosed the problem and fixed it in two hours for $269 dollars including parts. I was very happy with the work they did. My truck is again running great with no leaks! I recommend taking your Ford to Awesome Ford when it needs repair. They are cheaper in the long run than the fly by night back yard mechanics in this area! read more

I don't even live in Chehalis, yet I have ended up using this place a lot. When I first used them, they were located in a different street and were an RV Repair service. I have to share the story of my first experience with them. I was traveling in my RV on Christmas eve and my tank heaters fell off and were flapping in the wind. I was near Chehalis. I stopped at a couple RV parks and asked for recommendations. Unanimously it was "Uhlmann." So, I went to Uhlmann on CHRISTMAS EVE, they were the only place open. They reattached my tank heaters, didn't charge me a thing. (Should have charged me labor!) I bought some RV supplies as a "thank you." Now they are an RV/Car dealership. They only sell used RV's not new RV's. The first few times I used them were for minor issues and they didn't even charge me for the repairs. I bought some RV parts as a "thank you." (They have a good inventory of RV parts.) I have had so many "free" repairs that I think I felt guilty and my RV would develop problems near Chehalis "on purpose." I have had them do warranty repairs, and repairs I have had to pay for. Good honest folks. read more

We had been new car shopping for some time (years)... Phil Wade at Awesome Ford is wonderful at helping people find new cars! I told Phil what I wanted in a new car (I had done my research) and where my budget was (not to big...LOL!). He helped me, without trying to talk me up into something out of my budget. I can't tell you the number of times we sat stunned after a test drive looking at the final numbers and car payment plan.... all the while some sales person is trying to show us something a little nicer... or... telling us we need a bigger car, not something a HS student drives. Really? How many HS students do you know who can afford a $350-500 a month payment? Phil is down to earth, fun, friendly, patient, and well educated about Ford products. Phil pointed out that my new car had just gone on sale that day! It was fun when they drove it off the show room floor for me to test drive. It only had 22 miles on it! I test drove the car, got a great deal, and then bought it that day! I was able to find some nice accessories with Jack's (great guy!) help in the parts department for my new car. I went to Awesome Ford because I wanted to order a new truck. I should have walked back out because no one said as much as hello when I came in. I was talked into a truck that they had on the lot and ended up trading. I had misgivings about how happy I would be from the beginning because I had a diesel F350 and they were trying to sell me a gas F150. I expressed my concerns several times and finally Brian, in finance, who was handling the paperwork, told us that if we didn't like the truck after taking it home for a few days they would work with us on a return. He mentioned a grace period of five days. Me and my lady both heard him say this and felt a little better about the situation so we moved forward. That was on a Wednesday. We tried reaching out on Friday but Brian wasn't in. The gentleman we spoke to was unable to help so we called Brian on the following Sunday. We decided this was not what we wanted and felt that we had been talked out of our original plan of ordering a new truck and wanted to go back to that plan. Brian told me at this point the process is irreversible. When I repeated this conversation to my lady, she called Brian as well. He immediately became very defensive and rude to her. He basically called her a liar when she reminded him that he had told us he would work with us if this happened. She was attempting to come to some kind of reasonable understanding but he became very unprofessional and it was obvious that he was not interested in communicating sensibly. They had made their sale and that is what was important to Brian. They hurried to finalize the funding instead of waiting, as they implied they would, and then were completely done with us once they had their money. read more

My wife and I recently bought a brand new Winnebago. Our salesman was Mike. Let me tell you, Mike went above and beyond to give us the best customer service. When we talked to him about what we're looking for and what our price was, showed us everything that was in our budget. We also needed to stay in a certain size due to how we have to back It up into our backyard so he never showed us anything bigger. When we found our trailer, we knew exactly that " THAT'S THE ONE " we went to look at Winnebago at the " Fourth of July " cause they had a sale going on at the time. So we had to wait a couple of days afterward to find out if we got it. When we left the Finance lady (Aimee) told us that she will be in contact with us the next business day to notify us if we were approved which did not happen!! She also didn't want to make a deal with us by negotiating the price by even a penny. We had to wait almost 3 days before someone called us. Due to the wait, we were very excited and thinking the worst since we had to wait for a couple of days for an answer. If I'm being honest we were " VERY " disappointed that she didn't keep her word to call us the next business days. Not even the next one. So after the second business day. I called to see what's going on. When they answered, they mentioned that they had a high volume over the 2 day period so she couldn't get a hold of us. I totally understand that sometimes it can get busy since I'm in the sales field as well. So I totally understand. We were really looking forward to that phone call. After a couple of days our second salesman Bobby called us to say we were approved. We were extremely happy. We went on the same day we got the news to sign all paperwork. This time our finance person was Brian. Brian was very nice and had good customer service. We were very happy with Brian. He made the signing processes very quick and fun. He and the finance director dropped the price for us by a good chunk when the lady said there was NO wiggle room. Brian was great. After we signed all paperwork, Mike our salesman texted us congratulating us on our new purchase. He was off that day when we signed the paperwork but Bobby was in so he could be with us. We had to wait a couple of days for our trailer to be prepared to take home. At the end of the week we went to have a walkthrough with Josh. He was very helpful in explaining how everything works. Great guy!! When we drove our new trailer home we ended up with a screw hanging out of our tire. We already had to use our roadside assistance. When I called Awesome RV they gave us a whole new tire. It was very nice of them since we only had it for a couple of hours. It was a very stressful and exciting day. We were happy that everything got taken care of. We were very happy to have Mike as our guy through this whole process. If you are thinking of buying one I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MIKE!!! Overall Awesome RV is a great dealership. "Awesome" Ford was by far the worst dealership experience I've ever had. You didn't bother to clean up the moldy seats in the back properly, all you did was wipe the seat belts a bit to make it seem like you did. And then you claimed that the front bench seat was an "upgrade" when the seat didn't even match the rest of the truck's interior. And the cherry on top was that I needed to sign the contract so that you can just give the truck a dam wash. All this was AFTER we had literally agreed to a price and you knew I was interested in the truck because I kept going back to see it multiple times. All the BS was too much to handle. It felt so good to not give you my money so I went to CarMax (where they actually care about the customer) and bought a F150 for 33k and couldn't be happier. read more

Overall an AWESOME experience. I had been putting off purchasing a new/used vehicle, because of past experience with other dealerships. But boy, was I surprised by the folks at Awesome Ford. I had emailed interest in a Dodge Journey and immediately got a email back with details and asking if it was okay to call and or text. The sales team followed up and we scheduled an appt ( a few days later) and texted the day off the appointment that they had the vehicle ready when I came in. Went in for my oil to be changed on my 01 excursion powerstroke. I told the service guy I just bought the vehicle and wanted to know if there was any issues with it. I waited for an hour and a half! I was told the original service writer left for the day but that he would give me a call to let me know some of the issues they found with my new to me suv. I was charged 140$ for the oil change and a couple plate lights! And I never got a call and still do not know what the whole quote for repairs was going to be. I guess this place doesn't want my money. I will go somewhere else next time thanks. You know the part that pissed me off the most? They didn't even bother to lubricate any of the many zerk fittings on my truck. I could tell because they where still completely crustified with black road grime still. read more

I went to awesome Ford to get my airbags replaced. They replace the airbags I wonder if they're going to function. When I got back to my car the seat was tilted as far back as it could go and move out as far back as It could go. And they may have run the motor just a little bit too long doing this because it didn't ever want to go forward again. Under the passenger airbag they were scraps of paper and other things that had gotten in there over the years no desire to pick them up clean them up I don't know if their vacuum is broken. If I ever need to go to a dealer for dealer service which I haven't in over 260,000 miles. Or replace the Aging 2006 vehicle that I have. It's not going to be at awesome Ford read more

I have a 2018 F-150 XL, basic model with tow package which is what I wanted. Went to the dealer I bought it from a couple months later to get a electric brake controller installed. Basically said they'd have to replace the battery junction box for an extra couple hundred. I felt I was being punished for not buying a higher end model. I called Awesome Ford and the initial quote was quite a bit lower. The service manager was very conscientious in his communication and said nothing would be done until they could look to see what exactly I had and we were all on the same page. The service technician along with everyone there was very friendly and professional.. Bottom line they saved me almost $300. Because of my experience with Awesome Ford and RV, I will having all my service and maintenance done there even though it is 40 miles further away from the dealer I bought my truck. read more

These guys are CROOKS! My wife and I went to trade in our vehicle for a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 they had listed. When we went to test drive the vehicle, the check engine light was on and they assure us that it's just a dead battery as they had to jump the vehicle to get it started. Ok, I buy that and they assure us that it will be taken care of before the sale. We decide to go ahead and buy since the price was right and it had low miles. They wait until we are literally signing the last of the paperwork to tell us that there is a mileage discrepancy. Instead of having 105k, the last reported mileage was 268k! We are about to walk away but they give us a couple more thousand for our trade-in, and it's a Cummins diesel which are known to run forever so we decide to go ahead with the purchase. They put one new battery in (which it's well known with dual battery vehicles that they need to be replaced in pairs), but whatever, I'm just ready to get out of their dealership and be done with these guys. We make it home the 60 miles without issue. Great. Next time I drove the truck (a few days) I made it 10 miles and the check engine light came back on. I was right next to AutoZone and they tell me I need a new alternator. Ok, I'll bite the bullet and spend $150 and some time to get this taken care of once and for all since the dealership only wanted to put a band-aid over the problem (little did I know what a small band-aid it actually was). After a new alternator it's still not charging. This doesn't surprise me though since the wiring harness going to the alternator had multiple cuts/splices. I pull the codes myself and came up with 5 codes that point to major electrical problems. I called to talk to the sales manager to ask what could be done since I have literally driven this vehicle less than 100 miles and now it's essentially dead in my driveway and won't charge (and hasn't been). He tells me that since the vehicle left the lot with "no problems" that they couldn't do anything. Well I'm positive they knew this truck had issues prior to selling it. Their mechanics would have had to at least see the list of codes while they were clearing them the first time and would have known that the truck was just running off the batteries and not charging. Well I knew I'd have to try and fix this myself. I'm sure not taking it back to them to "fix"!! The voltage regulator on these trucks are managed by the ecu which are about $600 to replace. The wiring harness that it really needed was another $800 as well as a few $100+ sensors that were also damaged by faulty wiring. What I ended up having to do is installing an external voltage regulator to basically bypass the ecu (the cheapest way to get this truck charging), then go through the entire engine wiring harness to repair the insane amount of damage there was. The faulty wiring is what fried the charging portion of the ecu and these guys would have HAD to know this truck was only running off battery power. Well I call and talk to the sales manager again to tell him what had to be done to repair the vehicle and he wants me to send a copy of all my receipts and he'll try and pay me for the parts. I thought that was nice of them as I wasn't expecting them to do a thing by this point. After sending them the receipts, I hear nothing back from them until I finally filed a case with the Better Business Bureau. Their reply was that I need to bring the truck in for diagnoses, then they would review what needs to be done and then they MAY take a percentage off the total repair bill! Unbelievable. The truck is fixed. Luckily I'm only out just over $1000 and countless hours of research, frustration and repairing/replacing. I had made an appointment to get a spare chipped key made for a Ford Taurus and have my key fob programmed. After waiting for over an hour, they said they couldn't get their key machine to correctly copy my "worn" key. Their solution was to replace my ignition and door lock cylinders, then cut and program two new keys for $345.They were also unable to get the remote fob to work. I then went to ABC Locksmith in Centralia, where the 77 year old owner was able to cut and program a new original chipped key for $15 less than not so Awesome Ford in less than thirty minutes. BAIT & SWITCH! Tuesday morning I found a car on their website with an internet special price of $13,761. I called in and asked if they could go any lower and the gal asked what they would need to do to earn my business and I told them that if they knocked it down $1700 that I would probably come in that same day and buy it. So she said she would check with the manager and she called me back a few minutes later and said that the manager would go down $1500 so a total price of $12,261. So I told her that we would have to figure out if we could get a babysitter since we have four kids under 9. We found someone to watch the kiddos about half hour drive away and dropped them off. Then went in and talked to the same gal and confirmed the price again just to be sure and she said everything was good as did the sales guy she set me up with. We took out the car for a test drive and loved the car. We were basically on cloud 9 thinking that this was going to be the easiest and best car-buying experience we'd ever had since we had already agreed on a price before we came in. Boy were we wrong! After getting back from the test drive the sales rep had us wait at his desk while he talked to the manager. They were in there for a long time then finally he came out and had us go into the sales manager's office. Once in there, the sales manager then proceeded to tell us that the rebates had changed that morning (keep in mind we negotiated the price just a couple hours earlier and the internet price was still on their website) and that there was a miscommunication about the extra $1500 off but in spite of all this that they were going to help us out with the price. He then asked where we were trying to be at on our monthly payments. We told him that we weren't concerned with the payments, just the total price. When he finally told me the price it was $16,500 but he would drop it down $15,500. That's $3239 higher than the price they promised us over and over! Needless to say, we were outraged. The only miscommunication was them lying to us repeatedly about the price until we were ready to sign the papers. I even talked to the manager on the phone later in the week and he decided to stick with the story that the rebates had ended and that it was a miscommunication not bait & switch even though the way things went down it was the very definition of bait & switch. I have never experienced such shady business practices before. Save yourself a lot of time and stress and STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! read more
