Allen with Encinitas Ford took really good care of me. I had been to four other Ford dealerships and no one else delivered the service that they did. Thank you! read more

I was looking and looking for a Ford Explorer before Labor Day. Went to a few dealerships around my area (LA) and they had the worst salesman on the floor! I told them exactly what I was looking for and they kept showing me different colors, different packages! I also told them what I was looking for in price! I kept getting the runaround by them. Until I went online and found a little dealership called Encinitas Ford. I called them and asked if the vehicle I was looking for was available which they said yes. I spoke to Mary Ann and negotiated the whole deal over the phone! I live in LA which would take me close to 2hrs to get there. When I got there the whole deal took less than an 1hr I had the payment I wanted and the price I was looking for. All the dealers around my area couldn't give that price, saying it was impossible. Encinitas Ford made it happen! JAY GARCIA the salesman on the floor Is the guy to speak with! He is amazing! he knows all the vehicle models on the lot and all the different features. I kept asking him and he kept giving me all the explanations of how stuff works. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience! Encinitas is my go to dealership from now on! Thank you very much hope you see my review! And I forgot some names but everyone was amazing! Thanks again. read more

Encinitas Ford - Car Dealers Near Me - Encinitas, California

Let me tell you how disappointed I am. I am extremely unhappy. I was told by Marianne that I would get a fair offer for my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was in good condition according to Auto Trader on-line questionnaire (KBB.com). I got an Instant offer from Auto-Trader for $966. I realize that is a starting point for negotiation. I went to Encinitas Ford and was low-balled at $700. Their version of the story will be the vehicle was only in fair condition. (This is how they get you). There was no compromise. I wasted 1 1/2 hours of my life driving there and back. If this review helps save time and effort for even one person then there is some justice. I'm sorry I didn't go to Yelp.com first - I see I'm not the only dis-satisfied customer. read more

Encinitas Ford always delivers! They give the best customer service and the best deals! It's family owned and it shows in how everyone makes you feel welcome. Mary Anne Thompson is Mark Wheeler's right hand gal and she went way beyond the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of. She's knowledgeable and so helpful. Frank helped me turn in my leased Fusion (which was a fabulous car) but I wanted to lower my expenses so I bought a C-Max Hybrid.....I was in and out of there in a couple of hours. Great experience. What a smooth ride and I feel so righteous driving a hybrid! Thanks Encinitas Ford for taking such good care of me. read more

There are few things in life that you can really count on. One should be a good Automotive Service and mechanic. For me that's been lately with Encinitas Ford in Encinitas, CA. FIVE STARS to their entire Service Team and especially their Service Manager [Duke]. Very knowledge people and very professional. I will continue to have my vehicle(s) serviced from them in the future. Nicholas M. - Solana Beach, CA read more

My first car buying experience, I was pretty scared of going alone as a young woman. There was absolutely no need for me to worry. I traded in my old car for a fair price and Mark, Dooley and Doug took care of all issues. They found me the perfect car in my price range. They stayed late to help me get the car and to assure it all worked out for me. I've never experienced such excellent customer service and care for a customer. I walked out with a great used car that I couldn't be happier with. I would recommend this dealership. Caring and honest staff. I am so grateful. read more

Had a great experience here. Picked up a cmax. I already know what I wanted when I walked into the dealer. Dave the sales rep took care of everything for me over the phone when I was ready to buy. I was in an out of the dealership in an hour. I will consider buying another car from here in the future. read more

My experience at Encinitas Ford is the way a car-buying experience should be. No cheesy salesman trying to wheel & deal; only very friendly, customer-services-based, professionalism. The entire team from Mary-Ann's super-prompt email response, to Dooley's awesome customer service, knowledge, & friendliness, and Lindsay's thoroughness, follow up and follow through, all together was truly world class. They went way above and beyond for me and even stayed hours after closing to work WITH me and ensure everything was worked out. Thank you team for making this a non-intimidating experience for a girl simply looking to buy a great car. :) read more

Bought a brand new F-150 from the team at Encinitas Ford. This truck is awesome! I feel like I am driving a spaceship compared to my trade-in (2008 Nissan Frontier). I am a Ford guy all the way now. When I drove onto the lot I was greeted with smiles and handshakes. Went straight to the trucks I was interested in, took a test drive while they appraised my trade-in. I liked the first one they showed me so we went to do paperwork. They gave me a great deal on my trade in with no haggles. I was in and out in a couple hours from start to finish. Nice job Encinitas Ford, Dooley, Kevin, Lindsay and Mark, for getting me into the nicest truck I have ever owned. I am so happy. read more

Bought a Ford Escape from Rick Padilla at Encinitas Ford yesterday. The best car buying experience I have ever had. The Escape was advertised way below MSRP. Usually what happens when you go to the dealership to check out an advertised car you"re told it isn't available .Not the case here. Met Rick showed him the add he said yes we have the car I will bring it out so you can test drive. After I test drove he also showed me a used car to give me more options. I decided to purchase the 2017. There was no being held hostage while he ran back and forth to the sales manager. Rick did everything to get out of there as quickly as possible. I feel I got a great deal on the car I wanted. I would highly recommend you go see Rick Padilla at Encinitas Ford your new car you won' be disappointed. read more

I had taken my f250 in twice before for standard oil/filter service..1st time good, 2nd time after picking up my vehicle and driving on highway, my vehicle wouldn't do over 40mph..pulled over on hwy, poems hood noticed a damaged sensor to my air filter, i taped it together, and was able to restore power..called dealer immediately told them my mass air sensor got damaged, they took ownership of issue. Just took my vehicle in because i needed brake pads, and I personally wanted new shocks installed...while checking in my vehicle and getting my gear [wallet, home keys, work clothes, lunch, work computer, etc] their guy hops in my truck ands zooms or away to the back lot? Service person Sandy then says i can't go back there to get my personal items?? I did. She had also told me via phone call they had a rental car for me,but upon arrival denied she said that. I've had an engine light on, that has something to do with diesel exhaust, i asked if that could be addressed. She said i would have to leave vehicle for 3 to 4 days as their mech cannot be nailed down to any set time because his jobs always run over...i said ok, how about we makes appt for...jan? She says same thing, never know when he'll be able to set a time? So, back to my brakes, shocks..she said they can't order replacement shocks for my stock 2014 truck until they're taken off?...during the removal of shocks, mech broke one of the mounts. She called me and said i had a broken mount, and it is 2 days out, i asked about over nighting it, she asked if i was going to cover the over night cost...so while my truck was sitting there waiting for parts, i asked if mech could possibly plug into data port under dashboard for my engine light issue she say no time for that. I received a text [430pm] from sandy on the 4 th afternoon that she was doing my paper work, and my truck was complete with new shocks, one new mount,4new rotors, pads. I got a ride From a coworker to dealership, upon seeing me Sandy's response was ; you don't come to pick up your vehicle until i call you i haven't done your paperwork? I did leave with new shocks, brakes, engine light on, and right turn signal out.. read more

The staff at Encinitas Ford was incredible. They were truly wonderful to work with. Nate, the salesman who hooked me up with an amazing truck was helpful, knowledgable and did not pressure me at all. Kevin from finance had my lease documents ready so quick I couldn't believe it. I would definantly recommend them to someone who is looking for a great car buying experience. read more

My experience with Encinitas Ford was awesome. Buying cars normally sucks in my opinion and I buy cars frequently. Allen was the most attentive sales guy I have ever had and he even helped on his days off. Jeff the manager was awesome as well as he helped us come to a fair agreement on the price of the car. Doug in finance was awesome as well. Low pressure and wanted to make sure I was taken care of with my investment. Would definitely recommend. read more

I had an absolutely horrible experience at Encinitas Ford. I feel like I was ripped off so badly and I do not trust this place anymore. I wanted to get a complete inspection before driving 400 miles to Mammoth. I noticed one day I had an O/D light blinking that went off after an hour so I wanted to get that checked before my trip as well. I spent $800 on mostly preventative maintenance. They did a full inspection and told me everything looked great. I even had my battery serviced so it would last longer. They said they checked my transmission fluid and it looked great. They had found a code for the blinking light and said they checked everything and there were no issues with the transmission. I pick up my car and two days later the batter is completely dead and I need to buy a new battery. I also heard a noise under the hood but thought it was just a noisy belt. Once I got to Mammoth I noticed my transmission slipping. I took my car to mechanic and turns out noise under hood is a Thermostat housing that is leaking coolant. The dealership had replaced my coolant and should have seen this. The transmission slip is due to the transmission being low due to a leak in the radiator. All said and done I need $1200 worth of work which the dealership should have caught in their inspection. I understand things happen, but the worst part is how they have handled the situation. I left a voicemail for my Service Writer and he never called back. I sent an e-mail to the Service Manager saying I wanted to speak with him before I made a Yelp review and he never got back to me. I sent an e-mail to the President and he never got back to me. I understand things could have gotten missed even though I don't think the mechanic even checked them, but there is no excuse for not addressing a customer's concerns. I will never give this place my business again. I am also considering buying another Explorer and will definitely not buy from Encinitas Ford. read more

My husband and I recently bought a 2018 Explorer from Encinitas Ford. Our salesman Allen went above and beyond, helping us get exactly what we wanted at a great price. He patiently explained all of the features and answered all of our questions. He is exceptionally knowledgable and personable. This is the second car Allen has sold us in the past 6 months, and the fifth car we have purchased from Encinitas Ford. I would also like to mention the great service we received from Derek in finance, and John in the service department. Thank you all for another great car buying experience! Susan H. read more

I recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Ford for my daughter from Encinitas Ford. It is her first car and on the way to the dealership I warned her of what the sales experience is like when you buy a car. What a surprise we got at Encinitas Ford. The sales rep, Allen K, was very enjoyable to work with. He answered all of our questions honestly, asked us good questions about our needs and we never felt like we were in a high pressure sales environment. Everyone we interacted with at Encinitas Ford was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this dealership if you are in the market for a new or used car. Don't be scared off by their small dealership appearance. They may not have the big fancy show room, but they more than make up for it with their courtesy. read more

After scouring the state for a particular used truck with a rare combination of color and options I found it online in Encinitas Ford's inventory. My search had brought me in contact with a handful of "used car salesmen" in the worst sense of the word and I braced myself to do battle as I called and asked for the internet manager. A very nice lady by the name of Marianne told me about the truck they had with no rush to get me off the phone answering my myriad of questions and we struck a tentative deal right on the phone. 'Sounded good so I headed down the next day. When I arrived Marianne introduced me to Frank who showed me the truck and sent me off on an unaccompanied test drive. Next on to Doug the credit manager to write up the contract. Easy peasy! All three 'ZERO pushy and got a great deal to boot. Many dealerships tout themselves as family owned but this was the real thing. Give them a try! read more

Yesterday I purchased a new SUV from Encinitas Ford, and just like before, it was a great car buying experience. It was my 4th purchase from them and the 8th overall for my family. I had my 2 very young children with me and several salespeople and employees came over to help and offer coloring books, stickers, etc. My 2 year old greatly appreciated them and so did I. Been looking for a new car to replace an older model Ford Flex for several weeks. Was quickly reminded how painful and experience car buying can be. After several frustrating interactions with several dealerships in North County San Diego, I was fortunate enough to connect with Marianne at Encinitas Ford. She helped us identify the right car for our needs. When we came in to the lot, we were met by Allen Kessler, who did an amazing job of answering our questions and finalizing the deal. We've never had such a smooth, easy experience purchasing a vehicle. I can not recommend Encinitas Ford enough. If you go there, be sure to ask for Allen. He is the best and He'll take great care of you. Thanks, Encinitas Ford! read more

Oh man. I'm really hoping the service they provide to my car later will be better than the service I received from Cassie in service on the phone. Yikes. My husband called earlier to schedule my car. We had looked up recalls on my vehicle beforehand. He brought that up when scheduling the appointment but he didn't quite understand what she was talking about. So, I called to directly talk to them to get an understanding about the recall on my vehicle. Firstly, she was very rude. When I was explaining to her why I was calling, she cut me off in the middle of my sentence asking for a name. When I gave it to her, she rudely said "You mean LAST name" when in fact my first name is Murphy which i stated. Then I gave her my last name and she very rudely said "I already talked with Brett when he called. He explained everything to me already and like I told him it is not a recall." Jeesh. Pardon me for trying to ask her to do her job (what I assumed she is being paid for anyway) by giving me information that my husband didn't quite understand. And from the sounds of it she was less than pleasant in how she treated him too. On the bright side the man who answered the phone initially at the front was super kind and HELPFUL. I'm unsure of his name but maybe he could give Cassie some pointers on how to treat a customer. Will update later on when my car is actually inspected. *UPDATE* They definitely did provide better service to my car! Rigo is the man to go to if you need your vehicle serviced! He was such a genuine man. He checked our car in and took all of the information. They were super busy and he never made us feel rushed. He kept me updated the entire time. I was a little worried/disappointed because it was right before thanksgiving and then into the Friday after thanksgiving but his team diagnosed the issue and got it fixed. He called me to express how sorry he was that they didn't find the issue the first day. He kept me posted on what they found and when to expect my vehicle back. It was under a recall of some sort and they got it all taken care of! I was super thankful to have my vehicle back. I would give a five star review because of Rigo and the service they provided , however Cassie was a little too rude for customer service. I'm not sure if she was having an off day or what. read more
