Located right along the 101 in Downtown Encinitas, there's a cute, open market. There were around 20-25 vendors selling clothes, jewelry, health food and more. My sister found a couple shirts from the various vendors and I got a permanent bracelet from Hara Jewels. I was torn between the permanent bracelet and the charm bracelets she has, but I'll definitely be coming back for one of those bracelets. Everyone was friendly and open to negotiating on prices (when it came to the clothes). They are open Saturday's and Sunday's until 4pm! read more

Seaside Bazar is an outdoor marketplace consisting of multiple vendors selling artsy goods and items such as tapestries, vegan purses, tie died products and crystals. With a range of goods from local handcrafted items to vintage and imports, Seaside Bazar attracts a diverse crowd. At this location you will undoubtedly encounter plenty of hippies, spiritual people, stoners, and mind body enthusiasts of every ethnicity and gender. I stopped by with two of my friends on Sunday and someone said that she had never been in the bazaar yet had noticed it for years. My other friend chimed in with, "I do not need a dreamcatcher or crochet plant holder". It is a great place to people watch, and I find it ironic that someone has built a giant art project featuring a surfing Buddha made entirely of trash, given that many of the products sold there are going to end up there. The symbolism of Encinitas culture is hard to ignore with Paramahansa Yogananda's Ashram Center and Meditation Gardens perched above one of the greatest surfing spots in the world. read more

We had a really wonderful time shopping this market. our group found lots of vintage gems and prices were reasonable. we would, however, recommend avoiding Hara Jewlers. Tess, the owner is rude and disorganized. We waited 40 minutes for a pieces to be put together (despite her sharing that it would take 15 minutes). We watched her continue to service new customers who were all getting permanent jewelry (a higher price/profit for her than our piece), while we waited. When we politely asked about how much longer it would take, she said another 10-15 minutes in such a rude and dismissive way. When we returned 20 minutes later, our piece still sat untouched. She continued to do permanent jewelry and service new customers. Had we not already paid for our piece, we would have left. When she finally got to our piece, it took her all of 5 minutes to put it together. She curtly thanked us for waiting - 40 MINUTES. Never offered an apology, never offered any way to make the experience better. Just a totally rude and disappointing experience that put a damper on the market. read more

Seaside Bazaar is one of those places you always drive past but there's never available parking up front so you just keep on going. True to its name, it's set up like an middle eastern bazaar with tents, camels, and jars of succulent olives and luscious dates. A snake charmer was playing sweet child o' mine on his pungi. Okay, no camels and olives, and no snake charmer. But there were hippie vendors under canopies. Is calling someone a hippie even politically correct these days? If you're looking for loose fitting and comfortable attire there are several vendors here that specialize in that. Note that Seaside Bazaar is worth a walk through because everyone has a friend that's into this stuff. - Bazaar is a fancy word for "expensive flea market". - The Bazaar seems to be geared toward the health / spiritual tourist crowd ( i.e. Disposable income) read more

Ah the Seaside Bazaar - On my bucket list since moving to SD. Decided my birthday weekend would be a great time to do it, so off we went! As people do say, the size fluctuates depending on weather/time of year/ etc. As another vendor there told me, Saturdays tend to be larger, so I would first suggest to go on Saturday as opposed to Sundays (we went on Sunday, AND in Winter - and it was kind of rainy that morning, needless to say it was a small turn out.) However, it was very nice the vendors that were there, very unique and original. Bonus that the downtown Encinitas strip is right next door, so you can walk around and enjoy the novel boutiques and restaurants near by! Bonus bonus, you can walk a couple blocks to Moonlight Beach! Gorgeous beach and wonderful way to end the day! I'll be back - On a sunny Saturday my next go around! read more

The bazaar is starting to pick up again! I remember when it was packed years ago and it has been dry for a while (I think bc of covid) but I drive past often and more and more unique vendors are popping up. They put a lot of the vintage clothing vendors by the front entrance and along the perimeter so it's hard to see what else is there but I walked in last Saturday and got a ton of good stuff. Candles, bath and body, accessories, and some one of a kind gifts and gift sets. Support the locals and go shop there! read more

Encinitas Seaside Bazaar is one of the most popular open air flea markets in all of San Diego. With a European flair and free parking and admission, you really can't go wrong here even if you just want to browse. You can find a plethora of unique items from around the world to hippie-style T-Shirts. There are usually over 50 merchants here with my favorite being the French linen booth..see photos. It reminds me of the high-end markets held in parking lots in NYC where imports rule and are less expensive than the shops. Too hippie for my taste, like incense-colorful huge cotton Indian pants-flower power hippie. This is not your usual farmers markets set of cool, modern stands filled with modern looking jewelry. I am sure you go 10 or 20 years back in time and you would have find the same kind of clothing and patchouli smell feel to it. The best is the live music on Sundays. The only stand that caught my attention this last time I visited was someone making mini succulent gardens in some sea shells. In some other stands you could see painted rocks for $20...I mean...way too much. read more

A place that you should try at least once. Really cute to walk around, the weather is almost always pleasant considering you're in Encinitas (and near the water, too!). After a while, though, a lot of the stuff is the same and it's nothing new. I don't really go here too often since most of the items are the same as they were six months ago (like someone mentioned here). If you're into artsy knick-knacks, crafty novelties, hippy clothing, and woo-woo items (lol), then you'll definitely feel at home here. There are some cheap bazaar type stuff, like wallets and sunglasses...kinda reminds me of things I'd find at a swap meet or college fair that I used to frequent back in the day. read more

Outdoor bazaars are fun, if you're in the mood. Things tend to be overpriced--bargaining is always an option, if you're good at that sort of thing--and the crowds can get annoying, but being out in the sunshine is nice. Local acoustic acts usually play at Seaside on the weekends; that makes the whole experience a little more enjoyable. read more

This is a small open air market--probably 25 - 30 booths. It's got a definite hippy vibe: incense, string bracelets, tie-dye tee shirts, silver jewelry, Asian inspired jackets. I bought a beautiful windchime from one of the vendors last year and still love it. It's got a lot of sparkle from cut glass and a very nice sound. More recently I bought a tie dyed jacket with blanket stitch detail for my best friend. She loved it because it was unusual--not something you're going to find at Nordstrom or Old Navy. On finding out it was for my friend's birthday, the vendor generously tossed in a box of incense. I wasn't amped about the incense, but my friend's daughter loved it. I wouldn't make the drive just to go to this market but if you like The Camp or The Lab in Costa Mesa, you'll enjoy the Seaside Bazaar. Recommend read more

I must have hit this place on a bad day. It did rain the day before, and rain does tend to scare So Cal folks. It was pretty low key with only a few vendors, a few selling furniture, skateboards, silvery jewelery, organic clothes and some artsy stuff. Wow, I did not know that there were reviews for this little bazaar. I havent been in a while but when I do find myself cruising up the 101 I will stop in. Its almost at the intersection where Encinitas Blvd is and very close to Moonlight Beach. Its like a swap meet with fancier stuff, and a lot of it is home made items for the house or even jewelry . It is pretty small though. Just dont expect to find vinyl albums, sunglasses, infomercial products or any of the other tacky things that you would find at Kobeys Swap Meet. Be aware that some items here are on the pricey side but you have to pay for quality. read more

Right along the 101 in downtown Encinitas, this is a small open market filled with about 20 vendors in tents selling stuff like hats, jewelry, soaps/fragrances, flowy hippie clothing, succulents. It's mostly geared towards women, which is fine, it just was not of interest to me. They had a food truck when we visited. It's worth peeking in if you are already walking around Encinitas as a tourist. As a local, I'm not sure what the draw would be. read more

It was smaller than I expected....but some of the artisans there said the size of the market fluctuates depending on the season, the weather, where in the art/craft faire schedule people are in. Reasonably priced artsy stuff. I bought a fun, funky hair ornament that wraps your hair up and has a really good skewering pin to hold it in place. A really fun dog shop where you can get uvb protection sun glasses for the pampered pooch. Fun artisan and new-age crystals and jewelry. Very fun, and afterwards you can stroll down the main drag and look at all the other fun shops Encinitas has. Something I really enjoy when I go down to San Diego County, is cruising down Highway 101, cool ocean air circulating through my lungs, and neat little beachtowns lining the path. Seaside Bazaar appears along the journey in Encinitas, as a higher end flea market with great taste. You can't always really shop for bargains here, but you can find hand crafted, often one of a kind items with the artists personally selling their merchandise.
