My original appointment was cancelled by the dentist during the covid-19 issue back in March which was fine. I didn't require any immediate care so I knew that we would re-schedule when it was safe to do so. They called back in May to re-schedule my appointment for the end of the month so I picked a time that I THOUGHT would be a good time to break away from work to get this done. What I needed done would not allow me to talk on the phone for the rest of the day btw and that is how I conduct business at the moment. After calling to cancel my appointment and apologizing for the late cancellation, the receptionist let me know that I would have a $75 fee added on to any future appointments. I let them know that I would be finding a new dentist. I find it extremely unprofessional to charge a fee to a patient for two reasons: 1. Covid has changed the way that EVERYONE does business and people aren't always aware of how they will be conducting business from one day to another. A little leniency would be expected in this current climate. 2. Since when did patients have to use one specific dentist to where a $75 fee would be commonplace and accepted by anyone. I am under no obligation to only use this dentist and I am in fact a CUSTOMER of theirs, not the other way around. Either way, I won't be using this dentist in the future since they operate under the impression that I owe them anything at any point aside from services rendered.

I needed a deep gum cleaning, a debridement, which is pretty intense. They gave me gas which I barely felt. They numbed me with an old school needle that hurt and I had a racing heart for the rest of the afternoon, which could mean the needle missed the proper spot. The debridement was incredibly painful, he just scraped and scraped and I barely felt numb. It was agony. Anyway, long story short. I didn't like my experience and went to a different dentist for further procedures. They took their own X-rays of my mouth and recommended a debridement. When I told them I had one already done, they showed me areas throughout my mouth where there were still issues. They said that whoever did the procedure had no idea what they were doing and completely botched everything. Now, I'm having to do it all over again and pay for it all over again. Luckily, they use modern procedures for numbing and cleaning my gums, which has made a night and day difference. This place should be shut down for a lack of knowledge and dangerous, outdated practices.

I emailed them right when they opened the next morning and I got a call not even 10mins later. I came in feeling really self conscious about my smile but was greeted very nicely by a super cute dog they had The lady at the Front Desk was super nice too! All in all, i felt very welcomed and cared for. The procedure went smoothly. Everyone seemed professional and knew what they were doing. Plus they did an amazing job on my tooth! I underwent a full-mouth restoration, including upper and lower dentures and multiple extractions, at a cost of approximately $20,000. At the time, I believed I was beginning a process that would be supported through completion, with the goal of restoring my smile and quality of life. Nearly three years later, I am deeply disappointed to say that consistent follow-up and clear guidance toward completion have not occurred. This has been not only frustrating, but disheartening--especially given the importance of this type of treatment. I also experienced a significant difference between the initial estimate and the final amount requested, which was not clearly explained in advance. When I raised my concerns with the office, I did not feel that they were handled with the level of care, understanding, or accountability I had hoped for as a patient. At 70 years old, this has been a difficult experience, and I would not want others--especially those facing major dental procedures--to go through something similar. I strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, and fully understand the long-term plan before proceeding. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

Six years later I am still getting a bill; and changed the date of my last appointment to make it seem more recent. I had already gone to a different dentist. The dentist is great; but the accounting system is not accurate. Also they never transferred my dental records to the new dental office, even when requested several times. Phone calls never received. After six years they are still sending a bill for charges that they did not submit to insurance. My records with insurance does not show that the claim was submitted.

Dr. Powers takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains easily what needs to be done. Don't let the hammer fool you. His gently technique is above and beyond any other dentist I've been to. On major treatments he calls you later to see how your doing. To me that's a plus. When it was time for new dentures he took the time to be sure everything lined up, size of teeth, color and match with the bottom teeth. I can't imagine going to any other dentist. I highly recommend this practice.

He refused to return phone calls and I eventually filed a complaint against him with the Board of Dental Examiners. The Assistant Attorney General who was prosecuting the complaint told me that his license had been revoked because of numerous complaints against him. I am appalled that the State of Colorado has continued to let him practice dentistry. Twenty plus years later I am still spending money to correct mistakes made by Dr. Kuljis.

I rue the day I agreed to let the goodly dentist agree to fix my teeth. I had a bite issue from…read morepoorly made crowns from a previous dentist. I just needed a small touch up from one that was a bit too low. He Guaranteed me that he could fix my bite. $3000 for a $150 bite guard that I was to wear for far too long to "get my jaw right". It was never not right, just a tooth a little too low. After that, instead of raising the one lower tooth, he took a dremel and ground my others down, making them sharp as razors so they constantly cut my tongue, and after too many visits to get it "right"--or even close to that, I gave up and cut my losses. I've filed them down myself with a nail file to prevent a ravaged tongue. And that was an additional $3000--$6000 up front for the whole deal--cash out of pocket. That was a couple grand more than the original 5 crowns to begin with. Not one day has gone by that I am not in pain and it has been years. I've been to 4 other dentists and none of them want to touch the problem now. I can no longer chew like one should, so many foods are taboo and most aren't chewed well, creating more problems. No grinding, like for salad. I can't even put my teeth together unless there is food to fill in the rough terrain. Like gravel on gravel. My only real mistake--going there in the first place. Nice guy--certainly. Occlusal specialist--not even close. I've few regrets in life--but this tops the list. I could drone on, but I needed to put this to rest here.
