I do take very good care of my teeth (because I do anything to avoid dentists in general), and even though I've been there 4 times total, they welcome me like they saw me last week. And now I have an extra balance with Lowry that should be covered by insurance. I went around-and-around with my insurance and Lowry Main Street Dental for months and Lowry basically told me I'm screwed and they won't do anything to rectify the situation - they refused to bill my insurance in a manner that makes it clear that the charges were not duplicates. And when I explain this to the receptionist (man), he was rather snotty and said they won't adjust their processes "just because I want them to"...like this is all just my idea, not what insurance has instructed me to tell them. It's pretty sad when the insurance company is trying to work with you and the dentist office is not. Done with this place. Lawrence (hygienist) is the only redeeming aspect of this place. Be warned.

These private equity DSOs are fleecing organizations. They push over-treatment, unnecessary treatment and monthly profit goals on their offices. I always got the best care at Lowry and the staff really do care, but I will not be a cash cow for corporate greed. My bi-annual cleaning became quarterly and each time I went in my gums (reportedly) were actually getting worse. I feel now that they were pressured to get me in more and get more procedures on me. They did a very professional job and are very talented. I definitely would have continued to go there but I no longer trust them or feel they have my best interests at heart. It took a long time to both seek and to find someone I trust with regards to competency and ethics. Enter Dayton Dental. One visit told me I'd found a home. They were patient and understanding with regards to my teeth and my issues with prior practitioners. I felt welcome, not judged, pressured, or hurried. Their advice was on point. The dental assistants impressed me with their knowledge, too. Even better? Not a word of upselling. In addition, their rate for the extraction I need was over $100 less than another practice I visited. Small practices often lack the flashy tech of larger or private equity-owned profit centers. However, smaller practices often feature dentists who have the time and flexibility to ensure personalized care at a reasonable price and build a solid patient-provider relationship over time. l go with that.
