They really do care about my teeth!! And I feel like I've built a good relationship with them throughout the years.

My review is based on the filling I received in the office. The place is clean and the hygienist Thuy is efficient and quick and pays attention to your comfort. I went for a routine cleaning and was told that I had a cavity, I mean I have been going to this dentist for 2 years and now they are telling me I have a cavity? I did not have any teeth problem before this procedure. Now, the filling was done in my wisdom tooth, which again I have never had any trouble with before in my 51 years. The doctor drilled and filled and I went home. My teeth were sensitive but I thought it would go away. It did not. I went back to the clinic because I could not use the left side of my mouth at all. For some reason I got scolded and told how to chew my food by the doctor, they took an xray and lo and behold the filling was too far in. They did 'bite correction', more grinding and sanding and I was sent home. 2 months later, and I still cannot use the left side for chewing at all. SO not only I have super sensitivity in my tooth, I was made to feel like a dumb person who did not know how things were 'done in this country'. Now the only option I have is getting that tooth extracted. I lost my job and have no insurance anymore, so I cannot go and get the procedure done. We will not go back to this office due to a bill coming to us after two or three years later and I believe it's because we stopped seeing the provider. Provider never sent me detailed information as far as procedure and who the patient was. I paid the bill over the phone and was asked to send information and was only sent to receipt of me paying it. The only reason I paid the bill is I pay all my bills and I did not want to go to collections. Way too much stress. read more

Tower Dental great. The dentists and staff are professional and knowledgeable. It had been a while since I had been to the dentist so I went in for a cleaning, turns out I had to get a wisdom tooth removed and a crown. I was hesitant at first because I had never had any major dental work besides braces when I was a kid, but I had been in a little pain so I went ahead. The pulling of the wisdom tooth was smooth and painless and the crown that I got a few weeks later also went smoothly. My teeth now feel great. Highly recommended dental office. read more

Though I live in New York City, I have come to Tower Dental multiple times when visiting my parents in Colorado. Have gotten major work done here even when doing so in NYC would have been more convenient. Dr. Oltean exudes competence and is very honest and matter of fact, which inspires trust. I'm someone who likes to be armed with all the information possible, and they make sure to share any knowledge they have, so you can make an informed decision. I never felt like I was being upsold anything. Most importantly, they seem to genuinely care and believe in what they do. I called the office to get the doctor's thoughts, at his convenience, on a treatment recommended to me by a dentist here. He got on the phone the same day, and spent 15 minutes discussing it with me and looking at my chart. Tracy the receptionist is fabulous and clearly loves what she does - she goes the extra mile to help with billing and insurance, and making sure you get a convenient appointment time. Saydi as a dental assistant is very skilled and friendly. Their equipment is state of the art, and have not had to wait long to be seen. read more

My mother in law went there today for her second visit. She will NOT be going back. When we moved Esther here from California in June of 2019, we immediately got her set up with a dentist. Because she only had medicaid at that point, our options were limited. She was told at that point she needed teeth pulled and a deep cleaning. By the time the dental office finally received the preauth for the deeo cleaning, her insurance had switched to Original Medicare primary and medicaid secondary. When she told the front desk this, she was rudely told she can't be helped because they don't accept medicare. Well recently, mom had a fall and loosened a couple of her teeth. She called her insurance and was told that because medicaid is secondary, that she will still be covered so she made an appointment. My husband took her to this office. They had done a preauthorization in 2019 for the cleaning. Mom called the office 3 times before today's appointment to double check that they had everything they needed and that it was covered under her insurance. She was told all 3 times that everything was good to go. Well, apparently that wasn't the case. The preauthorization had expired. The dentist was very condescending to her. Kept asking why she was just now getting in. Kept asking if she got the letter with the preauth. Over and over. Then tried telling her that she does not need teeth pulled (even though it was he who told her that in the first place.) Then proceeded to try telling her that her surgeon would have to reschedule her knee replacement surgery that is taking place in less than 2 weeks, because of the gum disease and infection risk. Yeah, we weren't there for that, nor did the orthopedic surgeon say he needed that. Just from her cardiologist and PCP. He kept talking down to her. Now, my mother in law is mentally ill. He was so rude to her and kept talking down to her and talking over her and interrupting her, that she was completely frazzled and shaken after that. Not sure how they treat the mentally illor ghe elderly in his home country, but that is completely unacceptable. I am a Director in the Medical field and have been for almost 20 years. If one of the doctors that work for me, spoke to one of my patients like that, I would fire them without hesitation. Needless to say, not my mother in law nor any other member of my family will be seeing that dentist, but I will also be making a board complaint and posting this review on all other sites. read more

Upon arrival I was greeted by Tracy the receptionist. She was very nice and up front with what my benefits covered. After filling out the paperwork I was seen promptly by the woman who polished my teeth. After my teeth were cleaned I had to wait several minutes to see the actual dentist (writing this review as I'm waiting). I really don't like going to the dentist. Who does, right? The people at tower dental made the experience as pleasant as could be from start to finish. They booked me an appointment for just two days after I called! No waiting or forgetting. I got texted a reminder for my appointment too. The office is clean, relaxed, conveniently located. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and they even hooked me up with some coffee since it was 7am. Early hours are a plus for me. They took good care of me in the chair, explained everything as they went, and offered me price estimates for future work, making sure it could fit into my budget. As long as I'm in the metropolitan area, Dr. O. is the only dentist that I will have. He is trustworthy, and has proven that. I am not going to lie...I HATE the dentist. I needed to make an appointment, and I hadn't been in a while, so after checking yelp reviews I decided I would give these guys a shot. I'm glad I did! Dentist and dental hygienist staff is AMAZING, however - there was a 'check on my insurance' before proceeding in September. I still haven't heard back from them. I wish I could say this was the first time, but the second was over a year and then found out I owed them money. HORRIBLE at follow up with the office management staff. If I wanted to chase down my dentist I guess I wouldn't mind. Terrible thing too, since everyone is friendly, the Dentist is fantastic - office management is the worst I've ever been exposed to, and that's saying quite a bit. DO NOT go to this dentist unless you're willing to follow up on EVERYTHING regarding insurance and appointments yourself, I am not, I have better things to do with my time than do the job of the office manager/receptionist for them. I think Dr. OLTEAN is fabulous, but due to the absolutely absent scheduling and insurance research I am going to change dentists. I have been coming to Tower Dental for about 5 years. The office is very clean, the staff is beyond helpful (Tracy is a treasure!), and the dentist is excellent. All your options and charges are clearly laid out and you never feel like you are being pressured into unnecessary services. They have convenient hours and are easy to find and park. My only suggestion would be to put some TVs in the treatment rooms so you have something to look at while your teeth are being cleaned :) read more

I'm the type that can't even think about the dentist without getting nervous. I needed to find a new dentist as I had some extensive work to be done. I read the reviews and gave tower dental a shot. Right away Tracy drew me in with her friendly personality. I was also happy to discover the hygienists are cheerful and chatty and they included me in their discussions thus taking my mind off the dental work. There is great music playing in the background ( not elevator music ). Dr Oltean is a funny guy he talks to his employees like they are actual people and has helped put my fears to rest. All the procedures I've had done have been good experiences. The office is always clean and welcoming. The best dentist I've been to in this area. The staff is great, especially at making sure you know what your insurance covers. Dr Oltean knows what he's doing. He picked out my cavities and told me which ones needed filling the soonest, to best match my coverage. Which is delta dental. The worst part for me is the numbing shots, and I barely felt them. They were very good with the suction, some places let you drown. I don't ever look forward to going to the dentist, but going here, I know the work will be done right and might keep me away just a little longer. read more
