Their online interface also allowed me to input my insurance information ahead of time so I already knew they took my insurance. I needed to get a lot of work done but I truly appreciated Dr. O'brien's professionalism. She never once made me feel guilty about not seeing a dentist in so long and she didn't make me feel ashamed of the work I inevitably needed to get done. Dr. O'brien was also very cognizant of my comfort. When I felt pain, she stopped immediately to administer more numbing so that I would be as comfortable as possible during my procedures. The office staff were also extremely kind and fun. They walked me through every little thing: my insurance, cost, what I owed. They were able to quickly accommodate my schedule and I was able to get all of my fillings done within a week of my initial appointment. This was over a decade ago and after looking for a new dentist recently, I decided to go back since my first experiences were so wonderful. One of the best things about this type of dental office it's very affordable with transparent pricing and payment options. I believe even during the holidays and end of year they have a promotion where you can get your braces for $2800 which included a retainer. They also do significant discounts. I believe up to 30% if you pay in full for your service, especially if you don't have dental insurance. The other benefit is that They are very friendly, and all of their staff explains everything really well. My only suggestion is that they allow their patients to be able to book their six month appointments in advance instead of only one month out of when it's due. It's always difficult to schedule reminders to call a month in advance to get an appointment since they only schedule appointments one month out. The space is always inviting, clean and also equipped with the newest technology. The quality of the dental work is always really wonderful and I always appreciate when the dental hygienist and the dentist both explain the cleaning process, recommendations for improvements and suggestions for dental care at my last cleaning earlier in 2025 I received a retainer to help with teeth grinding and it was way more affordable than what I was quoted at a previous dental office in Aurora. It took a long time to both seek and to find someone I trust with regards to competency and ethics. Enter Dayton Dental. One visit told me I'd found a home. They were patient and understanding with regards to my teeth and my issues with prior practitioners. I felt welcome, not judged, pressured, or hurried. Their advice was on point. The dental assistants impressed me with their knowledge, too. Even better? Not a word of upselling. In addition, their rate for the extraction I need was over $100 less than another practice I visited. Small practices often lack the flashy tech of larger or private equity-owned profit centers. However, smaller practices often feature dentists who have the time and flexibility to ensure personalized care at a reasonable price and build a solid patient-provider relationship over time. l go with that.
