Not the same dental office it used to be. Under new ownership and it's obvious. The worst dental experience I've ever had. I was shook by it. I had the most excruciating cleaning experience ever. I also had three wisdom teeth pulled that same day. I was awake during the extraction. It took about an hour to have them all pulled. During my follow up visit I walked out during my appointment frustrated by the overall lack of professionalism, poor experience, disregard for my time and poor communication. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Anyway, I no longer recommend this dental office. read more

Great office. Went in for an annual check up and other future services. The staff there is really accommodating. Provided me some estimates on what they recommend and no pressure to get them done. Also very clean and well maintained facility. They work with you on your insurance and ensure that it's acceptable even prior to getting to your appointment. read more

I wouldn't say my experience was particularly bad it just wasn't good. I did all the new patient paperwork before the visit. When I was arrived I was greeted and given a COVID form to fill out which took just a moment. Then I waited in the waiting room for 15 minutes to be called. Pretty standard. I was called by a technician who was pretty curt, no warm or friendly. She seemed lost for the majority of the visit as she fumbled with equipment. Shen even seemed confused about which room I would be in for a moment. She never called me by my name or tried to have friendly conversation. She just game me directions. What I didn't like was that when I did the pano X-ray she didn't use or have Gloves on when she put the plastic bag/shield on it. She didn't confirm that I was situated correctly. I had to tell her that the machine was too high while trying to hold the plastic piece in my mouth. She dismissed my concerns about the bite wing xrays and was just like "see it's fine". Sure, painful, but we got a picture. From there every interaction remained very distant and quiet. She made no attempts for small talk and never called me by my name. She asked who put in my crown but no context behind the question- which worried me. But again- no Information -no conversation - just quiet. The dentist Must have been running late, she came by to tell me she would be right with me, but again - didn't use my name or anything. For someone talking at me from behind me, I didn't even realize she was talking to me. After an hour I was finally "seen" by the dentist who only looked at the X-rays and looked at my mouth for a brief minute before giving me a course of treatment. At this point I didn't feel comfortable staying there or resuming a course of treatment at that facility. After that I was ready to go. I will be going back to my old dentist located inconveniently across town. read more

My first experience with then was ok. I worked with Dr. Anna who likes to talk about herself but gave a good relaxed energy. After realizing what I do now. They probably were in it for the money.. or was either lazy or unintelligent. There is no good excuse really. Dr. Anna said I needed 2 root canals. One of the teeth had a line in the X-ray. She could not figure out if it was a fracture or not. (This should of been a red flag) because then she says the guy doing my root canal will see if its a fracture when he begins the root canal. So i ago ahead with the root canals, he didn't say anything or really seemed to care about the possible fracture. He was not personable at all. So fast forward, my tooth was hurting and really sensitive, (I couldn't even brush it) so they adjusted my bite the most they possibly could. When that didn't help then the root canal just needed to heal.... Well a year later, there is a foot trap and pain that has persisted. So i went in trying to just get it pulled. I saw some guy that told me not to jump to pulling but to see a specialist to find out whats going on.. (just more $$$). I was so annoyed so went to comfort dental. In a matter of seconds the doctor numbs me up and finds the fracture with just a tool. No fancy machines or X-rays. And pulled the tooth because there was a fracture! The amount of money wasted on a crown and root canal and just simply not caring at all about getting to the bottom of my pain was so disappointing. read more

They have a pretty girl that sits you down and tells you one thing and you show up for the one day dental work and they say oh we can only do the bottom you have to come back after you pay your loan down to get the rest. I told them never mind then they call me back on the day of my appointment and tell me to bring 4.000 cash and they can to both. Switch and bait. OMG, Very professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and clean. Dr. L Khmil as well as Inga explained everything before performing the task. I was scared but they calmed me down a lot. I was comfortable during the procedure. Teamwork was provided to decrease my stress. This task was time-consuming but the work was completed without problems. While listening to the business staff cost was explained before anything was accepted. The staff was very much people person. Alameda Dental has a new slogan. We fuck up but it your problem so deal with it. I had an appointment scheduled for 3pm today. I received two text messages to confirm my appointment. Which I confirmed twice. Then I received a call minutes before my appointment from the receptionist who said I was suppose to be there by 2:30pm and since I missed my appointment I would need to reschedule. I said, "no, my appointment is for 3pm today and I had confirmed my appointment via text" Oh. Okay well we will call you back. Never received a call back from anyone at their office, so I called them back to let them know I would no longer be going to their office anymore. Some lady answered who sounded like bitch right from the start. I'm assuming is the manager or owner who clearly doesn't give a fuck about her patients. Moved here to CO from Rhode Island and was in search of a new dentist. Had an appointment on 12/26 at 5pm, and 12/28 at 8am. I needed xrays and a few fillings. On 12/26 I arrived at 4:50 and was asked to fill out paperwork beforehand-which only took 10 mins. I wasn't seen until 5:20 ( they mentioned that they were running a bit behind so I didn't mind.) Once I was seated in a room, everything afterwards was quick and painless! Each staff I had explained everything they were doing in detail and answered all of my questions. This office is very clean ,every single staff I encountered was extremely friendly and Mrs Khmil herself is the sweetest woman ever. Would 100% recommend!! read more

After visiting a different dentist to fix the horrible work i got done on my teeth at the Alameda Dental location I learned they used cheap plastic filings on cavities that were to large thus causing the fillings to break. I have to replace all the work they have done! They filled cavities that should have been crowned im sure on purpose to get more money out of me in the long run. They also did not clear out all of the cavity because i have decay underneath the fillings they put it. Yes the people who work there are nice but the work they do is extremely low quality. read more

I am so grateful that these people put up with me. Amanda was so great about my teeth cleaning the made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I had a broken wisdom tooth and omg never had so much pain in my life! When my wisdom tooth wouldn't come out and I felt something, the dentist said nope we are not going to put you in any more pain. Let's get you in with the oral surgeon. She made me feel comfortable about that decision. They tried to make me feel relaxed and comfortable when I was scared AF! The oral Surgeon was amazing. I moved to Aurora several weeks ago and looked at local dentist. I contacted them right away. I was able to get in as a new patient right away. The front office staff were so welcoming and friendly. the office is a calming atmosphere. I was brought back by my hygienist, she was very friendly and clearly explained my procedure. The dentist Dr. Larissa came in, she was very friendly yet professional at the same time. She made me feel like I'd been there for years. I have anxiety about dentistry, I didn't feel any anxiety AT ALL!!! I mentioned about being new in the state & area. Dr. Larissa gave me a dozen or so eatery recommendations! I just moved to Colorado a few months ago and needed to get a 6 month check in. I found Dr. Khmil and I am SO thankful. I have never had a good experience at the dentist and always dreaded going until I came to Alameda Dental. Dr. Khmil and her support staff were all SO warm and welcoming upon arrival. The front desk took temperatures and the staff was double masked and constantly switching gloves, per corona procedure. All the support as well as Dr. Khmil did a fantastic job explaining to me the procedures prior to performing and everyone was very attentive to my comfort levels throughout my visit. I had to get 2 fillings and Dr. Khmil suggested doing so on two different days to avoid discomfort.. the office was able to get me all appointments within a week and were very accommodating to my schedule. It was extremely convenient!! Each time I arrived I was my temperature was checked, and I filled out a covid exposure form. I was taken back right at my appointment time each time as well. The office is very prompt, clean, and made me feel safe and comfortable. I also really loved that I could fill out all paperwork online prior or my appointment. Do not go to this place. All they want is your money and don't care about you as a person, they just see you as another number. I went there for the first time in October 2020 when I moved to Denver and it was my last one. They told me I had 3 cavities and it was surprising to me since I hadn't had any in 10+ years and I take care of my teeth and dental hygiene. I was skeptical of the results so I decided to not get the dental work done and try a different dentist in 6 months. I visited a different dentist in 6 months and the results came up clean, no cavities...that left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended). I'm a very positive person so I decided to not say anything at the moment and wait until my next cleaning. I visited another dentist because the previous one was an old practice/office, not up to date equipment and made me wait way past my appointment time. So 3 days ago I went to a new dentist for my routine cleaning and my results came back clean, no cavities again. I'm writing this review because people shouldn't been treated like a number and have unnecessary dental work done. It is a lack of respect and consideration to the patient. read more

Here, everyone was THROUGH, the actual dentist spent 50-60% of the patient visit with me and they had very modern and new equipment. By the way, they take medicaid. I did not have a pleasant experience with Alameda Dental. I recently moved from California to Colorado and went to Alameda Dental for a cleaning. The Dental assistant who cleaned my teeth was new to the team and kept apologizing for fumbling with the equipment and kept messing up my x-rays. She asked me questions while my mouth was full and made little comments here and there about how my teeth didn't look good while she was cleaning them. When Dr. Khmil came in, she said that I have 6 cavities that need to be taken care of. My last dentist, whom I'd been going to for years and had just visited 6 months ago for a different cleaning, said at my last cleaning that I have a few problem areas but nothing that needed to be fixed right away. To go from that assessment to Dr. Khmil's assessment that I have 6 cavities that need to be worked on right away just 6 months later seemed a bit extreme to me. When I expressed concern about this assessment, Dr. Khmil seemed annoyed with my concern and said that my previous Doctor probably didn't have the right equipment to make an accurate diagnosis. I left the office that day with a gut feeling that something was wrong here. I asked them to send my x-rays to my previous doctor for a second opinion and even made a stop by Dr. Khmil's office later that week to sign a release form so that they could send him my x-rays. I'd called my previous doctor before that and asked if it was ok to get a second opinion and to have them send the x-rays and he gave me his email address and phone number so that they could send that information. Flash forward a month later and I get a call from my previous dentist that they didn't receive the x-rays. I call Dr. Khmil's office that afternoon and ask if they've sent them over and the receptionist said she spoke over the phone with my previous doctor said that he told her he didn't want to see my x-rays so the receptionist never sent them my x-rays. That didn't sit right with me since my previous dentist had just called and was wondering where they were. I then asked the receptionist at Dr. Khmil's office if she could send my x-rays over via the email my previous doctor gave them any way and move my appointment to a later date until this is all sorted out. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable going forward with the procedure until I'd gotten a second opinion from my previous doctor. The receptionist said that they won't send them over and asked if I wanted to cancel my appointment instead of rescheduling. I then canceled my appointment. Since my insurance covers a second dental assessment for the year, I will be seeing a new doctor for a second opinion. Regardless of the outcome of the second assessment, I'm glad that I won't be going to Alameda Dental for any future cleanings or procedures. read more

I feel really fortunate to have found Dr. Khmil. I feel that a lot of dentists overcharge their patients, treating them more like customers, always upselling unnecessary treatments. Dr. Khmil's not only very knowledable and experienced in her work, but she's really in tune with her patients' needs. I also really appreciate all of her staff. Everyone is really friendly, positive and knowledgeable. I also love how quickly they've always taken care of me although I also never feel like I'm being rushed out of my visits. My daughter and I are in Aurora every month / 2 months. On this particular day December 20th, 2018, my 17 year old daughter had a dental emergency. She has Delta Dental of Wyoming and I took her Dr Khmil. After xrays and an exam, It was decided that the tooth that is so bothering my daughter, supposedly needed a "root canal". We told Dr Khmil, that we were not interested in doing the root canal at this time. She stated that she could give antibiotics( Which she did) and pain medication to my daughter instead of doing the root canal today. She was supposed to look at her schedule to see when we could reschedule said root canal. When Dr. Khmil came back into the room she started numbing my daughters mouth. I asked her what she was doing, and she said they were doing he root canal today. It didn't matter what my daughter or I had said previously. My daughter did not have the root canal and I think they just wanted to get the $1000 that my daughters dental insurance had approved. Never will I recommend or go to this facility!!!! read more

I wish I could give Alameda Dental a 0 but I can't. When I first came to the clinic I had Medicaid and had no issues with the practice. I got a new job and a fantastic dental insurance and decided to just go back to Alameda Dental since I had established care there. When I went in it felt off, from the start the Dental Hygienist measured my gums and gave me a lot of 4s and 5s and telling me my teeth were horrible and I was at risk of heart attacks and gum disease. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and there was no way I could get a regular cleaning because it was just dancing around the problem. They had an entire write up of the cost 2 minutes into sitting in the dental chair. Everyone (including the dentist) kept making comments about how good my insurance was and how lucky I was. Even with my insurance it would cost me $500 and then Dr. Khmil came in barely looked at my mouth and told me I had a cavity. I decided to get a second opinion since I brush three times a day and floss everyday. I went to Awesome Dental in Stapleton and the dentist measured my gums and only gave me 1-3s. He told me I don't have any cavities and I just need a cleaning and I should be good. He told me even pushing as hard as he could into my gums he couldnt get a measurement of 4. MY DENTIST WAS TRYING TO SCAM ME AND MY INSURANCE SHAME ON YOU!!!! Get a second opinion with an office that has a moral compass. read more

She is really good doctor for adults and for kids as well. My daughter is fall in love with her dentistry, painless, lots of fun and cute pictures and models to explain how teeth are growing, And why is so important to keep it's healthy ! I had neglected my teeth due to some terrible past experiences in previous dentist offices. Some of those experiences were in very fancy and pricey places where you wouldn't think they would give you such bad advice or treatment. I was so anxious to go back to a dentist, that I had to take medication for anxiety the first couple of times I went to Alameda Dental. Thanks to her caring, friendly approach, I don't feel anxious any more, I almost welcome the hour of relaxing at the dentist chair! Dr. Khmil and her team have been very careful to keep me comfortable and without pain. They explained clearly what needed to be done and gave me several options. When my bridge came from the lab not to her liking, she had the lab person come to the office to check why the bridge was not going to work and to give him specific instructions on how to do it right. I am so happy I found my dentist, and I recommend her to everyone who asks! read more
