My insurance was billed over 10k for my first visit, which maxed me out for the entire year. Was…read moretold they'd need me to pay out of pocket for all other treatments after that. Was told I needed a ton of procedures including a special cleaning that was not covered by insurance and would have to come in every 3-4 months for this specialized cleaning - when I went to another dentist for a second option they said I didn't need any of those things suggested. I feel like they just billed for every single thing they possibly could to get as much money out of my insurance as possible. (The second opinion dentist I went to billed less than $1k for a new patient visit and cleaning, etc.) I had a root canal done here at the suggestion of the dentist, they started it, couldn't finish it so I had to wait a week for a different specialist to fix it (they fixed it right away and said it was just a pretty routine procedure meaning it shouldn't have taken a specialist to fix) and then went back to this dentist for the crown. (I was told I'd need two root canals. The second dentist said I did not need the second root canal and probably didn't even need the first one done either!) The crown cracked completely after only 4 months, and when I had to get it replaced, they made it significantly smaller than my other teeth which caused my bottom tooth to move to compensate for my bite. My bite has been off ever since and it's been almost 2 years now and I still have jaw pain every single day. This was the most regrettable experience, coming here. I never had any tooth issues before in my life, and only came for a routine cleaning and now I have chronic jaw pain and have to go see another specialist to deal with that. The jaw pain causes lack of sleep, headaches, neck and should pain as well. This was a traumatizing experience which makes it difficult to trust any other dentist or procedure and I never had anxiety about going to the dentist before. If you go here and they suggest you need thousand of dollars of work, always get a second opinion.

I had the most excruciating cleaning experience ever. I also had three wisdom teeth pulled that same day. I was awake during the extraction. It took about an hour to have them all pulled. Assistant dropped my Bridge on floor-it broke. 2. 2nd time, Dr. took my Bridge off tray & it broke in half in his hands. 3. 3rd time Dr. B installed it then it broke within days due to me eating. 4. A 3 Unit Bridge was needed/cemented in. I looked in mirror, saw a deep line/wedge from front to back. Error by the Lab, the staff & Dr. B. So, in having to drill/take off that Bridge, Dr. B broke tooth #12 5. Now I need a 5 unit Bridge! This was never done Due to the office saying Dr. B had retired. I believe I was charged for a Mouth Guard, never received it (he never finished the work) The staff knew I was upset due to the incompetence. An "office girl" ACTUALLY SAID to my face: "You can't expect your dental care for free!" I opened my mouth, showed her NO teeth, & said "what dental care? No one else(Dr's) in that office offered to fix the damage he caused-it would cost them. I HAVE NO UPPER LEFT TEETH (The office lied & said Dr. B retired. Nope, He's at another location.) He took extra time with me explaining me the options - the positives and the negatives. The office environment was spotless and all of the staff were helpful, courteous and completely professional. Dr. Chavez explained to me the various complications that were possible and gave me the option to proceed with the work done or not. I opted to have the work performed even though it was risky.
