You go to the dentist, you ask them to do whatever they need to do that is covered by insurance. Nothing else, don't need more want any extras. They say of course, they call your insurance company and out of good faith you assume that they are only doing things covered by insurance. In fact, they tell you to come on different days bc that's how the insurance coverage works. So you coke and subject yourself to the pain on different days. Then you get a bill for over $2000 even though you've already paid $300-$500. None of this was medically necessary work. Again you tell them multiple times to only do things covered by insurance. Welcome to the shadiness of Midtown Dental. Of course they will respond with the bs of sorry for your experience, please contact us at this number... and then of course it's a bunch of nonsense... just trying to save face until they screw the next person. Sad part is I am a Nurse and I was recommended to come here by another nurse who knows one of the Dentists. So much for trusting people. read more

I have been going to Midtown Dental for ten years. They have a new dentist there named Dr. Bennefield and I want to highly recommend him. He's new to the practice and I found him to be excellent. I had two crowns put in last week, while never fun at all, Dr Bennefield (and, of course, Mona) it was a very tolerable experience. Highly professional; all felt safe in this time of Covid, and very personable. Thank you Midtown Dental! read more

Midtown Dental - Excellent service especially during quarantine. Thank you For taking all the precautions to keep staff and patients safe! - General Dentistry Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Using dental insurance, I have had to pay out of pocket each time seeing the new dentist in this practice since the original dentist retired... not for anything extra, simply for routine cleanings and X-rays. I requested a call from the office manager two times and never got a call back. Unprofessional and expensive in my experience. read more

Covered by Kaiser and close to my work, I started going to Midtown dental a few years ago. It's always easy to schedule appointments, change, or cancel them too. Everyone is very nice and the dentists take their time at the end of your appointment to check out your teeth! Things have always gone smoothly for me and they were able to accommodate me on short notice when I had a cavity. read more

I do not know if this is a pattern of behavior by this business or if I am just unlucky. Either way I want to share my experience. Midtown Dental's competence providing dental services is adequate. I have been a customer their for over 5 years. That being said, twice now they have quoted me the cost of service and then, after providing the service, they told me that I owed over double the quoted price and that there is nothing they can do because it is all the insurance companies fault. The second time came after I asked several times to have a quote prior to the service which they finally gave me while I was sitting in the chair telling them I am not proceeding without them telling me how much this will cost me. AND then they STILL played the same game. Their business staff and the hygienist just shook there heads and kept saying how sorry they were as I went through the history of how I felt betrayed and suckered into an overpriced procedure by them quoting one price and then charging me another. They definitely wait until after you get the procedure to do this so beware. While this was occurring The Dentist hurried past to avoid the situation. Again I do not know if this is a pattern of theirs or if I just have been unlucky TWICE. My fault for returning to them after the first time. I will never be returning and want to let others know in case this is something more than just incompetence. read more

I have been a patient at midtown for over 10+ years. Dr. Doi was my dentist and after many years of wonderful care he recently retired. Dr. Benefield has taken over Dr. Doi's practice and I am happy to announce that I am thrilled with his choice of Dr. Benefield in taking over his office. I have already had a regular cleaning, a new crown and a chipped tooth taken care of by Dr. Benefield and his staff. Things went very smoothly as I hoped they would. It is scary when your regular dentist of many years retires to trust a new dentist. I am so thankful he found Dr. Benefield who has been nothing but delightful on my visits and professional in his services. You should make the move to visit Dr. Benefield for great dental service. Also, they are taking lots of precautions/care to work safely in this Covid-19 time. I appreciate them and have felt very safe during my procedures this year. read more

I've been a loyal patron for years, and I'm very disappointed with how I was treated today. I came in for a cleaning, and was asked to leave! There's a test I decline for personal reasons. In the past, the hygienists have explained the benefits and respected my wishes when I decline. I've never had a problem. Today, the hygienist performed the test anyway! I stopped her, and she got upset and tried to say it was part of the cleaning. I did not feel comfortable, so I went to the desk to pay and reschedule with a different hygienist. An older lady with a bob refused to reschedule, stating that the hygienist had to look at and touch my gums in order to do a cleaning. Without allowing me to explain what really happened, she told me they would be happy to send my records to another dentist. I was disrespected, lied-to, and expelled. I just wanted a simple cleaning. Update: almost two years later, someone named Kurt left a message justifying this behavior under the reasoning that they "don't do simple cleanings." Kurt, what the hygienist did was BATTERY, and you're very lucky I didn't involve the police. For your own safety, stay away from this dentist!! read more

Been coming here for 4+ years now and have seen a variety of providers. My appointments always start on time, sometimes even early. Everyone is friendly and professional. Generally they book out 4-6 weeks in advance, but I've always been able to get in within 24-48 hours if I call and ask for any cancellations. They accept a variety of dental insurance plans too, which has been great. read more

I would definitely recommend Midtown! This was my first appointment. I had a great cleaning and consultation with the dentist. Both the hygienist and dentist took extra time to answer all of my questions and chat with me. They gave me some great tips for preventing potential problems in the future. I appreciate an ethical, honest practice which Midtown definitely is! read more

After having a bad experience with Mollner Dentistry, I made an appointment with Midtown Dental. My dental hygenist was friendly, quick, and gentle. It was very much appreciated. I was incredibly worried about my teeth after visiting Mollner Dentistry in November. I was told that I had one cavity and 10 "possible cavities" and was on the verge of gum disease. Being so worried after leaving, I purchased flouride toothpaste, flouride floss, and Act flouride mouthwash to try to combat those cavities. I never ended up getting my filling done by Mollner because I lost my dental insurance for a few months. After leaving the office, I had a good impression because, despite the fact that they scared me to death, they seemed friendly enough. Later, when I tried to go back to purchase more flouride toothpaste, I had an incredibly rude experience with their office manager. I won't go into it here, but after such a rude experience and an incredibly awkward phone call, I decided that I wouldn't be going back to Mollner. When I regained dental insurance, I made an appointment at Midtown. I was told that my teeth look great and that I had NO CAVITIES. In fact, the dentist told me that "I'm not even close" to having a cavity. So that cavity that Moller was adamant about filling isn't even a cavity! They placed a "watch" on TWO teeth with deep grooves, not TEN. Gum disease wasn't even mentioned once, although I will admit that I've been flossing like a fiend after being so worried. Long story short - I feel like the folks at Midtown Dental were straight with me. I feel like the folks at Mollner were using "scare tactics" to enforce good dental hygiene. If you're conflicted about whether to go to Mollner Dentistry or Midtown Dentistry, choose Midtown. read more

I was experiencing some tooth pain that was lingering so I first went to Mollner dentistry. She spent about 5 minutes with me, took an Xray, told me that I needed a root canal, then they quoted me $2700 for the procedure. As I walked away choking on my tears of "oh shat! $2700 for a tooth!" I decided to get a second opinion. Midtown Dental was able to get me in that afternoon with Dr. Glassick. The office is very friendly and so is Dr. Glassick. He spent at least 20 minutes trying to figure out the problem. The conclusion-I did NOT need a root canal just some TLC to the crown on that tooth. Guess what?! The next day no tooth pain, no major procedure and it only cost me an office visit!!!! Thanks Dr. Glassick for saving me major pain, time and money!!! read more

Midtown Dental provides the finest dental care anyone who cares about their dental health could desire. The front office staff makes you feel comfortable by being friendly and very efficient. My dental hygenist was friendly, professional and left me feeling good about my cleaning. Dr. Kurt Tsumura is one of the finest doctors of dentistry I have had in my over seventy years of maintaining my dental health. He is easy to talk to, a great sense of humor and gives considerable attention to detail. The technology available to the dental professionals of today is used to give their patients the very best in dental care. I highly recommend Midtown Dental to anyone who seriously cares about their dental health. Due to medications that I must take I have additional concerns about maintaining the integrity of my teeth. Dr. Tsumura took the time to explain the complications that must be addressed in order to stay healthy. His obvious knowledge, and care, have given me the confidence to continue my dental regimen. He is a professional who goes above and beyond the norm to provide a positive medical experience. read more

Deceptive sales practices and not transparent. I am self-pay and I asked if they had a new patient special. They said no but that cleaning and xray was only $175. I was charged $400 for the x-rays, exam, and plaque cleaning! But wait, it gets better! They then told me I had to come back to finish the final cleaning the next day so that my gums could rest overnight. What? Ive never heard of that. My gums were fine but I said okay, assuming it was part of the price, only to find out they charge you another $100 to come back. ARE YOU SERIOUS??!! Total upsell, cheesy SCAM! I complained about the $400 price tag (before even knowing I would be charged another $100 to come back) and was told that the $175 service was for returning patients after the initial visit but that is not at all what I was told. I was also upcharged for fluoride paste without them even mentioning that is would be more. Another $40 to smear some fluoride on my teeth! So over $500 for x-rays, exam, and cleaning! read more

The work done on my Veneers lasted less than 6 hours, this is supposed to be permanent, not when you put them on and they fall off in less than 1 day. I also paid for other services in advance, shame on me for trusting that the office manager and dentist would give me a refund if they didn't perform the services. Months later, I'm still waiting for a refund. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Avoid this dentist like the plague!! After talking me into a procedure I didn't think I needed, and telling me I was covered by my insurance, I received an insane bill stating my insurance was out-of-network and actually only covered about 10%. When I called to ask why this had happened, was rudely told it was my own fault. Now I'm stuck with the bill, and on top of that, I went from being pain-free to constantly in pain. I guess I'll have to find a new dentist to correct the crappy work they did- hopefully an honest and ethical office. read more

I had a great experience here. To say I am afraid of and avoid the dentist is an understatement. I am lucky if I can drag myself every few years. I had a molar break off and after 10 days forced myself to make the call and book an appointment. Even though I was embarrassingly tearing up with fear and dread, Dr. Tsumura and Yolanda were kind, professional and compassionate. They took all the time I needed to answer my questions and explain thoroughly what comes next. They never rushed anything. I really appreciate their care. My kids also go here and we've always had a great experience for them too. Highly, highly recommend. read more

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Tsumura of Midtown Dental. Dr. Tsumura was unprofessional and worse, refused to address any of my concerns. My issue is with an infection that I developed from a treatment provided by the office. Moving to a new city is fraught with peril--no more so than when choosing a dentist. One wrong move can make the difference between clean teeth and chair-gripping terror. While I felt a little insecure about choosing a dentist through Yelp (choosing a dentist is a far cry from choosing a hamburger joint), I"m glad I took a risk and visited Midtown Dental. The hygenist was down to earth, gentle and reassuring, and the dentist was extremely kind--which is important to those of us who have suffered dental trauma in the past. Honestly, I'd rather sit through 24 hours of a timeshare presentation than visit the dentist. At any rate, this was a good experience (to my great relief). Of course, I'm already dreading my next appointment in six months. read more

Dr. Tsumura went above and beyond today. My husband and I both go to Midtown dental and the service has always been exemplary in that Dr. T is great about explaining a process or procedure and the staff is great. Today I called him because my husband is out of the country - in Peru. He had tooth, sinus and jaw pain and went to a dentist in Lima, Peru. He ended up having an infection and an emergency root canal. Needless to say he was concerned about having the procedure out of country. My husband asked that I relay all the information to Dr. T to get his advice which I did. Dr. T was generous with his time and energy. He emailed us back and forth, asked questions, gave advise and so on all during his busy day. I feel a little more relieved about my husband now. I am grateful for his expertise, and taking the time with us. read more

My experience with Midtown Dental and Dr. Rubino has been amazing. For several years I was uninsured and unable to afford dental care. I was worried that I would be scolded by a new dentist and was honestly pretty ashamed. The entire crew at Midtown was warm, welcoming and helped me get back on track as quickly as possible. The billing staff was able to get me a quote for the work I needed done ahead of time so I knew what to expect and I honestly can't say enough nice things. Go see them- you won't regret it. read more

I've been going to this dental office for a few years and the dentist convinced me I need veneers on my front teeth. What he said made sense so I went forward with it. First, they gave me an estimate that was less than half of what they charged me, my temporary teeth came off several times each within 1 week and my permanent veneers came off twice, both times within 6 hours of being placed on (I hadn't are yet either within this time period). The first time the dentist apologized so I didn't press for a refund. The second time I decided to get another opinion and the dentist informed me that the veneers were going to cause bigger problems down the road, in which the midtown dentist did not tell me, and placed them back on and they have stayed on. I have requested a refund and the office manager has never called me back, I've called and left five messages. When I got a call back they lied about being in vacation when the receptionist told me she was in the office 3 of the 5 times I called. Upon speaking with Ruth Ann, the office manager, my pain, suffering, embarrassment of losing my teeth at a social function and missing work didn't mean anything to them. She told me "it was not her problem." Don't give them your business, they don't care about you, just your money. read more
