The place I work at ordered Emy J's for us folks who were trying to eat more healthily, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. The sweet potato fries were good. We also had 2 different soups--tomato herb and curry vegetable. Both were really good! The best thing I had from Emy's was the gluten free chicken and black bean chiapa. Maybe a little overzealous with the large garlic chunks, but super good! I'm looking forward to coming here and trying out some of their other menu items. read more

One of my favorite places in Stevens Point. They use locally produced ingredients to create delicious menu items. My favorite choices are the Sante Fe Chicken Wrap or Bison King Wrap. The ice cream and smoothies are delicious as well! Definitely recommend giving it a try! read more

Emy J's - not sure if this is for both but there is both a cafe and a restaurant under the same roof. At the cafe they have fair trade coffee (roasted onsite), smoothies, and ice cream. At the restaurant you will find farm raised meats and veggie options that go way beyond other offering in the area. read more

Emy J's is one of my favorite Point joints to: 1) enjoy coffee or tea, 2) eat, 3) meet, 4) seen and be seen. Seriously, if I'm not at my shop, at home, or at meetings, you can probably find me at Emy J's. Comfortable, homey, cool in summer, cozy in winter, with delicious healthy food, bakery, and ice cream. Always a favorite! I've been going here for years. It's very popular. In the colder months it's hard to find a place to sit, but when it's warm out you can sit outside or easily find a place to sit inside. This will always be my hometown favorite. read more

Great find on my long drive. Very tasty, fresh food. I was able to get a gluten-free and vegetarian breakfast that was very satisfying. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The only criticism I have is that in the coffee shop part, which I'm not sure is Emy J's or not, the water tasted like bleach. My latte was great, though. read more

Expresso drinks are very good, nice selection of ice cream. Food at the restaurant is top notch!! Only odd thing is that the baristas are rarely if ever friendly or outgoing. This rating is mostly for the coffee house aspect of the place, as I didn't like the food in the cafe at all (I'm also not vegan, so I could see why the place would have more appeal in that aspect). The coffee, however, is very good, and I like the decor and outdoor patio. I'd still choose Zest over Emy J's because I think Zest has much better food, but I can certainly see the appeal of this place as well. read more

Nice little coffee spot for espresso enthusiasts. Although, I do have to say that I've been there 3 times and one of the times the latte was terrible. I'm no connoisseur, but I know a good latte. The other two times the latte was amazing and okay. I don't know what's so variable, but they just don't seem to be consistent. read more

Love coming here to have smoothies, ice cream, teas, or food. The food side is separate than the drinks, which can be confusing the first time you go, but it's all the same place. Super good food, and really cute toys that they use instead of a number to match your food to you. This place was awesome, the quintessential local place. The first time we were there we had a Chiapas wrap that was excellent, fresh ingredients, flavorful and it came with sweet potato chips. The second time we were there we had smoothies, the Mango one was great and the berry was a bit tarty. Best ice cream in town! I love their flavors-- Heaps of Love being my absolute favorite since they opened years ago. I'm not a HUGE fan of their food, but the ice cream and coffee drinks are great enough for five stars. They have free WiFi and games for kids. They are not what they were. The new owner has not kept up the same practices as the original owner. Emy j's had the best un allergenic food around. It's a shame. I had great confidence in many of their food products. I mistakenly ate there twice before I realized that THEY DO USE regular commercial run of the mill ingredients now. They are no longer scrupulous in what they put in their food. I have learned from painful experiences. And...........they no longer carry the energy bars I bought ALL THE TIME. Wishfully hoping they would go back to what we all knew and loved about Emy J"s. But unsure at this point if Me and my family will return. read more

This place is great! I'm here from out of town for work and have to go here every morning. I love going to local coffee shops vs. the usual national coffee place. Hands down, this is one of the best coffee shops I've been to and I've been to many, because of my travels for work. Wish we had a place like this in Atlanta. read more

This is one of my favorite places in Point to spend an hour. It's bustling, comfortable, kid friendly, artsy. The food is good and healthy and it is close to the river. They put artwork on the walls made by local emerging artists and there is a fantastic local bakery next door. The prices are good and the baristas are friendly and capable. I haven't been there a single time when I didn't know someone there. It's big enough for a group, but cozy. read more

Unfortunately Emy J's is one of the only places in town to get remotely healthy food, besides my own kitchen, which is where I wish I stayed every time I come here for food or coffee. Every dish, every drink, comes with an oversized side of attitude from the smug and outrageously rude employees. If you treat your customers like crap, they will likely never return. read more

We wanted to go out of our way because we heard they roast there own coffee. It wasn't exactly what we expected, but the biggest disappointment was getting my credit card bill and seeing they added $500 to the check. I have the receipt of a 17 breakfast which was overlooked, but I'm really disappointed a charge for over $500 on a table for two would go through by their help unnoticed.
