Cute, small. I never ate there. Outside dining available. Lots of amazing salads. Other shops to explore near by.

We were drenched and decided that some hot coffee on the way out of town would be just the thing. Aquamos Coffee Collaborative to the rescue! It's in downtown Waupaca, so the parking is basically street or street angled parking. My husband was able to find a spot to sit with the car and camper while I ran in and got our coffee. Since it was lunch time and I noticed what sounded like a pretty stellar breakfast sandwich on their menu, I ordered us a couple of those as well. For our coffee we got the caramel roll latte (caramel-y, ever so slightly cinnamon-y deliciousness). They also have alternative milks, if you so desire. The breakfast sandwich was a sesame bagel with chipotle mayo, egg, bacon, and sharp cheddar--it was super flavorful and absolutely delicious. Oh...and I believe they're dog friendly. We were warmed up by the hot coffee and kickin' eats in no time. Thanks Aquamos! Get to it!

Waupaca, Wi. It is…read moreso good to have a coffee place in Waupaca that has great coffees and know how to make a decent latte. Cups are paper only even if you're lounging on premises. We're anticipating a breakfast menu beyond waffles, I would even be happy with yogurt and granola. The espresso as near as I can tell is a medium roast with great flavors, kind of a nutty finish and just a hint of chocolate. The most predominant flavor is coffee, which is my favorite. Perhaps as the baristas gain experience we will see latte art in a large ceramic latte cup as a lagniappe. The place is perfect, I hope it will be a permanent Waupaca establishment. Good WiFi, except for the day it didn't work.

For a latte, we went with two shot 12 oz, with the milk held down about 3/4 inch. The result is a perfect latte. Rich and robust, the flavor of the roast is striking. I'm not sure why anyone would add a flavor to this delicious caffeinated beverage, but then that's just me. I like the old jazz coming from the speakers as opposed to some of the crap thrust upon us at other places.

Staff weren't overly welcoming or chatty--no carried conversation or small talk--but they were polite and friendly enough. If you're looking for warm, high-energy service, this might not be the spot, but if you're okay with a more reserved vibe, it works. There was a bit of a wait for our drinks, which felt a little long considering we were the only customers being helped at the time. That said, the quality of the drinks made up for it. I had the lavender lemonade--super refreshing and light. My partner tried the orange cream chai and really enjoyed the flavor balance. Both drinks were thoughtfully made and tasty. That said, if I were in the area again, there's another local coffee shop I'd likely choose first--it had a more welcoming atmosphere and a similar drink quality. Still, this spot was a pleasant stop with creative options and might be just right for someone seeking a quieter, more laid-back experience.

There is some special food to be had in this part of Wisconsin, I am a huge fan of the Green Fountain Inn and the Secret Garden just a few blocks away, and now Sulten Belly. We were greeted as we entered and given some clarity of the process so there was no confusion. I liked that we found a seat and took our time with the menu before I went to the ordering station, ordered, paid, and received a number for the table. I'm not exactly pleased with the modern method of tipping before you even see the food, but I paid cash so I could add more to the tip jar if deserved. Oh yeah, if you pay by card they tack on 4%. Bring your cash, they discourage cards. Where I live (Laguna Beach, CA) , some restaurants are the other way. They are not accepting cash and only take alternate card or digital payments. I ordered Mr. Beefy, a delicious smoked beef tenderloin panini sandwich with melted provolone cheese that really hit the spot. The beef tasted like it had been braised in wine, just wonderful for $16.50. Also excellent was the Sulten Belly Favorite Salad that was with assorted fresh greens and bacon, $13.50. The staff here were all friendly and helpful. It was a nice cozy vibe without the bright lights. I will be back. They also have premade frozen dishes available that look pretty good.

We arrived around 9 am on a Wednesday and it was very busy--they had already sold out of one of the breakfast specials. Dawn was our server and she was very pleasant and helpful when I had a question about the menu. My guy had two blueberry pancakes with bacon, and I had biscuits & gravy with hash browns. The location does not house a gambling casino. Casino used to refer to a building for dancing, meetings, and entertainment, hence the name. We parked in the lot and headed toward the wooden building with the curved roof. The casino building and some of the nearby buildings reminded me of buildings at Indiana Beach, and I realized these had some history to them as well. They date back to the 1920s, and it's great to see them still in use. Inside, we found a lot of seating, a curtained stage for live music, a bar, and garage doors open to the Chain O'Lakes. The spring-fed lake nearby has beautiful blue green water and was busy with boat traffic on a warm sunny Saturday. We found some seats and the bar and ordered some beers. I noticed they also had cocktails and wine, and some nice glassware to compliment the beverages. We both ordered the Wanna Smash Burger: two patties with American cheese, thick peppery bacon, lettuce, red onion, and their ICC sauce served with kettle potato chips ($18). I didn't really want bacon on my burger, but it turned out that this was some really fine thick bacon, hanging well outside of the boundaries of the bun, and it was delicious. The burger was good as well, the ICC sauce had a bit of sweetness to it, and all of the flavors worked well together. The access to the lake on a beautiful day makes this a great option for food and/or drinks. And they host live music, yoga, and other events well.
