The edges crack when clicking together. However, the store refused to let us return for a full refund. Their policy is to charge a 25% restocking fee even though there was a manufacturing defect. Even in our case where everyone agreed it was defective the "regional manager" still refused to refund. So we are out 25% and the money it cost to pay our installers. They also had a customer service rep call us per their policy from overseas who had no idea about our case and also refused to refund our 25% fee. I'm assuming they plan to resell this defective product since we had to pay for "restocking" which seems criminal. I have never encountered a store with such a horrible policy and negligent upper management. We plan to sue them for the 25% they owe us because that is only fair.

David and Tye were very helpful in explaining the different types of hardwood and tile choices. We then worked through a couple months of changes and making sure we needed up with what we wanted as an end result. Being around a $20,000.00 project we did not want to have any regrets. They worked very hard and was very friendly and responsive to the changes and questions we had. We also had a backsplash repair that was very difficult to match the tile and look like it had never been repaired. Yes, there were a couple hiccups through the process but the end result was amazing and we were treated with respect and care during the whole process. The backsplash repair is not even noticeable and hard to believe they pulled it off but they did. I would highly recommend Flooring America for any flooring needs hardwood or tile.

A. Hoke LTD is like a library for interior design professionals. It's not a furniture store; they don't sell anything to the public, they operate as a resource where professional interior designers can check out sample fabrics, trims, and wallcoverings for our design presentations to our clients. The furniture samples you see in the showroom are helpful when we have clients who wish to sit on a sample chair or sofa prior to committing to a custom order, or we might purchase them for a client project or showhouse if we'r on a tight deadline. Christina assumed that the professional men and women she saw clustered around the order desk were all employees who were ignoring her business, but those people were likely the interior designers who ARE the customers of this business, conferring with A. Hoke employees about product availability etc. When I'm visiting the showroom to work on a client's project, I'm there on a mission and I definitely don't want to be accosted by showroom staff trying to "sell" me on a new line. I don't need/want anyone to ask me if I'm "finding what I'm looking for," either. Honestly, it really is like a library -- I know my way around the stacks, I usually don't need help and want to be left alone to work, but I know that the staff is there to help me if I do need help locating a substitute for a discontinued fabric or something like that. I've done a lot of business with A. Hoke over the last two decades and I can vouch for the professionalism, fantastic customer service and support I've received when I really needed it -- like when a furniture company went into bankruptcy AFTER we'd placed a deposit on special order pieces for my client's project, but BEFORE any furniture had been delivered. Sue at A. Hoke's furniture desk saved that project (and my reputation with my client) by leveraging her clout to get that deposit money back so we could apply it to a new order with a different manufacturer. I remember when I was first starting out as an interior designer, when it was so hard to get trade accounts opened for my business because every company seemed to want trade references from other companies you were already set up with first, and A. Hoke was so welcoming and helpful with that, too (unlike another To the Trade showroom we had in Charlotte at that time). When Christina walked into A. Hoke wanting to shop for wing chairs, no one bothered her even though she strictly speaking was not supposed to be there. They didn't demand to see her design credentials and her resale ID and "how is your business registered with us;" instead they gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was a legitimate interior designer and left her alone to get her work done in peace.
