Street parking available. Restaurant is situated at the corner of a major junction. Patio seating was comfortable. Servers & staff were friendly. Ordered the shrimp tacos to share but I think it's good as an entree too since it's quite substantial. Very generous with the ingredients. Love the combination of sweet fruits, diced peppers and vegetable and grilled shrimp. The creamy dressing pulled all the flavors together. We also ordered the sliced pear and arugula pizza. The balance drizzle gave the pizza boost. My Cesar salad was sufficient. Was not too wet that I had to send it back. Will come back to try The Kurt Pizza next time.

This place is beautiful inside. It's cozy with nice lighting and lots of plants. We loved it. We came in for drinks and apps and it did not disappoint! The salted vanilla espresso martini is amazing...must try at least one! The sunshine Tina was delicious. It's a large scoop of guacamole with ahi tuna on top and served with fried wonton skins. I would love this as dinner! The pizza also had great flavors with arugula, pears and a nice drizzle of a balsamic reduction was delicious. Our waitress was amazing. Knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly as well as attentive. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in town!

My boyfriend recently moved to Troy, and I come to visit from New York City. Emry's Garden is a gem and a real asset to the neighborhood. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are always welcoming. The manager, Carl, has such a genuine and friendly way about him, which I really appreciate. That kind of hospitality really stands out. The prices are reasonable, the drink quality is great, and they have a fantastic cocktail menu with a wide variety of options. Their weekday happy hour is also a great bonus, and the outdoor space is wonderful when the weather is nice. The food has been consistently excellent. I've had the pizza, seafood, and pasta, and my boyfriend loves the tacos, pizza, and pasta as well. We always leave satisfied. I would absolutely recommend Emry's Garden to friends, and honestly Carl's kindness alone would make me want to return. I aim to try the cauliflower the next time I go! It's reviewed well and smelt awesome the last time I was there (a girl next to me was eating it)

My friend and I get together every 3 weeks and try a new place! This week's adventure was over to Emery's Garden. Upon arrival we were sat immediately with no wait, our server was quick and attentive ensuring we never had to wait for a refill. Food was also served quickly and did not disappoint. For drinks we had the prickly pear margarita and pumpkin spice espresso martini! They were so delicious and refreshing. For dinner my friend had chicken croquettes and I had the burger with a side salad. Both dishes came out hot and fresh, they were both tasty we had no complaints! For dessert we shared a crème brûlée, I had never had this before and it wasn't my favorite. My friend loved it but she loves crème brûlée! Over all we will definitely be back, it was such a cute homey environment with friendly staff and yummy food and drinks!

Alert: First timer here. A few things to know beforehand. Parking is horrendous; there is No off street parking. Had to parallel park. I didn't see a changing table in the restroom. No high chairs, or at-least we asked for one and one was never delivered. That being said, not really a place for the kids more of an adult outting spot. Saturday night at 6pm showed up, sat right away. We wanted outdoors but we were not able to be accommodated with our request. A little disappointed as it was 80 and sunny. The indoors greets you with a warm welcome, divine presence of fresh flowers, cute little farm style tables and chairs, mostly mismatched and an array of different kinds of plants. We sat by the windows that had Edison lights around. Very cute, but no AC was on and the garage doors open to the outdoor patio needless to say there was no breeze to be felt and it was sweltering in the window seats. The food menu was a decent variety of dishes and additional menu for the pizzas. Pictured is all the menus we were given(food, beer, cocktails and wines). The presentation left something to be desired however the pretzels were very soft and just the right amount of salty crunch, it's served with a cherry beer cheese. The cauliflower bites were deliciously tasty and tender. Chicken sandwich was huge with nice juicy flavor and my favorite served with FRESH CUT fries. Beers ordered were basic, left me a little bitter. Margaritas were flavorful I was told. Our service was pretty mediocre nothing to write home about, nothing was above and beyond. Our highchair never had showed up even though we had asked a hostess for one. The nice thing about this restaurant was that there were different people from all walks of life. Huge range of ages from about 21-70, if I had to guess. Cute date night location in the future will definitely be back. Got to try to sit on that patio. Supposedly they carry brunch too!

Emry's is such a cool place located in a really convenient spot in Troy! The decor was so cool and the place was so popular! Parking is pretty easy across the street in the lot. My friends and I came here for dinner and even with a reservation we had to wait a little so I definitely recommend making one if you're trying to go during peak hours. Their cocktails and beers were really good, I definitely recommend the Elderberry mule and poppyseed lemon drop! I also think their pretzel bites are a must have!! They were so soft and delicious especially with cheese, probably one of the best pretzel bites I've ever had. I did also enjoy the salmon BLT and my friends got the steak, burger, and personal pizza to share which were all pretty good. There is also a 2.5% cash discount.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this establishment. We made reservations in advance of our date night. We had added that we would be on a date night in our reservation and we were placed at the cutest corner table with the most comfortable bench seats with tons of pillows. I started out with the Jules drink which was delicious, light and refreshing. We had the mussels as a starter and were blown away at the delicate white wine sauce and perfectly cooked mussels. Them the main entrees. My husband has the Salmon BLT. It was gorgeous with fresh Norwegian salmon, perfectly cooked, maple bacon, 9 grain bread, hand cut fries (GF btw) and a pickle because no BLT is complete without one. I had the short rib ragu pasta. I subbed GF pasta and it was amazing. You would have never known it was GF. It was absolutely divine. The short ribs were perfectly cooked, the red sauce with red wine, carrots, onions and garlic was beyond my expectations. We didn't have room for dessert after all that food but something tells me it would have been equally as delectable. If you are looking for a super cute, laid back place to eat an amazing meal, or just grab a drink, you have to check this place out. I can't wait to tell everyone about it.

Had a gift card for Emry's Garden, and finally got to go have a few beers and a burger comfortable atmosphere friendly waitress great place to visit. Sometimes the parking can suck in Troy as you weknow but overall great place.

Emry's Garden in Troy is a nice spot for a casual yet elevated dining experience. The vibe is cozy and stylish and perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. I ordered the steak, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, while my friend got the pasta, which was rich and satisfying. We also tried the wings from the appetizers, and they were flavorful, and a nice way to start the meal. They could use a bit more crunch. The service was alright. My food arrived a bit late but the ambiance was great. Definitely worth a visit!!

I came here on a Friday night for a friends bday. Will say it was busy. I made a reservation and we waited about 25 min till we were seated (reservation at 7:30 and we sat at 7:55). There isn't really a place to sit and wait so it was kinda awkward to stand around and we felt like we were in the way. I don't think they do anything for birthdays - or at least they didn't bring anything out which is fine but just so people know. They use open table for their reservation which I love. Our server was great!! And the food and drinks were also great so definitely saved the day. Very cool place to bring friends and very vibey. Would recommend. Also if you go definitely get the pretzel bites!!

The Ilium has a nice vibe. It attracted a young crowd. An employee at the door was ready to card some of them. The place was packed. All of the seats at the bar were filled by women who came as a group. Others, a mix of young men and women, filled the booths. I like their specialty cocktails. I think that's what brought many women there. But on this evening we ordered Guinness and pretzels which were very good. Between the seating, lighting and music, it's a comfortable place. As a pre-diabetic, I wish there were more food offerings with protein. That's my only criticism. I know they have really good pizza because I sampled some at a Yelp event. Adding real protein to the menu would help to slow the absorption of alcohol so that customers could stay longer. As for me, it would keep my carbs from spiking especially if I have their yummy cocktails.

Make sure you follow the street numbers, because the doorway to the west says "Ilium" above it, but the tap room is next door. The interior is very inviting, with many comfortable bar stools and seats on the first level, and a lounge upstairs which will seat about 20 people with an assortment of tables and lounge chairs. We were able to chat with the owner/brewer, Mike, for quite a while, he's very outgoing and great for chat. There will be about a dozen pours available on tap, with approximately half of them being their own brews, and the other half being a combination of beers from neighboring breweries, hard seltzers, and ciders. Pours will change about every 2 weeks. There is also a short homemade cocktail list and a reasonable amount of liquors available to make good, basic, cocktails. They will let you sample anything on tap prior to ordering it. I don't know if flights were available, we didn't ask and didn't find out if short pours were available. As someone who likes some carbs and salt as I'm drinking, I really appreciated the warm mid-sized complimentary pretzel that came with each beer. You'll have to check their calendar of events to find out what other types of foods may be available on any given day. Ilium's location in Troy is very convenient, and this is a great add to the list of breweries in the area.

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

This is a lost service in the restaurant industry, but a lovely touch. We were seated in, what can only be described as, a room with phenomenal atmosphere. They have a cocktail menu that included historical cocktails dating back to the 19th Century until present day. The cocktails were perfect. We had pre-ordered a half bottle of champagne. It was very good. We also ordered caviar service. It is 1 ounce with sour cream, egg whites, yolks, and onions. Fresh made Bellinis that were still warm. We enjoyed it immensely. It was a lovely compliment to the champagne. For an appetizer we enjoyed the escargot. We have had escargot in many places, rarely, if ever, was it as good at this was. The garlic butter was on point, the crusty bread was a great addition to the dish. It was served with tiny leaves of Swiss chard. We cannot recommend this enough. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from their extensive wine list, Stag's Leap. This wine paired perfectly with the filet mignon bordelaise, and the veal chop with cherry peppers. We had a visit with the chef, he was a wonderful representative of this amazing restaurant. We cannot recommend this place enough. It's a little spendy, but worth every penny. Service, 5 stars! Atmosphere, 5 stars! Food, better than 5 stars! We will definitely be back.

It was darkly lit inside (with pinkish/red lights no less); it was extremely loud to the point that I had trouble understanding what my wife was saying (which might not be the background music!); and the prices were expensive. The entire night they played 1980s New-wave British music which I don't mind, but had it been something I detest I would have lost my mind. We were seated at a tiny table with a small candle which provided some actual heat on the cold winter night. Our server was extremely helpful and though he didn't have all the answers he did offer to go and find out. They have a long menu but it doesn't have a lot of food options on it, with most of the pages devoted to alcohol. They had only one dessert option when we were there. My wife and I both ordered the Hanger Steak with fries, mushroom sauce, and green salad (about $40 each). Hanger steak is my favorite cut and hard to find so I jumped on it. Food came out in about 25 minutes, which is amazing considering how small their kitchen is. The steak was cooked perfectly (they didn't ask how we wanted it), smothered in a lovely mushroom sauce, and covered an ample portion of crispy homemade fries which were so good I would have thought them bagged frozen items. Even the basic salad which was just various types of lettuce was great. They aren't cheap, but they are focusing on "farm to table" and that means quality food at commensurate (fair?) prices. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are $15, so if you want something lighter but still tasty you can go that route. Speaking of light, if you go into the bathroom on the right you will find a cold, dark, tiny room lit solely by a PINK bulb. It feels like being on a spaceship (as if I know what that is like), and after when you leave seeing the main light in the restaurant is very jarring. It was a fun experience but not inexpensive and not one that checks the boxes that I look for in a restaurant. Dark, loud, and cramped might be hip for the young or "save the earth" crowd, but I am too old to give up creature comforts for such things. Walked across the street from the motel but found that place closed till later afternoon. Looked across the other street and decided to go to Ryan's Wake. Walked in and fell in love with the place and loved it more upon hearing their history, especially about the beautiful bar back. I didn't want to eat too much as the wedding was just a few hours away so I ordered the special mushroom soup and cup of chili while my wife had the world's best Reuben. OMG The mushroom soup was outstanding and fortunately they were out of chili as there's no way my wife could eat that Reuben by herself. It was huge and delicious. Got to know John the bartender very well as well as all the other staff and the owner, Chris who even walked us to our car. What a great place with very special staff and excellent food. Just wish I didn't live over 300 miles away or this would easily become a VERY regular stop. READERS - DON'T MISS IT!
