Been coming here every so often over recent years for a variety of issuse from ankle, to lower back…read moreto neck issues and have always experienced great care from their physical therapists and it remains a place I recommend for injury rehab and education regardless if you are a pro athlete, a weekend warrior, or a regular joe injured on the job or doing everyday activities. Not only are they skilled to help, but they asdo do care. But that also means that there aren't sometimes issues that need attention or rectifying. The lost star from this visit is becasue of certain assumptions made during my visit. It is common fore your therapist here, when applying cups or needles as a therapudic tool, will walk away and work on others. Sometimes they dont return and another care professional will finish up. On this case, that was what happened and I was just handed some papers showing after care execises to do at home. The problem was, there was no communication as to the purpose of each or demonstartions. Because they know me, there was an assumption that I know what to do at home. Although a picture and description is helpful, it is very easy to do things wrong making it ineffective to the intent or in such a way to cause undesired pain or fatigue. So always ask, if it is your first time with a new exercise or you are addressing a different issue from the last time, ask for a demonstration before you leave. They have offered an opportunity to come in and go over those exercises as part of my last appointment. Transparency, this is an edited review. Other issues involving a new person at the front desk were resolved after one of the owners called me personally to better understand issues I had. That is being resolve with both Training and any other type of customer support notification. And the fact I was called, vs. a canned written response on yelp, shows that they care and further supports my positive recommendation. While my Physical Therapist was personally very kind and attentive, I would only work with her for about 10-15 minutes per session and was then passed on to the assistants who were NOT attentive. They would give me my exercises to complete but rather than staying and ensuring I was doing them correctly would run to another patient and work with them, and then I would be sitting there for several minutes inbetween exercises waiting for the assistant to come back. I came three weeks in a row and every week was like this-the facility just seemed like they had too many patients scheduled at once and not enough employees to properly take care of all the patients. As someone who has done physical therapy at several facilities over the years I was disappointed in my care and would not recommend coming here. I gave it a two because I liked my physical therapist but if it wasn't for her I would give this facility a one.

Matt not only teaches others with calmness and complete focus, he treats his patients the same, totally focused on providing the best care for each individual and is extremely calm which radiates confidence to the patient. After getting two treatments from another PT place, I was referred by a friend to Matt at Foothills and I'm extremely grateful Matt squeezed me in to help me with my shoulder injury, doctors wanted to do surgery but Matt suggested PT along with dry needles/deep tissue massage and it's worked out AMAZING. Talk about night and day difference between PT places, I'd definitely return if I had another injury. The care here from Matt and others is top notch. The facility is clean and orderly, up to date machines and every kind of item needed for exercises for any injury. This office also runs ON TIME, there is never any waiting or wasted time during treatments, very important to me. Totally recommend Foothills PT on Val Vista and definitely see Matt Midkiff.

Extremely disappointed with ATI Physical Therapy and their billing practices…read more Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I specifically asked them to verify my insurance and tell me exactly what my cost would be per visit. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend ATI Physical Therapy based on my experience. If you decide to use them, I strongly recommend getting your expected TOTAL cost in writing before receiving any services.
