This place came from a word of mouth recommendation. The office is very nice with a lot of equipment & many treatment tables dotting the outer perimeter. The front office staff is friendly and welcoming & the PT I met with was pretty nice & determined to solve my issue. I feel I received great care and attention the first three times and then the care and attention became inconsistent. I had an issue with one of the PT techs on my 4th visit. That particular person was unprofessional and lacked personal boundaries. After having a conversation with the office manager, I was assured that it would be addressed and was thanked for my call. I also mentioned I did not care to work with this person in the future. On my most recent visit, I saw my chart which had a neon orange sticky note stating that I did not want to work with a certain person. It was shocking to me that what I thought was a private, professional and confidential conversation now became a sticky note for everyone to see. I feel that my discomfort with this specific PT tech was not taken seriously & it was unprofessionally handled. Lastly, I feel the care and attention I received from my PT person & staff declined after pointing out my discomfort about the tech. read more

My daughter had her achilles tendon lengthening surgery 2 months ago and has been working with Tyler and Abby as well as another nice lady. My daughter has come so far!!!!!! This isn't just regular PT you would get at school or somewhere that offers other services with it. This is the REAL DEAL!!!! ALWAYS on schedule, easy, convenient and accommodating. I have to give a big shout out to Blankinship Physical Therapy. I went to them after having arthroscopic shoulder surgery for a dislocating shoulder (torn labrum). My arm went from only being able to lift it a bit higher than shoulder length, to all the way straight up. Also I'm able to move my arm almost completely up my back and straight out too. I was getting no real results from my ortho's in-house PT. Once I switched it was so much better. First of all, MUCH less pain during PT, less exercises needed at home, and results! Anyone who is in need of PT in the East Valley should definitely go to them! They start off almost everyone with 8 min massage in the area affected along with several other treatments. So much better than the hot pack at my previous PT. All the people there are super nice too. Today is my last session and I'm really going to miss everyone there. Thanks Blankinship!! The reason I came back for a second condition for physical therapy at Blankinship is my physical therapist Jake. It was clear he cared about my goals and recovery. He let me establish what I would consider as progress and asked what I wanted to focus but still had a regimen that was meant to push me and get me back to normal. I didn't have a specific injury either time(tingling down arm at various times, weak knees during certain physical activities). The experience at this clinic was night and day compared to a very popular chain that is around town where you feel like a number. The clinic gives each therapist flexibility to use what techniques they think fit best. He did ultrasound, deep tissue massage , scraping and needling on me. I told him I wasn't a huge fan of the ultra sound so he didn't push it going forward. Just as much time was spent on exercises and even creating a routine for when I travel and only have access to a hotel gym. There are plenty of Physical Therapy assistants who have worked there for a while and know the patience so it doesn't feel like they are just going through the motions. Patients range in age from teenagers to citizens of Leisure World. As long as I live in the East Valley this will be my go to spot. read more

I started PT here after being in PT at an amazing place in North Carolina and then moved here. I never thought I would find a place as good as my former one, but this one exceeds my expectations. My therapist was not consistent in her approach and after reviewing exercises with my surgeon, not what he prescribed. First visit went well 2 weeks after hip replacement. Third week, second visit my husband dropped me off and I was seen to by a junior/warm up therapist and he had me do exercises from first visit for 10 minutes or so, then said pt would be right over. I did another 10 minutes by myself as I watched the pt guy I'd had the previous week across the large, open therapy room, working with somebody else. My appt was for 9:30 mind you, so at 10:10 I toddled out to the reception area (with my walker) and called my husband to come get me. I walkered back and forth for 10 minutes or so til he got there. No one came looking for me, no one at desk asked me what was up. They weren't very busy so that wasn't the excuse. My husband went in to complain after loading me into the car and they didn't really seem to own up or care too much. The therapist left a message on my phone later that afternoon saying he was sorry but he had another client named Kim booked for the exact same time. Really? Also got a statement in the mail that they have billed my insurance company for 3800.00 for the next several weeks of therapy. Good to know their accountant is efficient. I began going to Blankinship Physical Therapy in late December to help with a recent knee injury. I chose Blankinship due to a recommendation from my wife, who had seen them in 2015 to rehabilitate from a broken ankle. When I first started with them, I was still experiencing a lot of pain and swelling, and a lack of stability in my left knee. My assigned therapist was Craig Blankinship, although I did spend a lot of time with the other professionals on staff throughout my course of treatment. After about the second week of PT, I began to notice a lessening of pain and swelling, and I could tell that the strength and stability of the knee was improving. I not only did the exercises recommended while at their facility, but also did them at home in between visits. In total, I made about 10 visits to Blankinship and have completed their program. I do not have any pain or significant limitations in my knee at this time, and I feel that the treatment I received from them is directly responsible for my rapid healing and improvement. I left there with a better understanding of what I can do to maintain the health of my knee(s), and a good program of exercises and stretches that I can continue on my own. The staff of Blankinship is friendly, supportive, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and competence at their jobs. I really appreciate their level of care and how welcome they made me feel during my visits. I highly recommend Blankinship to anyone needing help with their physical therapy needs. read more

I recently completed several weeks of physical therapy for plantar fasciitis at Blankenship Physical Therapy. I was evaluated and therapy was explained to me in detail on my first appointment, after which I attended twice a week sessions, starting on that first day. I have been to physical therapy at other businesses three other times, for other health issues, and this was by far my most positive experience, and the best results! What set Blankenship apart? One thing very important to me was that my time was never wasted, waiting for the next stretch or exercise to be explained, or for the next therapy to be applied, such as ASTYM or cold laser. There was a therapist who was in charge of my treatment who always started off the session, then an assistant was in charge of making sure I continued to move from treatment to treatment, and each was explained to me and demonstrated, and then recorded on a form that I had completed each. They were close by to make sure I was using correct form, and yet let me go ahead and move on and be independent, also. There were always plenty of staff to assist myself and all of the patients receiving therapy at the same time. My therapist was Marshall, and I couldn't be happier with his therapy! He used ASTYM tools on my calf and my foot, and this therapy can be painful, although effective. Marshall always asked how I had done since the previous session, adjusting the therapy based on my report, and on examination of the limbs involved. He kept the tone light by chatting and joking a bit, in a professional way, which took my mind off of some of the discomfort, which I appreciated! The front office staff was also very efficient, and friendly, checking me in as soon as I arrived, completing payments and appointment scheduling quickly and always cheerfully! I felt very welcomed! Nobody really wants to go to physical therapy, let's face facts! But if you have to go to therapy, you want it to be as pleasant as possible, in a clean, cheery place, with knowledgeable staff, and you want to GET BETTER! THIS is that place! Having had more than a dozen orthopedic surgeries including reconstructive ACL surgery, rotator cuff repairs and lumbar decompression/laminectomy/fusion surgery I'm no stranger to physical therapy & rehabilitation providers - and despite having just moved from Virginia to Arizona, Blankenship Physical Therapy was the second provider I've used since moving here. Fortunately, Blankenship will be the only provider that I'll need to consider for any future needs. I am highly impressed with all aspects of their operation and how well they worked together as a team. The front office staff is friendly, organized and helpful. My therapist was professional, knowledgeable, hands on and kept attuned to my progress and response to my ongoing therapy. What a great feeling to be able to walk more than 5 minutes at a time. When I started my therapy, I had no feeling in my feet, I would get sharp pains in my leg and it would give out on me. About 2 weeks into my therapy I started to get feeling in my feet and my leg muscles were starting to get better signals from my nerves. All of the therapists were very professional and friendly. I had gone to another PT on 3 separate occasions after knee surgery who did not do half as good a job as the staff at Blankinship. They care about you as a person and change treatment as I report changes, good or bad, during my time there. Tychelle is an amazing massage therapist. Because of her, my foot swelling is so little that I can fit back into proper shoes to work in and thus do not fall at work anymore.
