The whole place was tastefully decorated with Angel's artwork (more on him later). Next, the receptionist (I'm kicking myself for not catching her name) was absolutely lovely. She was very kind and accommodating. When she learned it was my first tattoo, she explained exactly what to expect and reassured me that I was in good hands. We had a pleasant conversation until Angel was ready to take me back. When Angel escorted me back to the private tattoo room, the positive notes from the reception area continued. Everything was very clean and Angel explained each step of the process, even telling me exactly where he was going to rest his arm while he worked. I watched him set out his equipment and, again, he kept things clean and remained kind. The tattoo itself is absolutely gorgeous. It's a small lotus flower tucked behind my ear. I was completely blown away by the level of detail he was able to achieve with such a small design. The shading is exquisite and he added his own touch to the design that I had provided. It's perfect! So, if you're looking for a location to get a tattoo, big or small, Guardian Art Gallery is the place to go and Angel is the best man for the job. I can't say enough about the entire experience. Also, Angel was military, so be sure to thank him for his service to our country!

I went to MBeauty Studio for my first-ever full set of lashes. The studio itself is absolutely beautiful--clean, calming, and very aesthetically pleasing. That's the main reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. I booked a next-day morning appointment with the only tech available at the time. As a first-timer, I was a little confused and surprised that no consultation was offered before starting. I shared clear reference photos of what I wanted--light, fluffy, wispy lashes with that spiky, anime-inspired texture. Unfortunately, what I received was a short, curled, clustered lash line that didn't resemble the look I had requested. While I didn't speak up in the moment due to anxiety, part of me felt there wasn't much point if the tech wasn't capable of delivering the style and there was no one else available to fix it. My eyes were very sore afterward, and the entire experience felt uncomfortable. For the high price, it just didn't feel worth it. I also believe there's a responsibility on the part of ownership and management in any beauty studio to ensure that all techs are trained to a consistent level of talent and artistry--especially when offering premium services. That consistency is key to a positive client experience, and sadly, it was missing in my case. I had been considering them for nano brows, but after this, I'll likely look elsewhere.

Painful, unprofessional, and rude. I made a last-minute appointment because my regular person was…read morenot available, and I was very clear about what I was looking for. The manager said that what I was asking for was very basic and simple and that way it wouldn't be a problem. Halfway through I was suffering in a lot of pain. I don't know exactly what they were doing to me, but when I went to the bathroom (which was broken) I was horrified at the image, staring back at me. I looked like a cheap prostitute. The eyelashes were so full and thick and nothing like the natural look I had showed them. I immediately went to the manager, and the owner was with her, and he tried to convince me that I looked great and better than the photo that I had shown him. He never apologized, and they made no attempt to reconcile the situation. When the job was finished, I insisted that I should not be paying for this because it was nothing like what I asked for and I had to really fight hard for that. The male owner was so intensely rude to me that I could not pay for this! I insisted that I should not have to pay to look like this, and he kept trying to convince me about how how much time and effort the worker put into me and that she deserved to be compensated. It was quite an argument, and I felt terrible about myself when I left. This business was completely unprofessional. I was treated so horribly. Not only was the service ugly, but the business aesthetic is akin to your local DMV. I was also forced to listen to an hour and a half news broadcast from President Trump at full-volume. Not exactly the relaxing service environment. Usually when you're getting your brows or lashes or hair done, you're in a beautiful location, listening to calm, peaceful music. Not aggressive, argumentative news!
