My son was invited to an iFLY party there. This is his second iFLY experience. He rated today's…read moreexperience as 10/10. His session was about 1.5-2 hours, joined by another group of stranger party. He said the instructor was great. They gave you a certificate of completion after. No concession stand but vending machines are available. $1.5 for a can of soda which is very reasonable. Parking can be a problem. The street outside was ' no parking anytime'. They do send you an email ahead to remind you about parking situation. A nearby parking garage ( 7 min walk) will validate your ticket and you only have to pay $10 for unlimited parking on that day. But that's really nothing to walk around there. The only choice for waiting parents is to wait on site. They will also email video and photo after the session. Free download of the sample videos. If you want high definition, then you have to pay. Parents were also allowed to take pictures during flight experience.

We came in a group and lucked out on having Andy, who is the ultimate real-life daredevil--the kind you can imagine to skydive in his sleep, as our instructor. Thank god he made sure the safety measures were drilled in our heads because I would probably shoot straight up to the roof the moment I step into the vent. Our group had people of all shapes and sizes, and he was extremely patient with us and most importantly, made sure we had fun. I wouldn't come without a group or deal since each flight lasts only 60 seconds and the first half of that time, you'll be spending trying to adjust yourself and not get carried away--literally. But it's a great foundational (and I use that lightly) course to get a feel of whether being among the clouds is in the cards or not.

We each got two flights with an instructor, one flight lasting about 60 or 90 seconds. We opted to add the "high flight" for $20 more- that's when the instructor takes you to the top of the tube, very, very high up. We enjoyed every moment, from being suited up, to learning about proper positions, to balancing in the air, to the HIGHHH flight. Our instructor was so friendly and engaging and made this the best experience for my husband's special day. This is a little bit of a pricy experience, but not too outrageous to try once in a lifetime! Also, check online for deals and discounts. They're always posting some discounts for various holidays.

Be mindful there is a weight limit for the experience ( 260lb +) so check before booking. They make you weight in before giving you a wristband to proceed upstairs. There's a small section upstairs to host private parties , picture backdrop , and lockers to put you personal items ( they aren't too big so don't bring anything oversized ) they do ask that you lock up your phones before entering the chamber to fly. Orientation was detailed . our Instructor Rashad was high energy, personable and skilled. All in all this was an interesting activity for a date night We ended up feeling sore right after and even the next day. So keep this in mind and answer the pre-orientation documents honestly if you have any pre -existing injuries or illness- as to not make those things worse.

Circus Academy NY (formerly Trapeze School NY) was an incredible place to take my first trapeze class. Did their Thursday afternoon class @ Pier 40 yesterday from 6-8 PM and all 3 instructors - Yiannis, Ross, and Stuart - were knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel safe. Special shout out to Yiannis for his sense of humor and warmth! I liked that all instructors gave detailed guidance, patiently answered questions, and then demo'ed the sequence. I especially appreciated that if students didn't feel comfortable flipping or being caught mid-air, the instructors encouraged everyone but didn't pressure anyone to do something if the student wasn't feeling it. I lived in NY for years and my only regret is not having taken regular classes here while I was still here. LOVED the experience and I intend on taking a class every time I'm visiting NY! A few notes on logistics for Pier 40 classes: -arrive 10-15 min early to change, check into your class, and get fitted into your harness -to reach the class, take the elevator to the third floor and walk through the parking lot towards the turf soccer field, you'll see the huge trapeze structure -there's a changing room, water, also cliff bars and sunscreen available for purchase on the roof (third floor) -bathrooms are on the second floor

What a great experience, I'm still soaking in how cool and accessible this class was. What made the experience was how well thought-out the teaching experience is, and how passionate the instructors are at correcting your form and helping you succeed in such a brief time. This is truly a school. Some of the people helping me were Hal, Aaron, Allie. They have a great system to get you set up with safety, get you hooked, and help you through the tricks as you get a feel for swinging through the air. I felt I could put my complete trust to them as they called out for my next move, and could focus on getting the trick right. The time flies fast, and your time on the trapeze is fast-paced so make sure you're warmed up and ready to swing your legs onto the bar that you're holding with your hands. The only downside is that the amount of times you get to go up the ladder depends on how many people are also in the class with you, since it's an individual sport (I got to fly three times). I would highly recommend!

The most incredible experience!…read more As a 40th birthday gift from Hubs and Bubs, I finally got to jump out of a plane. I have talked about doing this for years, and even have done daring things, but I had yet to do it, until now. GoJump made this experience pretty quick, seamless and made you feel super comfortable given the high intensity of the activity. You fill out the waiver on the tablet which was to the left when you walk in. After that's complete, you check in over at the front desk. You settle up the final bill there because thats where you can pick if you want pictures/video and what package you would like. There is one with just a handcam and then the second is the handcam and another jumper filming you from an outside POV. I just did the handcam which was sufficent enough. It came with a TON of stills of me along my skydiving journey. It also came with an edited video which first features the jump itself, and then a video of the whole experience from being harnessed up to the jump itself. Shout out to Steve, the COO, who was our harness guy. Having him give me the background of the whole operation added that much more to the whole thing. Coming in and sticking around New York while they set up their newest location makes me hold a lot of respect for the whole operation. He was just a super cool dude as well. Rohrbeck was my instructor and he was the dopest! He made me feel super comfortable from the jump. He also made sure Hubs and I got a picture at the very beginning before taking me up. It's really indescribable. A 10 minute flight takes you 8000 feet up. It was the nicest day. I could see to connecticut. I looked over the beach. I saw Long Island in a way I never thought I would see it before and it was even more beautiful. I know I hate on LI sometimes, but it is part of me and at that moment I was proud.

From start to finish, he made the whole experience feel fun, safe, and unforgettable. His energy, confidence, and calm made all the difference. You've got a real gem on your team. Please thank him for me -- he truly made it super special. I'll be telling everyone to book with GoJump!
