My daughter has attended camp at Brooklyn Equine for two years in a row, and we have had a wonderful experience both summers. It is a great place for tweens to learn not only how to ride, but also how to properly care for, respect, and handle horses.
One thing I especially appreciate is how well the horses are treated. The horses are amazing, clearly well cared for, and we have never seen them being mistreated. The counselors are very nice, knowledgeable, and attentive, and they are also very good about establishing and enforcing rules, which is so important when children are working with horses.
Over her two summers at Brooklyn Equine, my daughter has learned a lot about how to confidently handle horses, be in control while working with them, and understand the responsibility that comes with caring for these beautiful animals.
Another thing we really appreciate is that they welcome campers back to visit the horses during the year. They have always been very warm and welcoming when we have returned, which makes the experience feel even more special and creates a real sense of community.
Overall, Brooklyn Equine has been a very positive and valuable experience for my daughter, and I would definitely recommend it to families with tweens who love horses and want to learn more about caring for and working with them. read more
